We have eaten here two nights this week. Wow. I live in the south now although I am a Yorkshire girl. And we are spoilt for places to eat. The fish a chips are on a par to Rick Stein. Well done. We will be back without a doubt .

Second visit this month, couldn't fault a thing! The surroindings are warm and friendly, brilliant service, excellent food...and all for a more than reasonable price tag! Why is there not more places like this around?! The quality and presentation of the food is second to none but you are not left hungry! Very accommodating staff, relaxed casual atmosphere not over staffed and too 'try hard' like so many places now. Partner says best Black Sheep around! I could not recommend this place more highly!
Me And My Now Husband Went On Our First Date Here It was such a romantic setting and the staff were lovely.. Years down the line it is exactly the same if not better. We had a meal on friday night after both being deployed away for many months to different locations overseas. I could not have asked for a better setting.. Candles and fresh roses on the table it was lovely! The food perfect as always and the staff are soo friendly!! One of my favourite places!! �⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely welcoming owners, cosy and comfortable, fab lunch today, dog friendly - what's not to like? Will be visiting again soon xx

Had a lovely birthday tea at the Heifer with our brand new teenager Frank - thanks to Rob and his team for a smashing evening - Tess recommends the fish pie.
Excellent pub, pleasant staff especially the ‘biker’, good food and good ambience. No tech.
Delighted with the room, very comfy bed and pillows. A lovely serene ambience. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Gorgeous meal at night and woke up to a yummy breakfast with a beautiful vase of yellow roses on the table. Attention to detail was great with very clean rooms and even had hair conditioner! Can highly recommend.
Called in today on spec, very comfortable and inviting. Very friendly staff and an excellent pint of Golden Sheep. Ham hock with black pudding followed by roast beef with all the trimmings, finishing off with bread and butter pudding and a coffee. Excellent food and excellent value, we shall see you again soon, thank you.
Absolutely fabulous. Lovely atmosphere, pleanty to choose from and great value. Couldn't fault a thing.
