STEVE McQUEEN GREAT ESCAPE BIKE TEMPORARILY OFF SHOW 12th - 24th JULY 2018
The original Great Escape TR6 Trophy will be temporarily removed from display at the Factory Visitor Experience between 12th and 24th July inclusive. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Instead we will be displaying a 2012 Special Edition Steve McQueen Motorcycle.
... Based on the popular Triumph Bonneville T100, this officially licensed Steve McQueenTM Edition features a host of modified parts that takes it a step beyond the usual ‘special edition’. The design was inspired by the classic Triumph Trophy TR6 that McQueen insisted on riding during the famous stunt scene in the movie The Great Escape, and features a military style Matt Khaki Green livery, stencil style Triumph decal on the tank and the actor’s signature on the side covers.

This weekend we welcomed the Derby Triumph Club and we were pleased to celebrate with octogenarian Les Hooley, who has been riding Triumph motorcycles since the age of 17, and has recently purchased a beautiful Tiger 800 XRx Low. An amazing 64 years of riding Triumph motorcycles!
Last year the Derby Triumph Club covered 2500 miles to Austria and Lake Garda and this year its members are off to France visiting the Normandy battlefields and the Somme. Les will be putting his new Triumph through its paces with the Club.
Happy and safe riding to all!

On this soggy Saturday, think of the sunny summer days to come when you can all jump on your bikes to join us here at Triumph. Come for a coffee, and soak up some rays amongst friends and a fabulous collection of motorcycles, just like these lovely bikers did last Friday!

This is definitely a first for us here at the Factory Visitor Experience! Fabulous to see your custom Triumph Bonneville T100 and sidecar with a Barber shop outfit!

Well worth the effort. Friendly knowledgeable staff, cafe was great quality and reasonably priced (for a retail outlet). The store was a little low on stock and I would advise against visiting near the summer break as the production line is gearing down. We visited on 18 July (Wednesday) and the production line was at a standstill. That said I have still given a 5 star rating because I really enjoyed the visit.

I went on the tour today @11.30am. Danny our guide was very knowledgeable and professional. I found the tour very interesting and enjoyable. There was an on site museum aswell with exhibits telling the story of the company from its beginning to the present day. With some VIP examples. A coffee shop and factory shop is also on offer.

After two failed attempts to visit that were thwarted by the Beast from the East and the Mini Beast; my wife and I finally managed to get over to the Visitor Centre over the Easter weekend. We were lucky enough to be able to tour the factory floor too; anyone considering a visit to book the tour in advance, it is well worth the effort and enhances the visit no end. The visitor centre is wonderful, and the displays of bikes worth a visit alone, seeing the Steve McQueen 'Great Escape' bike was wonderful. the staff were incredibly friendly and chatty and we enjoyed the whole day. the highlight is the factory tour, and although long is well worth the money. It is in my wife's words 'biker heaven'. I would definitely go again and highly recommend it to anyone, triumph owner, fan or not.

After a ride from little ol Hastings, with some friends and our favourite Triumph dealer, we walked around before our guided tour. Steeped in history both visually and via a presentation with headphones and a video. We then took our guided tour around the factory. The guide we had was pleasant and fun to talk to, as he had only been with triumph for 5 months, his knowledge was good. I think our whole group enjoyed the experience, opens your eyes up to what it takes to build and design your bike.
