Tummy2Mummy Description
Tummy2mummy was founded in 2009 when midwives Donna Grant and Liz Yates opened the clinic after both working in Maternity hospitals and community areas for many years.
In 2011 they took over Face2Face Baby Scans to work alongside and enhance Tummy2mummy and now offer a comprehensive Midwifery and Scanning service.
In 2013 Liz decided to reduce her working hours and Donna took sole ownership of Tummy2mummy (Liz will remain part of the Tummy2mummy team)
Also in 2013 Tummy2mummy was successful in securing the contract to provide the Antenatal /Parent craft sessions at the NHS Leicester Maternity Hospitals.
We offer A Comprehensive Scanning Service, Antenatal and postnatal appointments, A Birth Partner Service and Antenatal Parent Craft Service.
The service provided is aimed to enhance the women’s midwifery care and can work alongside the local hospital, GP and Community midwives service. Routine scans; antenatal and postnatal appointments within the NHS system will still be available to you.
All our midwives, independent or NHS based, are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, which is our governing body and are bound by The Midwives Rules and Standards, and The Code of Professional Conduct which ensures that we practice in a safe and professional manner. Midwifery is one of the most regulated professions in the UK, and this is the same whether we practice independently or within the NHS. We will remain updated with current research based practice.
Our sonographers hold qualifications in obstetric scanning, follow the British medical Ultrasound (BMUS) safety scanning guidelines and remain updated with current research based practice.
The staff that work within Tummy2mummy that are not midwives are trained in health and social care, and all staff members are CRB checked.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are insured with the Royal College of Nursing for our antenatal and postnatal services and hold Public liability insurance.
The clinic is in Hinckley a town centre location in a comfortable setting. We have wheelchair access with car parking facilities adjacent to the clinic.
Payment is by cash or cheque paid on the day of the appointment.
It is our intention to portray a homely relaxed atmosphere during your appointments, welcoming family and friends to attend with you.
Our philosophy is based on a commitment to pregnancy and birth as a normal life event; we are absolutely committed to recognising and respecting the rights and wishes of the individual woman and her family. A woman’s right of choice is at the very heart of our professional ethos.

first child, first reassurance scan yesterday. after feeling very nervous and so desperate for the toilet I couldn't hold it, the ladies were great, filled me back up with water and continued with the scan. the atmosphere was amazing, very relaxed, great to see the scan all round the room. feeling a lot more positive about the pregnancy now, thank you very much xx
Went to the Coventry branch yesterday, absolutely amazing service. Had the bonding package for the 3D/4D scan and got some great images of the baby. The rooms are also very large which is great as grandparents got to come along too.
Went for my gender scan today in the Coventry branch, absolutely amazing, lovely lady done my scan who really involved my husband and was so happy for us!! Such a lovely experience!! Thank you xxx
Well what can I say, absolutely first class service! The lady we seen was absolutely brilliant! Almost like she was our friend we have known forever! She explained everything that she was doing and every step along the way! After a bad experience with someone else(not tummy2mummy) we was a little uncertain! I would recommend this place 100% the staff are lovely and the clinic is warm and welcoming! I’m sure we will definitely be back to see yourselves again!
We had our gender scan today everyone was lovely. The baby was crossed legged and in a awkward position but the lady was so lovely and wouldn't give up until she could reveal the gender. Thank you very much for making a special time for us even more amazing. �� x
We had a basic 3D/4D package scan today with Zoe. She was amazing and made it the most special day for us as we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary � I couldn’t recommend this clinic enough, Thank you Zoe!
We came here yesterday for an early gender scan at 16.5 weeks. We took our 3 year old son along and everybody was so nice and welcoming even when he was running around playing. The sonographer took her time with the scan and explained to us what everything was. We found out we are having another little boy and we are over the moon. Thank you tummy2mummy.
