less than 50% of tickets for this intimate show with Will Varley remain. Described recently by Donovan as “The next generation” and counting the likes of Billy Bragg, Tim Minchin and Frank Turner amongst his fans, it seems the rambling songwriter who cut his teeth haunting the open mics of south London is finally getting the attention he deserves.

could have done with a few seats...old age n high heels not a good mix..otherwise great place...loved Jade bar staff

We had our wedding reception here (09/09/2017). Lovely staff behind the bar, the events manager Tracey was absolutely amazing also. Food was great, all my wedding guests had a fantastic evening. Would highly recommend

Twice in 6 months I've been to The Venue for two very different gigs...Craig Charles Funk and Soul night and now Skindred. It's a cracking little venue. Personally I prefer the smaller venues for gigs (still can't quite believe Skindred played here...bit of a coup) and, as someone else has said, the venue sometimes makes the gig.

Great night and will be back.

User

Saw Skindred last night. First time seeing a band at The Venue. Great place. Reasonably priced bar and some local real ales on too which was a nice surprise. Toilets were clean and well stocked (far better than rock city in Notts where u are lucky to get a toilet seat!) good sound- clear and loud but not deaf the day after!! Close to the band wherever u stand. Great night out thank you- 3 bands seen for a £20 ticket- bargain!

User

I always have a great time when I visit the venue. Whether it's gigs, (and they have some great ones!) wedding's or a birthday party.

Lovely staff, promotors, owners and reasonably priced drinks.

Ideally located in Deeby city centre next to a massive car park (that's free after 8pm)

We worthy of my 5 star review rating. Well done!

User

Great venue.... We saw The Hoosiers there last night who were brilliant. Sound levels were great and quick service at the bar. It was my 2nd visit and I'll definitely be going again

User

First visit to The Venue and it definitely won't be our last. Great venue to watch the bands and great atmosphere. Oasis v Blur well worth going to when there next on.

User

Fantastic venue. Great parking. Good selection of good priced beers. Plenty of bar staff. Clean toilets and building. Very well run. Can't fault it.

User

Fabulous show venue was perfect a great way to spend my birthday at the George Michael Tribute what a show! Brilliant

User

Fabulous entertainment venue. Great city centre location, parking and made for good entertainment. Drinks are cheap, staff friendly and helpful. Had a fabulous fundraising night out seeing "The Beyond" featuring The Mayor of Derby Cllr John Whitby. Rock fusion at its best. Wasn't disappointed. Lots of money raised for the Mayor of Derby Cllr John Whitby's chosen fundraising charities Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre, Safe and Sound, Children First, The British Red Cross and The Derby Museums Trust. Visited on the 16/02/18. Recommended.

User

Brilliant oasis/blur tribute my first visit as we live near coventry. Will deffo be going again . Great atmosphere, good drink prices and not much of a queue at bar x

User

Brilliant intimate venue been a couple of times now drinks are a bit of a rip off but you always expect to pay more at a music venue

User

Went to see yonaka the other night a great venue to see live bands friendly staff a good atmosphere cheap beer prices a fun time was had by all

User

Small venue but well run, friendly staff. Standard choice of booze at the bar. Levels last night were all wrong and too loud for the size of room but not the fault of the venue in all fairness. Will come again for the right artist

User

Saw The Quireboys last night. Great evening and venue was great with a good view of the band from the well placed stage. Drinks not overly expensive. Great parking facilities close to the venue and we ate in a restaurant just over the road before the concert . Looking forward to seeing other bands in the future

User

Had our nephews wedding reception there last night. Cracking little venue (no pun intended) for family get together. We where allowed to bring our own cooked food in and use their excellent kitchen facilities to keep it warm. Bear was favourably priced and staff where wonderful. Only reason go four and not five stars was the layout did not encourage guest integration. Maybe a slight revamp of the seating could put this right. All in all I can well recommend the Venue if looking for somewhere to celebrate family occasions.

User

Great having somewhere local that is dedicated to live music. Been to two events so far and will go to many more. I think the drinks are slightly over priced for a no frills place.

User

Friendly atmosphere , does what it says on the tin A venue for great music .

User

Bar staff are nice main room is nice but the toilets really need sorting they stink of fish because there all leaking not nice 🙁
