The Yard Cafe will be closed this Saturday 11th August, sorry for any inconvenience! There's plenty of cake to enjoy before then though, and we'll be back open as usual on Monday 13th.

It is with mixed emotions we would like to tell all our customers that Becky and myself have sold The Stables Cafe. Our last day of opening will be Friday 4th May. Good Morning to all our customers. We are pleased to say we have reopened today after our snowy week last week. The cafe is nice and warm again with the log burner burning nicely. Hope to see you all soon.

Due to the continuing adverse weather conditions; myself and my staff (some of whom are still stuck in their villages 😕) have decided to remain closed until Monday 5th. As you can imagine being closed for several days now we have a lot of preparing and organising to do over the weekend to have a full menu and our cakes selection available on Monday. Good Morning to all our customers. Apologies but we have been unable to make our drive in to work this morning from where we live.as the snow has fallen quite bad over night and is still snowing now so the cafe will not be open today. The cosy log burner will be lit and the coffee will be flowing as soon as possible. we fell upon this place coming of the motorway to look for a place to eat .....well what a lovely delightful find we had 3 cooked breakfast and a lovely pot of tea and a coffee it was very nice and the food was good ,went on our way very happy and full ,lovely place to be if you want a nice breakfast of the beaten track ... we left with some home made scones fruit ones and some cheeses one they were lovely ,this place is well worth a visit x

Yet again a good meeting at the stables , great authentic curry , nice beer , nice people , eclectic mix of motorcycles and bikers .

The best place to come for breakfast or lunch. In the middle of the countryside. Real quality

Quaint little place, just decided spontaneously to drop in.



My fiancé took a tumble on the bench outside and the waitress came out to see if he was okay which was very sweet. Also the dog called Stanley was adorable!



Fish fingers butty and a surprisingly fruity and tasty strawberry Milkshake.



All in all, pleasant stop!

Friendly little cafe tucked away.

Well worth a visit for the fresh food and mouthwatering cakes . Soup was delicious and served with beautifully fresh bread. Quiche looked just as delicious and didn't disappoint. There was so much on the menu there would be a choice for the most discerning .

An interesting place to check out local produce too !

The Stables is a great tea room, coffee shop and café. The breakfasts, sandwiches, cake, soup and coffee are all superb. The surroundings are also 'quaint' and nice to sit out in the courtyard in warm weather

£6.25 for a cheese and ham toastie?! Tasted good but apparently it was more because of a spoonful of coleslaw and a bit of salad on the plate! It was for my 2 year old so if I'd have known how much it cost, we would have shared it as she didn't eat it all anyway. I don't think it was worth the money, personally. The staff were friendly though.

Went for lunch with a friend after seeing someone elses post on FB, a small friendly place with a good menu. As it was a lovely day we sat outside, good seating with shade. Unfortuately the approach is a little "dishevelled" and could put some people off.
