80's Disco 12th January from 7pm in memory of our friend Paul Brook on his birthday. We started the defibrillator fund in honour of Paul when he sadly passed away thanks to you good people we now have one on our outside wall, and are nearly there for a second one for the centre of Birstall. So we ask you to come on the night to celebrate what would have been Paul's 46th birthday, help us celebrate his life and let's get that last bit of money in to help save someone else's life. Thank you Collette & Charlie x

What a fantastically welcoming pub . The landlord and landlady Charlie and Colette were so warm and engaging and couldn't be friendlier with a fantastic array of drinks and snacks a beautiful garden and the one thing that caught my eye was how super clean and well maintained it is.

Finally, Amy the bartender was just awesome.

Funny, chatty and just a wonderful smiley person who made me feel like I knew her years.

10/10 for the Scotland in my view, and I've been in pubs all over.

What a fantastic place went for a 40th birthday party tonight the staff were fantastic the land lady and landlord were so friendly I genuinely felt so welcome thank you so very much I recommend this place to anyone x

Toilets could be improved but on a day with good weather, this is perfect for families to enjoy a beer garden with play area and watch sport too.

The Scotland pub is a nice, comfortable pub with a great atmosphere, a large selection of beers that are well kept, a huge beer garden AND its dog friendly, what's not to like!!!

Just called in for a drink as it was Father's Day like the place and it was good to be sat in sun will be back

It's good to have a good old proper drinking pub back on the scene. Keep up the good work. Good to have a decent pint of whatever takes your fancy. Will deffo be making this my local again. Here's to many a good night.

I'm a local in this pub and it's a brilliant pub. Good real ales, good choice of good lagers, always clean and tidy, helpful friendly staff and love to sit in the bay window and catch up with my mates over a drink or two. Charlie and Collette have done a great job with this great pub and long may it continue please. Big Beer Garden at the back gives it another dimension. Cheers🍻X

Great beer no idiots just a nice atmosphere the sort of place you can go alone and still enjoy yourself with nice folk

Got to say we only called in for one quick drink tonight but the DJ and atmosphere was amazing so we stayed all night ! Brilliant night

Lovely family pub, play area could do to be updated- kids couldn't even get themselves onto a swing as they are too high up even for an adult

Nice pub with friendly atmosphere, huge beer garden but unfortunately this is let down by the broken and unsafe play equipment, which is why we no longer come here.

Lovely pub warm and welcoming gawjus beer garden would defo give 5 stars if it wasn't for the play equipment it's all broken and very unsafe especially for the younger ones...

Had a lovely family day in the beer garden with quite a few kids with us. It was spoilt by the landlord who was very rude and needs to learn some manners.

Went to meet brother in law at 5pm tonight for his 40th; about 20 people turned up to have a drink with him but at 7:30pm we ordered further drinks which they poured to be told kids weren't welcome, the kids are 11 & 14 so not running around they expected us to drink our drinks whilst the 'kids' sat on their own outside in the dark whilst we drank ours inside!!! There was nowhere that said that kids needed to leave by 7:30 and never mentioned before drinks order but not only that we waited for a taxi outside and the managers friend abused us outside saying we should 'make a contribution to drinks as landlord had not been there long!!!!' Really!!!???? I'm really disappointed with the Scotland especially as the last 8 years it's been really welcoming of families but the landlord felt to us really aggressive and unwelcoming! We will never recommend or go there again which is a shame as they have the potential of being a really family friendly pub �

Absolutely loved this pub when we lived in Birstall ,the beer garden is so popular especially in the summer months.. can go back as far as Tommy and Mary Morley ..they made it a very welcoming pub..all the other landlords followed suit must admit do miss it....
