Went here on 27.12.17 for my fiance & sister's birthday meal. The people that worked there were very welcoming & polite they couldn't do enough for us. The meals we all had were very nice & tasty, would definitely go again. Not to costly either.

We love the Spice lounge food is always fantastic as is the service. The food is more expensive than other restaurants because it is better than the others. It's our favourite for a reason. Quality!

Very welcoming - we hadn’t booked but, after a check of late arrivals/no shows in the register, we were quickly seated at a great table. Waiting staff were very professional yet also chatty - a good combination. Wide choice menu and food was perfect. I accidentally broke a glass and it was speedily and thoroughly resolved. Definitely a restaurant to revisit.

Really love this place, and have bored all my work colleagues so much about how great it is that we had our Christmas meal there tonight! Everyone was blown away with the quality of the food and the excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble and we all had a fabulous time! Can't wait to come back!

My wife & I stopped in Derby after a day out at Alton Towers & we were turned away from the Himalaya Gurkha as we had not booked a table,however the Spice Lounge were able to accommodate us.

We were given poppadoms to eat whilst choosing what to eat & didn't feel rushed into choosing unlike other establishments we have dined in.

We both had chicken chat starters which were absolutely delicious & our main dish promptly followed & extremely flavoursome, I had a chicken tikka mossomon & my wife had a chicken jalpati (spicey) & mushroom rice & I had a sheek kebab also. The kebabs were out of this world ...meaty tasting not greasey & had fresh green chilli in them but not overpowering. The staff were very friendly & not over bearing as I have found in other establishments & I would recommend this place to anybody!! I would definitely use this place again & go as far as to say I would go out my way to visit this place again.

Firstly, thank you for getting myself and my Husband in for a meal so close to the end of the evening. It was an impromptu meal as we hadn't intended to eat here. However, it was the best part of our evening. It was an absolutely stunning meal and well worth the price for the standard of cooking and flavours. We know of a lovely Indian restaurant in Yorkshire, of which we have never found a contender. Until today. Without a shadow of doubt, the best Indian we've ever had... we will definitely be returning!

First time for our party of 4 and I was very impressed with the service and quality of the food. The staff were efficient and pleasant. I will definitely be visiting again, many thanks.

Absolutely loved the food .. my hubby and i went at a very busy period so had to wait a bit but no problems as we had a drink whilst we waited ... they were so apologetic and they worked quick to get us seated ... the service was 5 star :)!!! Food was amazing we had a lovely evening and would recommend to everyone to dine there !! we will be back thanks :)

Nice place , friendly staff and great food

My husband booked us a table here for Valentines Night as we knew what the food was like as we had eaten here before. When he booked the table he was told we couldn’t choose off the menu as it was only valentines set menu £35pp!!That evening we didn’t see anyone else eating from the set menu especially when they came in and hadn’t booked a table. The food was ok but very expensive and personally I would have rather been able to choose off the main menu.

We have been here loads ever since it opened and rated it as one pf the best Indian restaurants in the country...until we went last night and ordered our usual meal without nuts (As my wife has a severe nut allergy) My wife had a nut reaction and had to leave quickly. In this day and age restaurants are still not careful not to cross contaminate nuts from other dishes! Very disappointed about this as you were our favourite Indian restaurant in Derby.

Spice lounge derby just had my first ever takeaway from there because of hearing people keep hyping it up they want to stop lounging around on them spices and put some in the food the food was absolute dog shit garlic and cheese naans don’t tease the fucker put some cheese in it I genuinely thought they was packaged supermarket naans the rice was ok suppose that’s not hard to get wrong chips was ok the curry was tasteless both chicken tikka madras and wife’s chicken tikka dupiaza there was an inch of watery grease before you got to the actual bland curry what a bag of wank rant over never again
