Went to the Telegraph today for a funeral wake. Well kept ales and the buffet was fabulous. Thankyou.

User

We booked the Telegraph inn recently for a family event and hired the function room. We were really looked after and the food and service was excellent.

User

Visited midweek having not been before. A beautiful cosy setting, open fires and friendly welcoming staff and customers. Not only was the service impeccable; everything was offered before the need to ask. The food menu was structured well, something nice for all... comfort pub grub, a selection of specials, and a main menu of seasonal favourite well selected to include something everyone will like. The food was amazing too compliments to the chef; there is even a pizza list for the younger dinners too which my son devoured. The food was delicious , the prices extremely reasonable was the bonus. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience start to finish. If you like a varied drink menu they serve Aspall cider, real ales and a variety of fine wines and spirits too. Very impressed by this hidden gem I've found, I will be returning regularly. A must visit establishment.

User

Super, delicious food and excellent service. Eating as a group of 17, it is always tricky to make sure everything is spot on but The Telegraph managed to deliver.

Would definitely return.

Fantastic NYE at The Telegraph... What a great place to see in the new year!!! Would highly recommend... Fantastic staff and made to feel very welcome!!! As for the review about being 'inconsiderate assholes'..... Well there is always one trying to put a dampener on things ... If u live near a pub what do you expect on the biggest partying night of the year...!!! Sadly you can't please everyone.. Will definitely be back!!

User

After our grandsons christening there in the summer which was a great day we said said we would come back for a evening meal and that was just as good lovely hosts cosy little bar/snug. Lovely decor

User

4 of us went for for lunch today for the first time after being recommended, we wasn't disappointed. food was well cooked and we all had generous portions. the pub itself is lovely and has a lot of character, staff were extremely welcoming. all in all an excellent time had by all. we will be going back!!

User

Had a lovely meal, food was lovely only ruined by what I assume is a regular bringing in his own stereo playing it loudly and singing at the top of his voice. So a quiet Friday night out was anything but quiet! We could hardly hear our conversations at some points. And to make matters worse he kept skipping songs halfway through!!! - disappointed really.

User

Found pub to be quite quaint, staff were nice and down to earth (friendly & polite), food was delish. No complaints and will go back again

User

Clean, comfortable inside but as it was sunny we sat outside, large umbrellas at tables if u wanted shade and an area with tables on grass too. The young lady who served us Jadie was very friendly and helpful.

User

Came to visit my daughter who is studying at the college and popped in for dinner. Very friendly staff and lovely food

User

A very tasty meal at fairly reasonable prices ... But wine is very expensive

£ 16 is a lot to pay fior a bottle of Zinfandel that only costs £5 in the shops

User

Hi I eat at the Telegraph quite regularly usually Lunch ! I took my Granddaughter for her 18Th Birthday lunch with my Daughter and My other granddaughter who is 8 ! Me and Joanna ordered our usual Ham egg chips . Jessica had a Pizza and Lilly chose pasta off the children's menu . There were other people in there and I heard one lady shout over this pie is cold so that was took away and brought back ! Anyway ours came Jessica enjoyed her pizza ! Our ham egg and chips which is usually lovely was a disappointment ham was different very thick with no taste ! It's usually beautiful! Chips well some were Green I actually took a picture of those very disappointed Poor Lilly's pasta turned out to be spaghetti thrown in a dish with a few shreds of chicken and she said the sauce was horrible Jessica tried it and she said it was horrible! I took that back and they did take it off the bill but I certainly won't be going back again in a hurry ! Such a shame it used to be so nice ! This was Saturday 3rd December 2016 !

User

Colleagues and I went today for lunch and quite frankly it was dreadful.

I was so disappointed as I had heard such great things about it, my burger was just destroyed by being under the grill for far too long so the cheese was like a massive hard lump of rock, my chips were either half cooked or way over done and my colleagues lunches were also just massively overdone, i think it was to do with the restaraunt being fully booked so they were just too busy.

Would be tempted to try again when not so busy.

User

So decided to give the village pub a second chance after the poor meal and service in the summer! Wished I hadn't such a disappointment. Sunday roast beef/pork sent back as meat tuff. Meat replaced but it remained substandard. Left without paying for one main course. Though despite this the service was good. Though an empty pub says it all...................
