On Monday 31st August in the early hours of the morning, a dear friend and employee lost his life on the road near where he lived and worked. He was an inspirational young man who had his whole life ahead of him. He was our sous chef and a huge part of our team, we would like to thank all of our customers for their support and kind words. Our deepest sympathy is with the parents, family & friends of Halcyon. R.I.P Halcyon Theuri

Fantastic food and great staff.

I've been reading the feedback and I'm quite shocked to hear people are disappointed with staff, food quantity and quality.

We had to wait to be seated but we wasn't in a rush anyway.

The quality of the food was A1.

The staff were A1.



As for portion size. You get what you pay for. We chose six items off of the menu between 2 of us (which was a bit much for us) and had a drink of larger each and it was less than £30.

What more do you want.

Definitely a place I will return to ÔøΩ

Lovely evening meal with my friends and my partner. There was plenty to choose from... me and my partner chose from the 3 for £10.95 each menu and there was definately plenty of choice and 3 tapas each filled us. The rose wine was beautiful, not normally a huge fan but I enjoyed this one. Will be back again

Loved it. Food was delicious and we really enjoyed the small plates so ordered a selection and wasn't dissapointed. Service was brilliant. All on all a lovely experience. We will be back.ÔøΩ

Just want two say a big massive thank you two Jamie ana mark I had a baby reveal party on the 8th of April and these two did a lot of last minute running around for me and my husband and all our guests they was both brilliant thanks guys xx

I met a friend here today along with our children and we had a lovely meal. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. The staff were very attentive with us and the children. We had such a lovely time we will definitely be back.

Had a meal here yesterday was abit confused by menu as never been before staff were very helpful and helped us out straight. Food was amazing really enjoyed would totally recommend it, think it's a great idea having food like that and you can have a bit of everything! Will deffo be returning so can try the other thing on the menu :)

Driving round looking for somewhere to eat, drives past here on off chance thought we would risk it. So glad we did the food was out of the world staff brilliant and not that expensive. All in all it was spectacular

We were completely forgotten about last night, so much so, that I gave up after 35 minutes of being sat at our table with no service and went to the bar to get our bottle of wine.

After waiting an age, we finally got some menus....then after another long wait to order our meal, our order taken, but still no plates, cutlery or napkins brought!

I was left to get our own plates and cutlery from s serving station, this after our food had finally arrived and was going cold on our table with nothing to eat it with or off.

The Management did apologise, and, gave us two free coffees!

I won't ever be going back to Pesto at the Peacock.

When asked if the food was okay I stated that it was all cold, the pasta was the blandest pasta I’ve ever ate and the prawns were sour. Her reply was “oh right”. Didn’t offer any sympathy or any good will gesture and just bought the bill out and charged full price. Standard example of employing too younger people with 0 customer service experience. Will never be returning again.

I booked a table for 2 last night at 8pm, we arrived 5 minutes early and we were asked to get a drink and wait at the bar. 50 minutes later we left. I'm not prepared to wait 50 minutes with no communication about wait times when I've booked a table for 8. I appreciate it was very busy but obviously trying to have 2 services didn't work.
