We'll also be at Edwalton Notcutts with Goachers and plenty other stalls. This is a new market and we look forward to seeing those of you who live in the area tomorrow. :)

I took a day off from baking and attended the "Growing & styling country flowers" course with RHS Gold medal winner Linda Clark of Spotted Dog Flower Co. held at Redhill Farm just outside Gainsborough. The course was first class and the food provided by the Farm was superb! Highly recommend both! Linda grows all her own flower and took us for a tour of her flower field. Redhill Farm have a beautiful farm shop where they sell their own delicious produce and stock some of our products too! Here's a couple of photos of the flowers I arranged and brought home for the Tearoom! Both Redhill Farm and Spotted Dog Flower Co. have websites and their own FB pages - do have a look!

The eastern sky after this evening's storm. A prelude to autumnal colours?

We have a few inches of snow in the driveway this morning, and forecast is for more snow throughout today with the mercury resting below zero. If we let you in, we can’t guarantee you leaving without getting stuck/skidding. As we don’t all have a 4x4, we’ve decided not to open today. Forecast is good for Thursday with double-digit temperature and sunshine, and we look forward to seeing you then (we’re normally closed on Mon, Tue, Wed). Meanwhile, here’s a picture of our snow inspector senior Sid the Dog. His main concern is that he is not going to be able to mark the cars discretely with all the white stuff on the ground. How very inconvenient! πŸ™„πŸ€¨πŸ˜†

Delighted to report that we'll be opening the site for 10.00 AM this morning! The thick layer of ice has thinned out but we still have snow and ice in the drive and parking area. If you decide to visit us today, please be mindful of ice on the roads and here on site. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you when the weather is a bit more pleasant.
We'll close at normal time today, and back to normal opening times from Thursday.

User

Another fresh layer of snow on top of the ice, which means we won't open the site today. There is forecast of rain for tomorrow, and we hope it's correct! Did I just wish for the rain? You know what I mean. As for us, we'll spend the day milling (if the wind picks up), bagging flour and baking, to welcome you back in hopefully tomorrow!

User

We're very sorry to remain closed today. Keeping our fingers crossed to open tomorrow.

Visited this place today with my young niece and nephew. We had a lovely toasted teacakes and hot chocolates. Beautiful... Didn't think the kids would eat all there teacake, as it was quite large. (they loved them). Great cake's too.

Lovely little place, staff & service were great.

We also had a pre-booked private tour of the windmill. The miller was great with the children and they asked if they could come again soon.

Of course! We'll be back x

Tuxford Windmill is a superb place for both adults (young and old) and children alike.

Kind friendly staff in both the tea room serving lovely food and drinks and the shop where you can buy freshly ground flour from the Windmill, just outside the door :)

Well worth a visit.

User

The best cheese scones I've had. Lovely home made cakes and nice coffee.

We went as a group of 7 and our dog and so had to stay outside but there was only one bench. There was a large grassed area but nowhere to sit definitively need more outside seating!

I'll be back for the scones though.

User

Lovely clean friendly coffee shop with exceptionally good food. We will happily go again and highly recommend it.

User

I booked a a tour around the windmill and then afternoon tea as a treat for my sisters birthday, we was greeted with a warm welcome, the tour was fun and the food was amazing, unfortunately we couldn't eat it all, so we was given the rest to bring home, all the staff was very friendly, well worth a visit, we will be back very soon.

User

Had a trip with my 6 yr old who loved it! She even got to turn the Windmill 'On & Off' πŸ˜†The staff team were all really lovely, helpful and informative! I also love the way it's still a small place.

User

Had a lovely visit yesterday afternoon. The sun was shining, the lawns were being mowed and the hosts Fari and Paul were very welcoming. Driven past on lots of occasions but this time drove inside. Really worth a visit - home made cakes made with the flour milled in the windmill and a cup of tea - just the ticket. Thank you very much πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’š

User

Fantastic place to stop for tea and cake. Friendly staff, delicious cakes and scones and a source of inindedetly milled flour. Well worth a visit and not far from A1 for a proper break.

Best Porridge ever!!.. we've been buying your porridge for the last 2 years from Porters in Newark..as we just love it... first time visiting your shop & tea rooms... so we stocked up on the oats .

Cheese scones & your homemade bread was lush! As was the pot of coffee.. . Will definitely return.

User

A great destination for a bike ride, providing plenty of excellent and fairly priced food including delicious home made bread baked on the premises from locally ground flour.

Friendly staff and a fascinating piece of our heritage.

Super!

User

Our first visit to Tuxford Windmill, which looked lovely with it's sails going round. We had cheese and thyme toasted scones topped with grilled cheese, plum and pear chutney and a side salad. It was delicious and quite filling. We didn't have any appetite left to try the cakes and was disappointed that we weren't allowed to bring any home with us - dont really understand that. Nice service in lovely surroundings and we will definitely pay another visit and maybe take the windmill tour next time.

User

I decided to pop in yesterday as I was in the area and make my first visit in 4 years to the mill. Lovely polite people and great food and drink. The only disappointment was not finding out the mill wasn't open to the public which was my main reason for visiting until I asked to go up. I'd seen no mention of this on any source of information in the lead up to my visit otherwise I may have deferred my visit. I'd suggest even as an individual that check in advance if you want to visit the actual mill. Lovely venue, lovely people and a lovely little mill, they deserve to be supported. Not sure when I'll get back as I'm done distance away but hope it continues to be supported well.