Throughout my daughter's pregnancy I was very anxious and had multiple reassurance scans and the team were AMAZING always so supportive and going the extra mile to reassure me she was growing how she should. Even on my gender scan they did not give in on confirming she was a girl. My daughter is nearly 1 now but without the support of Tummy 2 Mummy I would not of managed what was a horrendous first pregnancy so thank you so much! Will 100% be coming here for any future pregnancy scans �
This place is the best place around for scans. The staff are amazing. The sonographer who completed our scan was so so lovely, and really made our experience. The rooms are spacious, clean and welcoming. And the whole atmosphere is just wonderful. I will never ever go anywhere else. Thank you for everything Tummy2Mummy!

So happy with the photos of our scan today! A lot of time was spent getting all angles of our little boy � I really didn’t expect the 3D/ HD photos to be so clear at 20 weeks but I’d definitely recommend!
I rang up yesterday looking to book a late reassurance scan, I was able to get an appointment for later that day. Everybody there was lovely, caring and very reassuring. I had my scan and felt very well looked after, it was a lovely scan, being able to see it projected into the wall was amazing, we were shown in great detail our little baby. The midwife, Donna, was also able to explain lots of things to us which gave us so much reassurance. It was a brilliant experience, thank you so much!
I had my 16 week gender scan today and wow what a amazing experience! Couldn't recommend enough.. had the loveliest lady (Donna) do the scan and was explaining everything to us and making sure we were happy and very chatty! .. deffo worth the money wouldn't go anywhere else x
Cannot recommend this place enough! The ladies cannot do enough for you, defiantly worth every penny and would recommend them a million times over! �
After having 2 miscarriages we wanted a reassurance scan just to check everything was going ok, arrived very nervous but the lady who did our scan (Zoe) was amazing. The room felt more homely than the usual hospital environment and loved seeing it on the big screen. Zoe was so kind and friendly and made me feel at ease straight away. So glad we chose tummy2mummy and can’t wait to book in for our gender scan. Thank you Tummy2Mummy x
Absolutely wonderful!
We had an early scan after complications with a previous pregnancy and the ladies couldn’t have been more considerate and just so lovely considering how anxious my husband and I were.
We then went for another scan at a different place (nearer to our home, for convenience sake) and were so disappointed with the scan itself and the staff that were there! We couldn’t stop commenting on how we wish we’d come back to tummy2mummy!
So when it came time for the 4D scan there was no other place to go! Again excellent service and even toys to keep my nieces entertained!
Excellent quality scan, excellent quality pictures and excellent service! Thank you all so much! Xx
So appalled with the experience both myself and my partner had. I paid £45 for a early reassurance scan, the lady that scanned me did a external and internal she asked me if I even got a positive pregnancy test then when I told her I did and my dates she told me I was either 2-3 weeks pregnant or I was having a miscarriage as the sack was coming away- now if she had been compassionate about this I wouldn’t be so angry but we went for another scan at the hospital which was on my stomach and not invasive and they told me I was 8 weeks pregnant and I got a lovely photo which means what she said was completely wrong. Myself and my boyfriend left the place crying and it caused so much unnecessary stress for the both of us. Absolutely shocked and discussed that someone could be this wrong about a scan and will not be returning.
Really not happy at all. A complete waste of £60. Booked a 4d scan came out with THE worst 2d photos ever. Couldn't get 4d images as not enough fluid or something... I'm sorry but if the 4d scan is unable to be carried out then the scan should be stopped and rescheduled. This is not what I paid for. I also asked her to check something for me just for reassurance as I'm a worrier and she basically refused by saying that would have been checked at 20 week scan. But my main complaint is I did not get what I went there for. Will never be returning here again for the remainder of my pregnancy or any future pregnancy. Might as well of chucked £60 down the drain.
My first appointment was wonderful with a great midwife ; but the second very disappointing with the different one!!
The midwife gave me wrong information related to my pregnancy. She scared me ; I was in the same day at hospital; where it was confirmed that he had no right.
