What a great weekend . Sarah your are the most hardworking and friendliest landlady I have ever met and Bryan the chef and landlord what can I say !!!!!! The food was fantastic every meal was as good as the next . Thanks a mill guys we will be back x don't forget to visit when ye come to Ireland �

Went here whilst visiting with friends for Sunday lunch and best roasties I’ve ever had in a pub

Excellent meal and we all cleared our plates

Kids included

They even did gluten free pasta option for one in our party

Who lives normally in sunny worthing

Went for Sunday Lunch today... WOW Wow! Had a couple of nice pints whilst we waited for a table. The beef look amazing I had the pork which was Devine! But I had a little taste of the Hugband’s pink beef dinner! Nom a nom nom. Then just as we were thinking dessert was taking a while, they arrived so understood the wait and of course well well worth waiting for! A monster cookie and salted caramel ice cream in a very hot iron skillet. Oh heavenly!! 11/10 ��

We were made so welcome and that included our 3yo Kerry Blue Terrier. The room was spacious and comfortable and all food/drink was delicious and served to order. We met some lovely friendly locals and will definitely be back. Highly recommended for your Bakewell break. Steve, Suzi and Roxy the dog 🐶 xx

The food is delicious and the service was excellent. I cannot recommend it enough. We were a party of 6 and all of us came away very happy and satisfied. We will be back xx

One of the best pubs we have been to - traditional environment but with a twist - top class food - fab menu and amazingly friendly and welcoming. By offering bed and breakfast both onsite and nearby means the experience is complete!! Such a great atmosphere - combination of staff and clientele!

Loved our stay at The Manners! Staff were lovely especially Sarah, the food is literally to die for my hanging kebab was amazing. They were pet friendly and really great with my little puppy. Lovely rooms and great beer! Thankyou. �� #5stars

Just an over night stay on 9th December, with friends following a visit to Chatsworth House. The food is excellent, great beer, attentive helpful staff & BigSur played on the night, they were brilliant. The locals were friendly & we had the best night in a long time, Dave's a legend. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

Great food lovely big soft towels. Real coffee machine in the room and a fridge. Highly recommend everyone who works here very professional. We ate in the pub and the food was gorgeous great service. Would visit and stay here again

Friendly pub with great rooms, delicious food and dog friendly. NB rooms in pub are above kitchen so not suitable for those who go to bed really early, Avenue House may suit you better, didn’t bother us though!

The most luckies thing of our trip is staying in Avenue House, Bakewell at all.

Delicious food, friendly staff, good service, comfortable room. Welcomed my dogs, what's not to like?! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, thank you.

Been a few times for a Sunday lunch, never had a bad one beef is always perfect and pink. Had the fish cake starter and omg every mouth full was amazing and full of flavour, my other half had the chicken kebab that was also amazing. Will defo go back to test the rest of the menu. Also has a play area and beer garden.

Amazing food , friendly staff , the staff love there job they are so good and just listening to them speak to customers was brilliant .. will defo travel up from Lincoln for a roast again ..

Spot on!



Had the belly pork main, fantastic! Slow cooked, so the pork just melted. You could have used a spoon!

Slow cooking delivered all the flavour without the fat. A rich sauce complemented by the black pudding side balanced the dish perfectly!



Well done Chef!



Great wholesome British pub food given a little finesse. Just as it should be!
