The White Hart Inn - Weddings & Functions Description
Sitting in the middle of stunning Derbyshire countryside, The White Hart Inn is a classic English inn given a swirl of modernity thanks to a recent renovation. Reclaimed brick and stone walls with solid oak beams mean the original character of the building has stayed intact but expect plenty of 21st century touches. Bedrooms feature stylish fabrics, with on-trend wallpapers, crisp white bed linens and chic scatter cushions. Downstairs the welcoming wood-panelled bar serves real ales, cocktails and everything in between while the restaurant dishes up homemade meals using locally-sourced ingredients.
For weddings The White Hart Inn offers something special. Our reception room has its own bar, toilets and opens out on to a private terrace area for guests. The room can seat up to 120 for wedding breakfasts and 180 for evening guests.
We can cater for any wedding whether it is a full 3 course wedding breakfast, Hog Roast or barbeque. Our service is bespoke and we promise to make every effort to ensure the most important day in your life goes perfectly and will be a memorable one for everyone.
The White Hart Inn is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and your civil marriage ceremony will be held in our specially designed function room. The room can comfortably hold up to 80 guests for your ceremony and again with our flexibility we can discuss accommodating more guests if needed.
Here at The White Hart Inn we strive to be a flexible venue and we will be pleased to work in collaboration with you as you plan your event. If you want to do things differently, please tell us, we are very happy to accommodate your unique requirements.

We had our wedding here yesterday, the venue is fantastic, the room looked gorgeous, but most of all the staff couldn't get any better, a particular thanks to Shannon & Luke who arranged everything to perfection, but also the team behind the bar, they were on the ball, no queues, just very happy & merry guests.
I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of a venue to put this at the top of your list.
We had our wedding here on 22nd April 2016 and the whole day was perfect from start to finish. Emily was our wedding planner and nothing was ever too much trouble. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and that the food was absolutely delicious. We opted for the barbecue option for our evening reception which all of our guests were impressed with. If you are considering this as your wedding venue you would not be disappointed. We had our wedding here 14.06.15 the weather wasn't brilliant but Shannon, Luke & the rest of the team did a fantastic job making everything perfect for our special day. We can't thank them enough. The service & food were excellent. The bedrooms were clean, beautifully decorated with comfy beds. We also had Chris Smith Photography & Saxy band perform which we both recommend. We got married here on Friday 21st October and we honestly couldn't be happier. Emily was a fantastic coordinator and the staff were incredible. Ensuring that our day unfolded flawlessly. Thank you all for making our special day just that!
We got married at The White Hart Inn in July last year and would highly recommend it. We wanted a relaxed and informal celebration with bespoke catering and the team at The White Hart were very accommodating. We found the bar prices, range of drinks and accommodation to be the best value in the area. We also used rooms at The Horse and Jockey for our guests, which they loved. We had two bands, external catering and entertainment, all of which the venue accepted and organised on the day. I stayed the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids in one of the bridal suites and got ready there in the morning. Lovely, comfortable and spacious room, big enough for hair, make up and photographers! The day went perfectly and the team were very attentive to our requests and timings for the day. The food in particular was fantastic, all of our guests agreed. Communication with the team was frequent and helpful and we could pop in to see them whenever we wanted to. From the moment I contacted the white hart to set the date, prices etc for our ceremony last Saturday Shannon and all the staff have been incredible and we couldn't have asked for more.
The location is stunning, the venue is beautiful, the staff are second to none and the rooms are gorgeous. A perfect perfect setting.
We are already planning a return visit just for ourselves to enjoy an evening together with a great meal and relaxation.

Me and my husband Paul would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Shannon for making sure our wedding day went all to plan and perfectly, as soon as we first met Shannon we knew instantly we was in the best possible hands, she is so friendly, thorough and professional! Thanks to Shannon there was never a concern or a worry about anything to do with our venue prior to the wedding and on the day itself, she is a true credit to The White Hart. We would like to thank Luke, Millie and all the other wonderful staff on the day of our wedding, the most friendliest, happiest staff there could be, and nothing was to much trouble, very professional. The venue is fantastic, we love it so much! Everyone did, some are already planning fo return back in the future. The whole venue and grounds are just stunning. The bedrooms are immaculate, so clean one of our guests walked into the glass!! Credit to all the housekeepers for doing an amazing job! All bedrooms are beautiful and our guests loved their stay. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Libby for all her help in making our day running smoothly, nothing was too much trouble and she dressed our room absolutely spot on.

Just want to thank Shannon and all the team for making our wedding amazing in every way possible. The room looked beautiful better than I'd ever imagined it too. Had so many comments about how lovely everything was all through the day. The food was so nice and the portion sizes massive! All my questions and emails leading up to the wedding all got answered quickly. Even after being let down by our original booking for the evening reception. Shannon recommend and gave me names of other singers and discos to help us out. Just sad it's all over now.
Had my wedding reception here in August 2014! Couldn't of asked for any better on the day!! Room was set up just like I had asked and the afternoon/evening ran really smoothly! Hog roast was amazing, would defiantly recommend!
