The food is excellent, the lounge is spacious and the kids entertainment they put on during the school holidays is a Godsend. I've no qualms about recommending The Newton Bar. The Tapas and Steak nights they put on are also amazing.

The atmosphere is most welcoming!-Staff go above and beyond to make your visit a memorable experience- Entertainment for Children of all ages is a hi-light for families, ideal for Visitors to the wee island. The Menu is catered to all dietary needs and great prices is a bonus. The locals are cheery and friendly .

Popped down to Millport for the weekend and lucked upon the Newtons tapas night, absolutely delicious! I stopped going to tapas in Glasgow as I was always disappointed in the meals we had so I was a bit dubious at first. Did not disappoint! 5 of us left full and well satisfied. Would consider popping down just for the day next time to have some more. x

Nice pub, great staff. My second trip to Millport was last year with my cousins and we stopped in for a few drinks while out for the evening.

My friend Fiona and I did a day trip to Millport. Went into the Newton bar for a drink before we headed for the ferry. Sorry I can't remember the name of the owner,but he gave us a lovely welcome and went outside to see if the bus was coming to make sure we didn't miss the last ferry. Great service.

Had the privilege of sampling the steak last night. Robert knows how to cook a steak to perfection. Would advise anyone to sample it. Will be back for more

Had a nice wee visit to The Newton Bar yesterday ,with family. We had a nice relaxing time with pleasant staff.x

Fabulous place...great menu and great food....excellent with dietary requirements.. Staff are brilliant...an ideal stop for lunches or evening meals or a little drink or two!..

Fabulous food and always a friendly welcome and great to find a dog friendly bar. Always come here for lunch when we visit.

Curry night was great! Very tasty chicken jalfreezi, poppadoms and mixed pakora, washed down with a cold beer. Great food thank you very much! Now looking forward to the steak night next Saturday!

Ate here on mammy's day. Great food at reasonable prices � staff are friendly and accommodating. First time here, but won't be our last. �

Amazing. Friendly staff, excellent varied and high quality food selection. Recommended if you are down for the day / overnight or longer with the kids and looking for a family friendly lounge. The bar again is great for nights out and even stopping in for one when outwith the dog (s).

Amazing Steak Night ..so tasty and cooked to perfection..can’t wait for the next one! Well done guys 👍
