Overuse of small screens can have a detrimental impact on your child's eye health, try to limit how long kids spend on phones and iPads.

Love this initiative from Brixworth Library - a great way of encouraging kids to get outdoors this summer which can be good for their eye health and potentially play a part in slowing the progression of short-sightedness in children.

Avocados are high in antioxidants, including lutein and zeaxanthin. These nutrients are very important for eye health and can lower the risk of macular degeneration and cataracts.

When I told Lydia it was her opticians appointment today she whooped with delight! She loves coming to have her eyes tested, and Brian was fab with her! Despite her having ants in her pants and a lip that any 15 year old would be proud of, it was a very entertaining eye examination!

Thank you for all your help, mum was diagnosed with ARMD and advised to take Macushield, got a very positive result yeasterday. :)

So I get some weird dizzy thing and my eyes go a bit nuts at 645am about 2 months back. Obviously, Brian Tompkins is online on FB messenger at that time and I quickly freak out and expect him to diagnose my terminal illness instantly.



Doesn’t work that way Timmy.



Get your health checked, get some perspective, make sure it’s not the 65,000,000 other possibilities before you focus on your eyesight (see what I did there?!).



Good news! No drama, fleeting issue, might be simply another football to the head that’s wiggled the fluids in the gray matter. Excellent.



Off to tk&s for some actual tests on my eyes! Within an hour, I’ve got intergalactic 3D images of my eyes splattered across a very cool screen like a scene from interstellar, I’ve got excellent service, a lovely coffee, nice greeting, loads of advice on 2018 fashion spectacles for a 40yr old and I’ve been spoken to like a grown up about my eyes. The most precious things I think I own.



From being a bit of a refuser to face the imperfections in my make up, I suddenly can’t wait to pick up my slick new bins and ‘grow up’.



These guys don’t just test your eyes and churn you out the door with a bill - they make you feel special. Even when it’s because you’re imperfect.

Lovely place...good advice...great choice of glasses !! Highly recommended.
