Anyone wishing to visit the Sally this week from Brampton, will need to use the Brampton to Carlisle road. We believe that the Longtown to Brampton Road is closed for resurfacing.

Well a week of relaxation and I've started back doing work. Still enjoying the holiday and the office is so much nicer over here

The Carlisle Living Awards 2018 are now open for nominations. We were delighted to get to the finals last year and we’d only been open a few months! So this year, after 19 months of hard work, renovations and £500k investment, it would be amazing if we could bring home the award for Best Country Pub 2018.

What can I say...Lovely invite, made feel very welcome, room absolutely lovely, very modern with tea/coffee milk etc at your needs. Beautiful bathroom with bath and shower toilet and extremely clean.Towels and toiletries if required. Lovely friendly management, bar with good choice of drinks. Had dinner following day( empty plates) very nice food. What more can I say except go and try yourself as I will be back at some point. Thank you..����

Went here for father in laws 60th birthday meal today. Faultless! From the cajun chicken to the fish, the food was quality. Service good. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and service. Great staff and decor very high standard. Would recommend and hope you open on boxing day

Well worth of all the positive reviews. Outstanding food. Excellent service and value. We booked a table for four at 7.30pm on Saturday night, but simply could not believe how busy the Sally was. We had a wait for our table, but that really was not a problem as the atmosphere in the lounge area was absolutely buzzing. Despite the obvious demands on the team they handled the pressure very well. The blue cheese mushrooms were amazing. The gammon steak was as good as I have ever tasted. Crispy roast duck, marinated lamb rump and the sirloin steak were also delicious. Empty plates always tell the chef that his efforts have been appreciated. Great value wine with an excellent 14% Cabernet Sauvignon at £13.95. The sticky toffee pudding and ice cream rounded off an amazing meal. Food, service and value 10/10. A great experience and one which we will repeat again soon.

We landed here late on in the evening - we were welcomed straight away and sat down in the dinning area. Beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The food was delicious, my daughter has cealiac disease but nothing was too much trouble - the staff checked all her food choices and made sure we were fully aware of what was available! All dietary requirements are catered for!!

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a classy establishment xx you pay for what you get - QUALITY

We held a hot buffet after my fathers funeral at Irthington Church, the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was first class. Everyone said my dad had a great send off.

Thank you for a gorgeous meal, we walked in and the service was second to none, very polite & attentive, and very clean in personal appearance, our food was all beautifully homemade which was fresh and hot !!! And the sticky toffee pudding was a delight !!!Thanks for bringing something better than frozen chips and luke warm food to the plate, amazing well done we will definately be back!!!!

Stayed for one night, excellent accommodation and friendly, helpful staff. Evening meal was excellent and the breakfast was outstanding and all freshly prepared. Would definitely recommend.

Booked a table tonight.Beautiful place & beautifully decorated.Staff were lovely and very attentive.Nothing was a problem.Meals were beautiful I chose gammon it was massive !!!.Others had steak & ale pie,Fish pie,Burger all of which was beautiful.Will definitely return,value for money,Lovely food and highly recommended by us all.

Had our Christmas meal there 9 of us , lovely surroundings and very helpful staff. Abit disappointed with cheesecake as it was like a baked type with no buiscuit bottom alright if you like it like that, and non of us could get our forks into the Brussels!!! Just a wee bit hard but it gave us a laugh.

Would go back as have been a couple of times before and it was perfect.

Sunday lunch wasn’t up to much. The mashed potatoes were well over boiled and not much flavour at all to the dinner and gravy. However the staff are lovely and it’s done out beautifully.
