OUR STORY
How we started
I'm a full time Mum of four Children. I wanted to start my own business which could fit around my busy lifestyle and so "Through The Looking Glass Boutique" was born online. We then started a small boutique in 2014 which has now grown into a large life style shop. We sell gifts, ladies clothing, baby & todler clothes, bath bombs, candles, accessories, jewellery, wooden toys and more. Our brands include Joues, Cath Kidston, Jellycat and many more.
Our new adventure is a coffee & cake shop which is located in our Shepshed boutique which opened in June 2016. Here you can book in for a cream or afternoon tea.
At Through the looking glass we are passionate about our online shop and boutique. We hope you find something you like and share the love of our products. If you have any ideas about new products please let us know and we will endeavour to add them to our page.
We will keep you up to date with new releases and what is coming soon via email and our social media sites. Feel free to tell us what you think as we value your opinions.

We are really enjoying our new premises. Our new tea rooms feel like home from home. We have had an extremely busy day today. We love that all of our customers are enjoying the new premises as much as we are. Here are some of our lovely customers from the WI at our tea rooms today. Wonderful wonderful shop with special unique items for presents for special people in your life. Every time I am back in Shepshed I have to visit Amanda and her shop! X
Went for my first visit since moving venue and it's the most beautiful shop I've seen. It has everything ! Beautiful gifts. This shop deserves a award for all the effort gone into making it look so special. Saved me going into town petrol and parking. Just know my daughter will love her present. Thank you for all your help too xx keep up the good work xxx
This is a wonderful shop offering a wide range of products and also refreshments. I always receive a lovely warm welcome from the staff whenever I visit. If you want a beautiful gift with the wow factor or a treat for yourself then this is the place to visit in Shepshed. 5 ⭐️
The gingerbread hot chocolate was amazing! Yum! I love the staff and the items on display are gorgeous! An asset to Shepshed!

Such a lovely shop with pleasant staff, nice selection of gifts and a wonderful café that makes the whole shop smell great! I visited yesterday to purchase some Joules wellies for my girlfriend, had the ones I wanted, size I needed and staff was happy to help. would highly recommend to anybody that has never visited before. :)
Such a lovely place sells beautiful things lots of gift ideas and the decor is quirky with an Alice in wonderland theme. The best cream tea I ever had and the staff are super friendly. Worth a visit �
Lovely shop, lovely items and lovely tea! This shop is a real gem!! You can drink your tea (so many flavours and tastes so good) and shop at the same time... what more do you what?! ��
Lovely place� was given a groupon cream tea for Christmas so went along with my family. �Lovely decor, good atmosphere, lots of lovely gifts and items to look at. The food arrived quickly and was delicious and they even offer gluten free and dairy free alternatives which is so good. �The owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Would thoroughly recommend this place and will now try their other site in Loughborough �

It does it a bit of a disservice on the description as it has so much more than baby/children's clothing. It's goods are top end and quality, cards, gifts, home etc plus a lovely coffee shop with bags of choice in different teas etc. It is beautifully laid out throughout, and the Alice in wonderland style theme runs into a warren where you can sit with a drink.
I treated my little boy to a gingerbread dog and a strawberry milkshake this morning. I had a double shot cappuccino. The coffee was amazing, I loved the quaint shabby chic/ country cottage look to it and my boy persuaded me to buy him a knitted robot rattle toy that had a 'one of a kind' look to it. As it is a boutique, it is boutique prices but I like to pay a bit more for quality products and service and I certainly got that. My son loved it as well. There will be return visits. ☕
Discovered this beautiful shop in shepshed today.. it's like a treasure trove #amazing already planning another visit.
