Went here last night with my lovely friend. We both had chicken burger it was absolutely delicious. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed

User

We had a family Christmas meal last night, a table of 8 so our food was preordered. The food did not disappoint, it was fantastic. The quality, taste, and service was just brilliant. We were very well looked after throughout our evening and would definitely recommend! We can’t wait to go back.. thank you very much to Vicki, Chloe & Georgia for looking after us all. Merry Christmas 🎄

User

Had Sunday lunch with you 22/04/18 First class food, service and good value. Top marks to Manager and his Team. We will be back! Andrew, Jake, Harriet and Luke.

User

Great meal, we all had the pies and they were amazing.

Service excellent as well.

User

Great food and drink choice all food cooked fresh and was delicious reasonable prices

User

First Sunday lunch experience and we weren’t disappointed. We called last minute and managed to get a table booked which was great, the food portions were just right and it was really fresh. The staff were so friendly and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely be going again and bringing the rest of the family. Thank you

User

Excellent food-nice to see a different selection from the standard 'pub/restaurant menus. Bavette steak was delicious. Fresh food beautifully presented, good sized portions (a little large for me) more expensive than some places but worth it for the quality. Excellent service from pleasant well mannered and cheerful staff.

User

Bold statement but I would say it is the best beer in the world .great pub lovely folk great food fantastic

User

As always excellent, food, drink, environment and staff all spot on. I had the beef and Stilton pie with chunky chips, Linda and Dan had the hot beef and cheese sandwich again with chunky chips. What's not to like.

User

6 of us went for a birthday meal tonight must say did not disappoint food was all bought out at the same time fantastic value for money will definitely be going back

User

Went for Sunday lunch yesterday, was spot on and not overly expensive.

User

My wife and my daughter had Sunday lunch, very nice place to come, the only criticism was the gravy was poured over the meat and potatoes on serving the plate to us, even though the gravy was nice, there was to much of it, would of been better in a gravy boat, so that we could serve ourselves.

User

Enjoyed Sunday lunch with family & friends.

Good food and service.

Looking forward to going back

User

Well my wife and I both had the 10oz rump steak, she ordered hers medium to well and it came out medium, I ordered mine medium and it came out medium rare, if I had been asked how my meal was I would have said something but it was not until we had almost finished that someone asked. My wife’s steak even though was undercooked she said it was very good mine was not so good it was tough and not very nice. That’s the first time they have let us down with the food, such a shame.

User

We came for our Christmas Party meal on the 6th/12/17 a party of 9 from One Stop.

We thought the meal was good, quality was good but there was not enough,we had 3 small bowls of vegetables between us all, we wasn't offered any more vegetables or gravy as some of us found it to dry, we did think it was not worth the money we paid, one of the group who had 3 courses for £24.99 went over to Tesco after to get something to eat as he was still hungry.

Also we felt there was no Christmas atmosphere at all, we asked if we could have some music on but we was told no as the other party in that night had asked for it to be turned off.

Then we was asked to leave a 11.15 as you was closing.

This is such a shame as on previous visits it was completely a different atmosphere and the meal was brilliant, that's why we returned.

On talking to all that came for the meal none of them said they would come again.

This is such a shame.

From All at One Stop.

User

Thought we would try this place out for food on Bank Holiday Monday. Hardly anybody in the place but numerous staff who seemed to twiddle their thumbs instead of doing their job. Asked for a menu, wasn't given one. Found one ourselves & waited for our order to be taken...no joy so had to ask! Food on the other hand wasn't a disappointment, hot, fresh & filling..steak & ale pie was lovely. Just a shame about the poor service/staff.

User

The meal I had was really nice, however it was just bubble n squeak with an egg, and the portion was tiny. Cound have eaten it twice over. Three if I was greedy. All being said, service was good and food was nice, but £11 for a small plate of leftover mash and veg was a but steep.

User

We have been regular customers at the Railway since Steaming took over. Had an evening meal there this week. I had the duck and my wife the sea bass. Whilst both were cooked well and tasted ok, neither was a very good sized portion - for example 4 thin slices of duck breast and one small fish fillet. Considering the near full restaurant prices, £16 for duck and £14 for sea bass, we were not impressed. Either portion sizes should increase or prices reduce. Cannot currently recommend.

User

The Railway used to be one of my favourite places to eat .. However I haven't been for a while and I'm not sure If I'll go again.

I had liver and onions which used to come with gravy and was delicious and now it comes with a very overpowering peppercorn sauce which made it hard for me to finish my meal.

One of our meals didn't come out which meant another person had to share there meal so he didn't go without eating.

The service is always amazing but the food has definitely gone down hill.
