Hi everyone,
... Just wanted to update you that unfortunately the outdoor screens weŌĆÖve been using to show the World Cup matches will be making there way to other pubs in other parts of the country- we donŌĆÖt where!- for this Saturdays game.
We obviously sorry that we couldnŌĆÖt bring you the quarter finals outside but we will still show the games on our indoor screens. There will also be a BBQ in the garden so come down and enjoy the game with us. Also just to let you know that weŌĆÖve decided to operate a wristband on entry system on Saturday so we can keep track of the number of people in the pub.

have had a fantastic time here with 20+ kids for my little boys birthday and they have had a great time originally booked to use the garden but due to the weather the staff and management accommodated us indoors to eat thank you to the kitchen staff for helping to pull it all off 30 kids meals on top of the normal orders was fantastic xx

We went out to celebrate my nephews birthday at another venue only to be told that there was no gas so called the Spinney hill to see if they could fit us in at the last minute, there were 10 of us, they said they could and we arrived to find a table reserved for us that was ample for us all, the staff were very friendly and efficient. All the meals we orders were available and came out in good time, and were served to us by a very friendly waitress and a young barman along with the assistant manager, all of our meals were served hot and very tasty, we were asked if all of the meals were to our satisfaction and if we would like any more drinks with our meals, we also ordered desserts which served promptly. I will most definitely be eating here again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this venue to others. 10 out of 10 to the Spinney hill ’┐Į

Service second to none. Salad came with onion not mentioned on menu but immediately sorted. To top that bargain dinner for me.

I went to this pub yesterday with two friends it was my birthday, I had to send my meal back twice . The lady behind the bar was so helpful and understanding she went out of her way to assist me and make my birthday meal nice she even paid for my meal and I the chef prepared me a delightful dessert I would would recommend this pub the delightful service was amazing friendly I have never been treated so nicely when complaining about a meal thank you to the staff I will come again

Having a fantastic time at their fete. The staff are very polite and the breakfast was gorgeous will definitely return

As someone that often works with children and adults with special needs, I was amazed at the patience, understanding and empathy a member of your team, Helen had when serving a special needs group today, during a busy lunch time at the bar, it took nearly 10 minutes to take their food order, not only did she do it calmly and patiently, she also managed to to reassure them, it was ok to take their time and also have a nod and emphatic wink to regulars and office staff that were on a time restrained lunch break! Helen is an absolute credit to your team and the human race in general, a could all learn a lot from Helen, well done.

Absolutely love this place, come here regularly, service is great and to food is good, I consider this place to be my local pub to go to, even though itŌĆÖs the other side of town for me

I Remember going to this pub as a child with family and loved it great beer garden with bbq where we played footy it a must bar next time i am in Northampton.

Go with my friend once a month and so far they have yet to find our booking even though we have tried all ways they suggest. We've booked it online... no booking, face to face before leaving, when we actually saw the girl write it in the diary, next time we arrived.... booking disappeared and on the phone... no booking!! But in all fairness they can usually squeeze you in somewhere. Food is usually lovely when it arrives... but very long waits for mains ( 45 mins)and even 30 minutes plus for dessert!

Friendly staff , nice atmosphere. We ordered mushrooms on ciabata with blue cheese and peppercorn sauce, it was lovely. Highly recommended. Main course we ordered shoulder of lamb which was tasty but the vegetables were virtually raw . So dissapointing ! No complaints otherwise.

Went 14.10.17 told be 30 min wait which was ok 60 min later food arrived granddaughters fish was so over cooked she couldn't eat it was that over fried it was rock hard her chips cold hubby chips so over cooked there was no potato inside the chip lol i ordered mushroom pie which turned out 2 be chicken musroom pie with cold mash what shame eaten there many times b4 never bothered 2 complain 2 busy we been there long enough tbh just wanted get out there :(

Visited twice this weekend. First time no gin glasses. Today no ice and there was so much rubbish in the garden. We had one drink and left.

Went here today for a meal and a few drinks with my family. We tried to order off of the pub classic menu but was told that there was only a choice of two dishes, so instead we ordered the masala curry off of the main menu. To our disappointment we had to send it back due to it being stone cold, it was then delivered back to us. The curry had been re-heated and the rice, popadom and naan bread was still stone cold. We ended up with a refund and no dinner, very disappointed. Apologies from the bar staff but it wasn't there fault, expected an apology from management but there was none present at this time.

We've eaten in the pub many times as a family, today we went for lunch with friends and was very disappointed. One of the meals had apparently not gone through the till, so we had to wait for 20 minutes, by which point the other 7 people at the table had finished their meal. My husband asked 'the manger' how we would be compensated and he was met with rudeness and attitude. Not what you would expect from the management. All in all very disappointed, it appears that they just can't manage when busy.

Poor customer service from the bar maid.

Found something in my drink on the bar in front of me and still tried to give me it before I requested a new one.

Then put the wrong spirit in my second drink

And told me I didn't request that spirit when she double checked with me twice.

So I've ordered food for my self and friend and she failed to put my order through but charged over the odds for one meal.

So sat waiting for my food everyone's on my table comes out!

I ask where my food is to be told it's on it's way.

Wait a further 15minutes so ask again to be told they haven't got my food order I never placed one.

So request to speak to the manager to only find out that the person who messed up all orders of food and drink is a bar manager.

Questioning if they send staff on training courses?

I went with my family for my sons birthday his choice ordered food waited for nearly 40 minutes so went and asked where it was. I got told that 3 of the meals where ready but it would be another 30 minutes till the burgers would come. So I wasn't happy at all. It wasn't even busy. When the meals did arrive after another 10 minutes my mums lasagna was over cooked from microwave. My stepdad and my pie was very hard. Veg was stone cold and mash was nasty. We ate what we could. I ended up asking for birthday cake to be brought back so we could leave. Very disappointing to say the least

I often have lunch here but this time the food was not upto their best. Me and a friend ordered Yorkshire pudding steak wrap it was taste less and the gravy was also the same and lumpy, a real shame because the food is normally good ’┐Į

First visit and the beef was off, we told a waitress who insisted we were wrong, she offered to change the meat and after a long wait we walked out. Locals told us they never eat there ’┐Į

Called in here for a meal Sunday lunch time after completing the race for life, we were really hungry, meal arrived really quick, 2 Sunday roast beef and 2 chicken and sweet potatoes, meals were cold, piece of blue plastic found on one chicken meal, the other chicken meal served on a dirty plate,

Yes we did complain and the manager was very sorry and a full refund was given to us for our meals,



We did donate our refund to cancer research, and a big thank you to the kind gentleman that also donated ┬Ż10 to us.
