The Ritz Cafe will be closed this weekend due to family wedding, we will reopen on Thursday the 22nd of March

so we went for dinner last night in the ritz, i was very impressed indead. The food was first class portion size was perfect for both starter and main, and I have to say the coffee is amazing, best coffee I've had in ages, better than any coffee shop.

We visited the Ritz Cafe a few weeks ago and I was overwhelmed by the kind staff who work there. It was our first time in Millport and we loved every second of it. The views, the sunshine, the shops, but most importantly the Ritz Cafe ! We had a lovey family meal followed by delicious ice cream. The burgers, and hot dog meals were lovely and all our plates were empty but a special bit of praise comes from an 11 month old who gave 2 thumbs up to the kids Mac and cheese! He ate every single inch of it with a huge smile on his face! Last but certainly not least a special shout out the the Manager Allison! Thank you for helping us get around and all your recommendations of hotels and bike shops! We're already planning our return visit but will definitely be stopping off at the Ritz Cafe first! Thanks again to you all for our lovely experience ÔŅĹ xXx

Took me back to being 6 years old..first time i ever experienced brain freeze!!..we had a lovely breakfast with all the trimings...happy place that makes me smile....

The Ritz is the best cafe on the island by a stretch. Formica tables and wall panels are complimented by the jukebox.
The food is traditional cafe comfort fare, from toasties to macaroni. The ice cream is wonderful and all at very reasonable prices.
The service is friendly and professional. All in all, if you're visiting Millport, treat yourself to The Ritz.
Such a lovely atmosphere,made to feel very welcome ,the family are lovely and cater to requests ,since moving to millport last year I use the Ritz regularly,if not for a lovely lunch then a mega breakfast and obviously the Knickerbocker glory which is mouth watering ! The staff are all engaging and very pleasant and always look forward to their food yum yum
My son and I have just had the most amazing burger meals from The Ritz Cafe at more than reasonable prices ....the homemade burgers and coleslaw are to die for Now onto dessert... Cooki n Cream ice cream! We'll definitely be making it a regular place to eat from now on ....also thank you to the friendly, helpful and chatty staff x
Lovely ice cream shop which I visited with family. We were recommended ice cream with marshmallow sauce which was ... Delicious.

Like stepping back to the sixties ( I think,I was born in the seventies ) only went in for lunch because it was next door to the bike shop.ordered beef burger and chips for me sausage beans and chips for wee one and my wife had a tuna roll.what more can I say except that there was three clean plates.Fresh ,tasty food ,served quickly in a spotless establishment by friendly staff, we will definitely be back !!

It's a traditional with our family, and my son inlaws family, going back three generations, to get marshmallow ice cream in .here, wee bitty pricey nowadays, but yummy x burgers nice too x be back in august guys when we stay for 11days for our hols

Been visiting the Ritz for over 60 yrs. What is so special is nothing changes from when I was a liitle one. Bring back such happy memories, hot peas etc. Now my children take my grandchildren I show them pictures and it hasny changed. This is somthing very special in this day and age. Long may it last. Thankyou for all the happy times.
Amazing lunch, homemade burgers were exceptional! Brilliant service from lovely staff... Went back the next day for ice cream, delicious warm donuts and ice cream drinks! My mum used to go here back in the 50s... we have always popped in. Now doing it with my own son xx

A trip to Millport is not complete without sampling the world famous Ritz's ice cream ÔŅĹ Fantastic original 50/60's decor adds to the experience. A must do for all visitors to the island.

Been coming here for 40 years still great ice cream. Was disappointed the old board with the menu was away and was told it was time to move on plus they don't sell the old walking sticks filled with rock a tradition even my children enjoy getting. A more modern ritz
Been going to the Ritz for 43yrs and it used to be the best place on the island. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was electric and a lot of times you had to wait on a seat. There were two ladies in particular who worked there for many years and they just made the place what it was.......WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!!!???? Was over on the island just a few weeks ago and was excited to get lunch in the Ritz but when we got there it was obvious it had changed hands cos the atmosphere was flatter than their pancakes, juke box wasn't on, staff just standing about talking amongst themselves and the food was total crap, my burger was still partly raw inside ÔŅĹ I will be back on the Island but I won't be back in the Ritz....So sad that's it's gone so far downhill ÔŅĹ
Always been a favourite of mine over the years. Shame its changed hands totally going down hill. Island was packed the other weekend yet they closed at 6pm and chased people out!! Some of the summer older staff could learn some manners from the younger staff. Not a great experience in there anymore. Trading hours and service needs to be looked at. :(
We went to the Ritz cafe today, we were told we could only go in if we took our pram apart. (My daughter is 5 months old & sleeping) explained that I couldn’t take our pram down, there was a booth in the corner which the pram wouldn’t have been blocking anyones path. I was again told no- to sit outside. I wanted to sit inside for the baby to be cooler. Was extremely disappointed!!
Refused to allow us to sit in for a hot chocolate at 3.30pm because they closed at 4pm....
Over priced!!! Glasgow could show you a bit of class!!!!!
