We're at it again.. here's a peek at our ULTIMATE BBQ COD SUB! Cod fillet coated in BBQ rub and dipped in smoked paprika batter served on a brioche sub roll with baby gem lettuce, tomato slices and our Campfire coleslaw! Well done guys! Much improved since last bad experience a year ago when i swore id never go back! but as id heard good things i thought id give it a try again and soo glad i did great food well presented and great service loved it will definitely be going back again!

We went with a group of 18 people the staff coped superbly with a large party, the service was excellent and the food delicious. Never been before and shall be returning

We spent a wonderful evening here yesterday. The food was delicious- well presented, good range of meals and they even provided me with a whole gluten free menu for me to pick from. The service from Fallon was perfect. She was attentive and was answered all of our many questions about onion rings with humour and knowledge! Great place to spend the evening with friends - we weren't rushed and the team were happy to respond to our needs.

We will definitely be eating here again. Thank you .

We always enjoy eating at the Thorn Tree Inn as the staff are always helpful, friendly and attentive. We particularly enjoyed a meal last Friday eve, although we hadn't booked, after only a short while we were quickly shown to a table. We took advantage of the new cocktail drinks menu of which Charlotte our waitress put her previous cocktail skills into practice, which didn't fail to please as these went down a treat! Good food, good atmosphere with a friendly service..what more could we ask for

Undoubtedly my favourite place to go for food. Excellent staff who are so kind and attentive (especially Charlotte and Belinda who make me feel at home every time I arrive). The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Really good selection on the menu. Beautiful views outside and inside the decoration is gorgeous. Great for all kinds of occasions and age groups. And convenient online booking to boot!

There was a fabulous choice of food on the menu but I decided to order the beef and ale pie ,chips and onion gravy ,an excellent choice . The meat was so succulent and the pie was very tasty and light to eat ,not stodgy at all .my daughter had fish in batter ,chips,and mushy peas ,very tasty she said .We can't wait to go back for our next meal at The Thorn tree Inn x

The food was really nice proper mushy peas nice fish could of done with a few more chips .The staff were excellent could'nt do enough for you will definitley be back.

Popped in for lunch on a Tuesday and so glad we did! Service was great, kids meal is great value and quality and our meals were amazing! Will defo be back hopefully to enjoy the beautiful garden in better weather!

Me and my sister went for lunch last Wednesday, it looked like there were more people who arrived without a reservation than anticipated but under the circumstances the staff did what they could and did very well I thought, they were all very friendly and polite. The food was amazing. We both had the Cod and Squeak Cake and overall the food didn’t take long to arrive.

Will be having lunch there again! �

Booked a table for 3 of us this Thursday evening and told them we were bringing our dog too. Made to feel very welcome, and the staff brought out a water bowl for our dog without even being asked.

We all had the Scottish Haddock and agreed it was magnificent, not least because of the super tasty mushy peas.

Great food, lovely atmosphere, and anywhere that welcomes our 4 legged friend is a big plus.

Awesome food, great service, nothing too much trouble! The bucket and spades with the kids meals is a great idea they loved them!! Had a brilliant night celebrating my father in laws 70th birthday

We visited tonight with a party of 10, they asked us to pre order and we altered some dishes and even asked for items that were not on the menu which they happily accommodated for us. 9 of meal were fantastic and full of flavour only minor with them is not many chips. The 10th meal was a dirty double burger that came out pink, this was brought to the staffs attention who quickly replaced it with another burger, unfortunately the second burger was still pink so again we informed a member of staff and another dish that was not on the menu was served as a replacement . The burger was took of the bill and the guys who's meal it was was compensated and they staff could not apologise enough. Great FOH service from all the staff tonight well done and thank you. We will be back.

The service we received was absolutely excellent, the staff were really friendly and the food was absolutely brilliant. We didn’t book, as we were just passing and decided to drop in on a spur of the moment whim, we were greeted at the door with a big smile and within 20 seconds was sat at a table ordering our drinks. Our waitress, Fallon was very attentive and helpful throughout our visit. Overall our experience was fantastic. We will certainly be returning soon.

Went for a meal last night and was very disappointed !!

To start with both mine and my partners meals came to the table on cold plates so needs to say the food was not very hot , I ask the waitress to return mine and shortly after another one appeared ! On a cold plate but the food seemed hotter , then as I began to eat I realised it hadn't been cooked in the way it had described on the menu ! ! 1, my burgers had never been anywhere near a charcoal grill or my bun toasted and to cap it all the the streaky bacon that should of been chrispy was like floppy rubber .





My expectation of the charcoal grilled meal was not fulfilled .
