The perfect place to have a chilled out pre match meal.
The atmosphere is great, big screens showing the current live game. The food is lovely and the service is super quick.
Always greeted with a friendly smile. I recommend you book a table for about 1.30pm on a matchday and order a burger, they are very tasty!
Up the Rams!!
Nice feel about the place.. all the tables booked up so didn’t eat but food looked lovely. Booked up for 2 weeks time
Lovely place to go an eat in. The food is amazing and the staff can't help enough!
Had a family birthday meal there this afternoon, had a fantastic time. Staff were great, great food and was even let out to look at the stadium. Thankyou so much for an enjoyable afternoon.
Can’t say enough how lovely the staff are here and excellent quality food. It was my partners little brothers 12th birthday meal and they had decorated a booth (without us asking) with happy birthday banners and threw in a lovely birthday cake and ice cream spread with a candle! His face lit up! So kind of them. Couldn’t rate this place enough. Thanks guys!
Booked up 2 months in advance, came down from Newcastle for a few days. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were shown to our table we ordered our wine ordered our food by charming young lady. The food was excellent & service was excellent also, thoroughly enjoyed our evening and left a tip. I would recommend the Yard to friends & would come back.
Nice place to pop in for a couple. Decor really nice. My only gripe is the food smell. The 1st time we sat close to open kitchen so expected a kitchen aroma. The 2nd time we sat near the entrance and could still smell food. It's one of them places if you sat in it for an hour or so you'd come out smelling of burgers. Seems the extraction system struggles.
Modern atmosphere, really friendly and helpful staff. Pricey but worth it the food was amazing!
Went last night, Food and place lovely, food choices could be better. Also it didn't close until 10.45pm but the music was turned off at 9.45pm which made you feel like they were waiting to close. With a couple of improvements it would be great.⚽️🐑
Went Friday , had steak wrap Pepsi bag chips , chips were barely warm the steak wrap had only two pieces of meat and the wrap itself was far too big , asked for mayonnaise it came in a tiny milk urn , I think they assumed ifs be eating my chips with my fingers ! Not overly impressed it won’t be my first choice next time
Overall a lovely place, food not great value for money I had fish and chips, a bit pretentious presentation, portion small and pea purée ok but proper mushy peas much better. Room for improvement, otherwise nice vibe and staff
Like many people - great ambiance but very limited menu and quite expensive for what you do get!!
Have eaten here previously with work colleagues and was impressed, yesterday with family wasn’t quite the same. I had the Sunday lunch which although quite nice wasn’t hot and served on cold plates. Limited menu and quite inexperienced staff.
Great location and venue and looks fab inside. I went yesterday and I was surprised at the lack of dishes to choose from so I had a couple of sides. 1 of the waitresses was lovely then another who couldn't speak much English was so 'off'. She didn't smile or do anything to impress. Anything I asked for ie sauce was too much for her. She spoke so stern I felt scared of her. I asked for a jug of water and didn't get one. There menu is so limited. I will go again hoping it improves as you got a lovely bar. Staff need training up and how to talk to members of the public.
Food was ok, no drinks menus, no cocktails, starters were overdone, salad was ok, dry chicken but kids portions were great. Dont think i will revisit though.
The service needs to be a lot better, please remember customers order, sauce, side order, on the up side the place was clean very up to date,
We were really keen to eat here having popped our heads in one evening and seeing how great the decor looked and just how busy it was. What a total disappointment it turned out to be when finally we booked in for lunch on Saturday with our two friends.
I am a vegetarian so the very limited menu was such a challenge that we assumed there must be a separate vegetarian version, which of course there isn't. We were told the vegetarian options were tiny and we should add at least 2 sides, this raised an eyebrow as it is a pretty pricey menu.
When ordering, another waitress told us that they were good sized portions and not to worry!
My partner had the chicken, our friends had the pork belly and the cod. The meals arrived as did confusion over the chips...and the sweet potato fries which involved a waitress who didn't seem to have a strong grasp of the English language.
I had the chickpea fritters, which were very dry and pretty tasteless. My partner said his chicken was also over cooked and also very dry. The pork and cod went down well with our friends, well they didn't complain and ate everything.
We had to go and ask for the desert menu as we weren't being waited on. Again not inspiring so myself and my partner abstained but our friends chose the lemon posset and the apple crumble. Their critique was that the lemon posset was OK but the apple crumble was awful, and didn't get eaten.
We finished with coffee, which was very nice, and came with chocolate Minstrels-nice touch.
The staff seem to lack cohesion and leadership and we definitely only return for a beer.
It's a great looking venue, sadly it is being wasted. Extremely poor lunch time menu which is over priced and ultimately I felt embarrassed that I had chosen it for our lunch date.
Terrible meal the first time when we went with DCFC friends from Malta in May. Got a complimentary meal to try again as they apologised that half the menu wasn't available. Been back again today and it was no better. If that is what you call 'fine dining' you can stick it where the sun don't shine ! How they can charge those kind of prices and get people to pay it is beyond me. #fivepoundforaneggcustard
Not impressed. Called in at lunchtime for a quick half to see what the place was like. There were quite a few people eating and a small number having just a drink. There were lots of serving staff wandering around, but just one person behind the bar and she was making two coffees. She acknowledged us and said she would be with us as soon as she could, but the coffee seemed to be a major priority (and stumbling block). Another woman then joined her behind the bar and started making another coffee.
We got bored after waiting close to ten minutes and walked out. I would suggest that a dedicated barista should be employed alongside 'ordinary' barstaff - there were certainly enough waiting staff to use!
We went to Seven instead and got prompt, friendly and efficient service.
