The Lodge Description
Nestled in the heart of the old village, The Lodge in Old Hunstanton Norfolk offers a relaxed and casual experience - perfectly combining the traditional with the contemporary.
Conveniently situated only 500 yards from Old Hunstanton beach, coastal walks and Old Hunstanton Golf Course.
The food is simply sumptuous, our specials blackboard changes daily - with an emphasis on fresh fish and locally sourced produce. For the ultimate treat, try our homemade puddings and sundaes.
Dine in the bar, outside in the veranda garden or enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the dining room. The bar offers cocktails and a great selection of wines and real ales.
We have just completed the exciting refurbishment of our 16 accommodation rooms, which are simply fantastic. “The Loft” and “The Attic” rooms are superior accommodation suites with sea views. Our Courtyard rooms are individually special. Most of the rooms have super king size beds, and all accommodation is equipped to a high standard, with flat screen televisions, modern en-suites and warm, fluffy bath towels.
We also offer 5 luxurious self catering cottages within a stones throw from The Lodge Inn itself, ranging from 4-8 Adults maximum per property and room for children as well, all are pet friendly with many extras available including our own chef & butler dining experience.

Went on Thursday evening and sat in the garden as it was a lovely evening. We had been given a voucher for Christmas and it seemed a good night to enjoy the lovely menu.
My boyfriend had the fish and chips and o chose a 4 cheese oven baked pizza. All came very promptly and looked well presented and good sized portions.
The staff were helpful, friendly and the atmosphere was great.
Everything was clean and plentiful.
Would I go again most definitely.
We were given such good reviews by some of my friends and clients that we had to come and find out for ourselves and we were not disappointed, we had booked a suite "the attic" and when we went in we were amazed at the space and querkie outlay , food was outstanding and could not fault anything except such a large key fob which could be made smaller. Staff are very friendly and make your stay very enjoyable and comfortable so all in all its a great place to come and relax , will definitely come back again and recommend to everyone I know. 5�
We stayed one night and our room was clean and spacious. Our meal in the evening was outstanding and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast didn’t disappoint either although we were still full from our dinner! Lovely location near the beach too.
We stayed at The Lodge on Friday evening and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in the Loft which was a lovely suite, our 4 year old loved sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge, he didn't want to leave! The food was delicious, we had an evening meal and breakfast and could not fault a thing. The staff were also great, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The location is great, a play park right opposite for children which our 4 year old enjoyed and the beach is a few minutes down the road. We walked from old Hunstanton to new Hunstanton along the beach which was beautiful. On the way back we did the cliff top walk. Our 4 year old found lots to do during our 2 day break and was very sad to have to leave to go home. My husband and I also enjoyed our stay, we will definitely return!
We have stayed here on a number of occasions, we love it. Location is excellent, The rooms we have stayed in, have been spacious, good quality and very clean. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Great selection of Gins !!!! and reasonably priced. Staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble . Looking forward to our next stay.
We drove over to Hunstanton as a last minute idea as the weather was great. We've stayed in The Lodge a few times before and my parents also stay there regularly. They had one room left when we arrived and it was a suite. The room is gorgeous and very large. Free standing bath in 1 bathroom, large bedroom area, living room area with sofas and another TV, then a shower room too. The room came with all you would expect and nice little extras such as a fridge.
The breakfast was really nice too. The staff and always really helpful and polite too. We'll definitely be returning again soon.
Unfortunately we had to leave The Lodge today after originally booking for 2 nights but eventually extending our stay to 7!!!! We had the most amazing stay at this wonderful hotel and have already booked to come back in September!! Thank you to the incredible staff who made us so welcome, we are missing you already!!! You are a wonderful team and nothing seemed too much trouble for you, you all went above and beyond to make it a truly magical stay! Our room was fabulous and impeccably clean with the biggest bed I have ever seen!! We even had a sea view!! The food was divine (Mark is already missing his breakfast!!). Thank you all again and we will see you in September!!! (140 more sleeps!!!)
Stayed for four nights in February in The Coal Bunker. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was very spacious with large comfortable bed, walk in shower and jacuzzi. Plenty of room for our dog bed too.
We had dinner and breakfast every day. So much choice and beautifully cooked food.
Staff are all very friendly.
The Lodge is a perfect place for a relaxing break or just a visit for evening meal...Just Perfect
Stayed at the lodge last Sunday till Tuesday this was our 7th stay here it has been redecorated and a few changes for the better since our last visit stayed in different room than last few times very comfortable and cosy .Meals still wonderful and filling Staff friendly and helpful had very relaxing time Will be back again soon.

Popped in Wednesday lunchtime after a walk on the beach with my daughter, staff were welcoming and polite, the food was absolutely delicious, the beef melted in your mouth, will definitely pop in again.
