We've really enjoyed visiting Conkers today the place is beautiful, staff are friendly and there's plenty to do. The restaurant is a little costly. Definitely would recommend as a day out for all the family. Will visit again soon hopefully

User

We've had a wonderful afternoon/evening at Conkers winter wonderland today. My 5 and 2 year old found the whole experience very magical. They loved the juggler show and the unlimited rides on the conkerchoo . Walking in the dark with all the Christmas lights and snow was really lovely to meet santa in his grotto. Santa was brilliant. We had a great time.

User

We absolutely loved our time at Conkers seeing Santa, pot painting, ride on the train, mulled wine and mince pies.....and what was even better.....The kids loved it too, they really enjoyed everything about it... we will definitely be coming back to other activities. The staff were all amazing and friendly which is definitely an added bonus in enjoying our time there xxx

User

Ok so we are just back from the family new years eve party and what can I say. It's AMAZING loved every minute we had the best company (complete strangers at the start of the night) the food was amazing the staff were amazing and the company and I mean everyone were fabulous. I can honestly say I know what I'll be doing every new years eve to come

User

Kids had a fab day. Loved the low ropes and climbing wall. My son can’t wait till he’s a little bigger to be able to do the bigger stuff. The 4d cinema was fab. Lots of things to do and plenty of refreshments stalls etc as well as the cafes, thanks

User

Just been to Billy bonkers for our daughter's 4th birthday party and it was brilliant, the staff were outstanding nothing was a problem, everything we asked for was delivered, it has been warm so juice was in constant supply, one of the children did not drink juice so plain water was supplied, the food that was served exceeded our expectations in both quality and quantity, many parents commented on the quantity of food served which was nice to hear, a massive thank you to all involved from Conkers, highly recommend for a party, our daughter has already asked if she can come back for her next birthday, you have a very happy mummy, daddy and daughter today and her friends have had a fantastic time, thanks a million xxx

User

Booked through Wowcher great value family day out loads to do without the extra high ropes etc, 4D cinema is fab plenty to do indoors and outdoors. Fave areas were the den building and barefoot walk. Would def go again.

User

We visited conkers today, we had a 6 year and 3 year old with us and they both throughly enjoyed the whole day, the barefoot walk and the train went down really well. The Play areas were well maintained and provided lots of fun, would defiantly recommend a day out here especially if you use a groupon voucher which we did which meant we had a whole day of fun for just £22. Food is quite expensive and next time we would take a picnic with us. The lovely weather also made it a great day out

User

We took a visit today to Conkers and were pleasantly surprised at all the children could do. They loved the bare foot walk, 4d cinema and train ride. All absolutely loved taking part in the drum workshop ran by Patrick from Children’s Musical Adventures. From the joining in to the chance to dance, learning about the groove and the rhythm. Such fun and definitely brought smiles to their faces.

One disappointment for my eldest was the fully booked high ropes, she was desperate to have a turn but sadly not this visit.

We would definitely return especially if workshops are being ran to keep all ages entertained.

User

Visited today to see Santa. Loved the 4d movie and at 2.50 was ok value for money. Entry to Conkers was included but a lot of exhibits not working. Over to Winter wonderland real snow always a bonus. Poor elves coping really well in the cold and today in the rain walk up to the Grotto really pretty with lots of beautiful lights. Grotto and Santa really good gift a little disappointing and tacky. Boys loved it all despite the littlest having boy FLU

User

A very high 4!! my partner & I visited a few years ago when our son was 6 months & my stepson (partners eldest son) 7 years, luckily my mum came to look after our youngest, we had a great time!!

Visited again today with our now 3 year old son & 8 month old daughter for the winter wonderland (stepsons a little old now being 10), we were a little confused thinking there were things to do before seeing santa but most of it is during the experience of your allocated time, we only arrived 45 minutes early so we did a little walk, seen some of the live show, made use of the complimentary mulled wine, mince pies &cookies in the restaurant! very nice

By that time, it was time for santa so we would do the train ride after the whole winter wonderland & elves were a little cheesey but the kids loved it. There was confusion again in the grotto - we had paid for our baby daughter so expected a gift but we didnt receive one (this was discussed previously to booking with conkers). Not wanting to make a scene or hold up other families, I said nothing, had photos with santa & left. We bought 'the sleigh with real reindeer photo' for a very reasonable £6 (they take 5-10 photos to give plenty for you to choose from). We went on the train ride after which my son loved! Before leaving, I spoke to reception regarding the grotto incident which she appologised, said they could of asked whether we had paid for them both and collected a gift for us, we were grateful!! both gifts were loved by our children

Overall- you do get plenty for your money including a live show, complimentary drinks/cookies/mince pies, train ride, balloon model with the balloon man if you have the patience to que, an interactive wonderland walk, charged photo opportunity & gift from santa (compared to some places that are increasing their prices every year but not the experience).

Thank you conkers!!

User

We visited the winter wonderland this evening with my 2 children 12 and 4. Our booking was for the last walk of the day at 7:30pm so we arrived at about 6pm and enjoyed the show at the amphitheatre and had time to ride the train however we were a little disappointed as the train ride didn't have many lights to see on the journey round the park. Also when we went to see Santa the elves were lovely and very enthusiastic however when we got to the grotto the live reindeer were no longer there and when the girls went into see Santa we were really disappointed. My youngest had waited for weeks to see Santa and wanted to tell him what she wanted for Xmas and about the fact that she had needed an operation earlier on in the year and she had been extremely brave and she was so excited to tell Santa about this but he did not have time to listen to her and just rushed her through. She also had a letter with a drawing she had done which he never looked at he just took it from her still folded. He just asked her what she wanted replied yep and then handed her a gift and rushed her out. She was hugely disappointed afterwards but the toy she received seemed to calm her but it was very disappointing after all the hype up to meeting the man himself. I went to stockwell last year and although more expensive it was much better and Santa had plenty of time to talk to the children. Not the experience I received at conkers I'm afraid. Disappointing but the woodland walk was lovely and the elves were very friendly and we did purchase a family photo at a reasonable price.

