We are Bible-believing church serving the community of Stapleford which teaches that Jesus is Lord.
The Pastures Community Church Description
Our church has been based in Stapleford for over 50 years.
We believe our role is to serve the community and in doing so, show the real impact of Christianity and how the fantastic message of Jesus is still relevant and life changing today.
In a world where people are searching for satisfaction, acceptance and understanding, we believe that the Bible holds the answers to all of life's questions.
Our basic beliefs are the same as all the main Christian Churches who have doctrines based on the Apostles creed.
Some of the truths that we find most important are;
That the Bible is God's inspired word to us. It is entirely reliable and through it we can learn how to live life as God requires;
That Jesus Christ is God and it is only through the Holy Spirit that we can enjoy a close and personal relationship to God;
That to become a Christian involves being given a new life through confessing our sin and believing in Jesus as our Saviour;
That Jesus Christ has conquered death and this gives every Christian a definite hope for their future life.
