OK, so let's kickoff by talking about IGTV....
I mentioned that Instagram were looking to launch a long form video format service on 6th June....so here's the news
I don't know too much about it yet, so sharing a post from my friends John & Shari over at Create Plan Do.
... I'm hearing rumblings about the fact you have to download another app...which may deter people...but I understand it shows up on your main page....your thoughts, comments and input much appreciated.
I certainly make no pretence at being an Insta expert. In fact, quite the opposite.
Although we use short video clips in specific ways, didn't really get in to Stories. But given longer duration and how we use long-form video, this could be more interesting.
Anyway.....chime in. What do you think?

BREAKING NEWS: and some....
Instagram is thinking about breaking in to long-form video. But it's very early days and I'm still not sure about the tie-up between regular posts & stories.
** Also, there's a bit of B.S. in this article....they're saying this could be a threat to YouTube. yeh, maybe if people just watch YouTube or Instagram for the creators channels....but if you've read my guides or other info....this is to miss the most fundamentally important point.
... YouTube remains first and foremost, a search engine. Get your videos to rank there for relevant keywords that people are actually searching for, do it right.....and your video could be showing up in the results for a very very long time.
Instagram just isn't in that game.
Remember...it's horses for courses. Use these channels properly to achieve your business goals.

WEEKLY SHOW - AAArgh...you might have seen me try and go live a couple of times for the weekly Video Marketing Clinic show.
I'm having problems when using the Facebook Creator app on my iPhone.
It should be really good....but I have found bugs and problems with it. Especially if you want to use the Live Creative feature. Phone has to be vertical to work & you cannot use flip screen. (The benefit of using Live Creative is having your branding on the live stream...but if you fl...ip...that gets inverted!)
Anyway...even with that off as I want to shoot in landscape mode...better look and also more useful if you edit videos for use elsewhere.
But mine still trying to shoot me sideways!
Going to have to play around with it and fix.
I was going to talk about Regulation & Compliance....a little off topic but with some much stuff flying around about GDPR...need to say something.
So I'm going to record a little video and upload.
That also gives me some ideas for content I need to share around live videos and what I've learnt etc ;-)

Some interesting stuff going on in video marketing land....specifically around content creation.
Basically, very good time for content creators!
On the one hand we've got Netflix talking about spending 85% of their budget (aka $$$billions) on original content.
... Amazon Prime are also being pretty aggressive, so really not sure where this will leave many of the older established TV channels.

~ I want to tell you about a new weekly livestream show that I'm kicking off called - The Video Marketing Clinic ~
Why that name?
Because not only do I want to provide some guidance and updates but you will have an opportunity to have me personally answer your video marketing questions directly!
... I'm just kicking off this show and have not said too much or promoted too heavily yet!
Got big plans....but also need to make sure it all works properly and I can build in some other features to make it fun for all of us and hugely valuable to you!
So, in today's show I be explaining a little bit more about what I'm planning and how I'd like it to work.
The Video Marketing Clinic will be a weekly livestream show on Thursday @2pm BST/1pm GMT.
I plan on running it till probably August. Then a little break and resume again...so call it Season 1 :-)
