Here at The Navigation you are greeted with nothing less than a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. With a lively staff serving a variety of drinks ranging from real ales to an impressive gin collection, 'The Nav' really does provide something for everyone.
We are the perfect place in the day to relax and enjoy a hot or cold beverage whilst soaking in the laid back atmosphere, offering picturesque views of both the River Trent and Newark Castle. Transforming into a slick and sophisticated bar at night, come to indulge in conversation with old friends and new, all whilst enjoying the fine wine and great beer we have to offer.

Went there yesterday, great atmosphere and setting by the river, The Hedley Brothers were playing, fantastic band and will be back to see them again, really enjoyed it, thanks guys 👌
Went there to watch a specific live music gig and I'll undoubtedly be back. Great friendly staff and we even got free taster samples from the kitchen. Abi's playing again July 8th and I'm really looking forward to returning. :)
Went in at lunchtime midweek, no one else there but us and the very pleasant young man behind the bar who showed us photos of the building from years ago. Great location and simple decor that complements the historical building it is in.
Went in Friday night to watch the stranglers who as usual were great. Place looked so much cleaner and brighter . Reminded me of the good old days. Landlord had a chat with us and was very welcoming. Defo be back more often. Well done all ..
We can't thank the staff enough for making our special day that extra bit special and stress free. Excellent food and great environment.
Watched a great band in the Navigation last night called The Solution. Great atmosphere when all the other pubs in town were dead. Really enjoyed it.
The tapas is lovely and had the homemade soup today which is a great addition to the lunch time menu. Would definitely recommend not only for the food but also the friendly staff.
Thank you to all the amazing staff at the navigation for making my mum and dads 40th wedding anniversary one to remember. Great tapas menu, great music and amazing service. Great afternoon, thanks again x

Friendly staff, good food and a great selection of beers. Good entertainment on most weekends, highly recommend.
Fab place to relax with friends, have a catch up, listen to great live music and sample the wide range of drinks available. Good atmosphere and a cosy feel to the place. It's all good!

Had a great night in The Nav last night. Went to see Basket Case play and as usual they didnt disappoint lol. Glad we got in early enough to get a table and seat as it soon filled up. Lovely place by the river. Worth a visit x
Great pub with loads of atmosphere, often having some good live bands playing.
A gem sited by the canal in Newark.
Very welcoming to small groups of cyclists and even allowed us to stash our bikes in the pub whilst we took refreshments.