User

Very dirty toilets, vastly overpriced food. Rude attendant on the train, discovery centre dark and dingy. Overall not that impressed. Even though I booked tickets on the offer, still don't think it was particularly good value.

User

Sorry to say that we were disappointed. We have waited to come until the kids were a bit older but clearly at 6 and 4(that day) not old enough.

Very over priced entrance fee to find some activities are charged extra, or not on and for older children anyway.

No kiosks open throughout park for refreshments, no barefoot walk, no face painting. Gruffalo trail and sensory trail very disappointing.

Playgrounds very high up and not suitable for our 4 year old.

4D cinema could do with some warning as both kids were petrified and cried the whole 10 mins. ( Venus flytrap and a huge toad trying to get you along with water spraying in your face) as adults we loved this but the kids found it scary.

Not enough tables in doors for eating and drinking and very dark.

So we ate outside and tried to keep the angry geese away from the kids food.

Glad I took a packed lunch as I didn’t fancy paying £7 for nachos..

The train was great but really the only highlight for the children. Oh and the small water feature.

We just felt we could have got a similar experience at the local park for free ( minus the train)

Not enough for a full day.

We often go to Rosliston Forestry Centre which to me offers more and is free to get in! Just £3 parking for a day.

Maybe it’s better in summer when stuff is open but if this is the case the entrance fee should reflect this.

Also kids under 5 should be discounted.

User

It was ok nothing to rave about children could only do a few things due to their age, entrance cost a lot for what you get you for your money and extra costs on top and for play area. 4d cinema was good but doesn't state you get wet that we could see, it's nothing special and wouldn't rant about going again, son did enjoy the train but what 3 years olds don't, Carvery was very nice. Half the stuff doesn't work

User

I came here yesterday with my 3 year old and 6 month old. I knew that there would be things that we couldn't do due to having a pram and my little girl being so young, but I was pretty disappointed to find that the train wasn't running at all that day. That's one of the main attractions for younger children. In addition, the water feature bit wasn't working (I do appreciate that there is a heatwave at the moment and my husband pointed out that this could have been the reason for that not working).

It was quite a walk (through car parks) to the bigger play area without the train running and when we got there, everything was closed refreshments-wise. I did think that the play area was good for younger children though.

There were quite a few bits that were disappointing compared to their description. We went to the wobbly bridges which was just one bridge (the map made it look like there were a lot more) and then on to the treetop walk and viewing point (the map made it look like there was some kind of structure but there wasn't and it wasn't signposted). I also thought the indoor treetop walkway was made out to be more than it was. Quite a few bits indoors didn't work and then my little girl wasn't old enough for the indoor adventure bit.

We went to the 4D cinema which, again, isn't suitable for young children. I can see that it would be great for older kids and I would have enjoyed it if I wasn't trying to check the kids were ok.

All in all, it just seems unfair to charge so much for 3 year olds who can't do very much. Don't get me wrong, we had a lovely time and enjoyed the grounds, but there wasn't really much more than you'd get in a free country park for this age.

User

Visited the winter wonderland today with my 3 and 1 year old. Decorations were lovely. We booked the 5pm session to see santa. Finally got to see him at 6.15 too long to wait. There were the reindeer to look at and attractive lights and dancing snowmen but not enough to keep my two entertained. The weather wasn’t good either and the paths were still icy, slippy and very muddy. The grotto was lovely just way too long to wait when you have booked a slot!!! Won’t be going back next year. Did the one at chase water last year. Was much better and better gifts.

User

Very disappointed, went there 3-4 years ago and some of the inside attractions were broken, today even more stuff was not working. The food is ridiculously over priced, £6 for a frozen 10" pizza, £2 for a 500ml Fanta, £2 for a single scoop of ice-cream. That's on top of the £17 it cost for me and my son to get in, then all the interesting outdoor things to do cost extra. Time to spend some of the cash on repairing/replacing the broken/wornout/tired stuff?

User

Just visited winter wonderland. It looked the part with all the snow, but must say we have just left feeling so disappointed. VFM and experience really flat I'm afraid to say. No reindeer or Mrs clause, one of the elves singled out a boy for joining in and made fun, santa quite flat, presents not great at all for age and in quality.

User

Did the one at chase water last year. Was much better and better gifts.

Just visited winter wonderland. It looked the part with all the snow, but must say we have just left feeling so disappointed. VFM and experience really flat I'm afraid to say. No reindeer or Mrs clause, one of the elves singled out a boy for joining in and made fun, santa quite flat, presents not great at all for age and in quality.

We've really enjoyed visiting Conkers today the place is beautiful, staff are friendly and there's plenty to do. The restaurant is a little costly. Definitely would recommend as a day out for all the family. Will visit again soon hopefully

It's AMAZING loved every minute we had the best company (complete strangers at the start of the night) the food was amazing the staff were amazing and the company and I mean everyone were fabulous. I can honestly say I know what I'll be doing every new years eve to come
