Hello, my name is Winnie and I feel very privileged to be part of the Homebirth Team. I have been a Midwife since 1991 and over the years have never ceased to marvel at the capacity and strength of Women on their path from pregnancy, to labour and birth and as new mums. I look forwardto meeting you along with your partners and families to offer my assistance to you along your exciting and life changing journey xx

One of the many benefits of Homebirth is being able to involve siblings. Here is Freddie helping Sue to check his mummy’s blood pressure and to listen to his baby’s heart beat

May 8th is Ovarian cancer awareness Day. Most women do not know that ovarian cancer has 4 main symptoms:
Persistent stomach pain
Persistent bloating
... Difficulty eating/feeling full more quickly
Needing to wee more frequently
#Repost @ovariancanceraction (@get_repost) ・・・ May 8th is World Ovarian Cancer Day and our amazing volunteers will be handing out 33,000 white roses across the UK, with symptoms info attached. Each rose represents a British woman living with the disease and serves as a symbol of hope for a world without ovarian cancer. Visit the link in our bio to find out more about the campaign and how you can take action 💙 #WOCD

UHL home birth team are devastated to announce that our beloved friend and colleague Denise Ball passed away last month. Denise only worked in the team for a short time but prior to joining us she worked as a community midwife in the Mallory team for 9 years. Denise was a conscientious, hard working and knowledgeable midwife who was dedicated to giving women high quality care. She will be greatly missed. Denise will always be In our thoughts and our thoughts are with her friends and family.

Happy Birthday Eli!
"I just wanted to say that it has been exactly one year since Claire and Helena helped myself and Eli’s dad bring him into the world! It has gone so fast I feel like it all happened yesterday, and I would happily do it all again today! Such a wonderful experience! Here’s a one year on photo from today in the same spot he was born 🥰"
