Went on a very hot busy night. Staff were lovely and friendly even though they were rushed off their feet .

They told us to expect a 45 min wait on food .. but starters came within 20 mins of ordering and mains around 20 mins after that . The sea bass and garden bowl was lovely . Would defiantly go agin ., even when they are busy the staff can still be polite and smile

Went last night for a meal with the family. The meal was lovely and the service was excellent we had a great waitress called shelley who made us feel welcome..... So 5* for service, friendly staff and atmosphere....

Visited for the first time today with a friend and my little one. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff!! Will definitely be back x

Could'nt decide where to go for a meal, then thought of course lets try Travellers Rest great choice, great place staff and the Meal was Perfect will definetely be going back again 👍

The staff were excellent. In a busy restaurant they gave just the right amount of attention and were friendly and professional throughout our meal. The surroundings and atmosphere were nice.



The food was mostly excellent too. The only problem we encountered is that the chef failed to meet the line between blanched and uncooked when it comes to vegetables. Seriously crunchy broccoli and I gave up entirely on the cauliflower cheese that we'd ordered as an extra as I had to saw through it to cut it up. The pleasure of cauliflower cheese is the texture - it needs cooking to achieve that!



We will definitely be eating there again - next time though, ordering from the main menu instead of the Sunday lunch as the rest of the food really was lovely.

Had a lovely meal with my husband and two of our grandchildren,Sam13 and Ruby 10,sam being a fussy eater couldnt see anything on the menu he liked well not everything he would eat with any dish ,we asked if they could do gammon,chips egg and beans yes they said no problem,whitch he had ,so we all had a lovely meal ,staff very effient and friendly .

Great meal last night, not been in years. Enjoyed both courses although we ordered the pate with red onion chutney to start and both thought that the 'chutney or relish' was def not red onion but tasted like small chunk Branston pickle.There was no red onion taste or indeed sliced or chunks of sweet red normally sticky onion. Felt a bit cheated like they'd run out and got the Branston out. My lasagne and hubbys slow cooked beef and pork was tasty though.

Food was good and it arrived hot, rather than the luke warm in so many places. Staff polite and friendly.
