Patients often ask 'why am I so tired?'.
For some, there may be a medical cause. For many, it is simply overdoing it. I love this image as it shows what takes your energy and what can help refuel you.
... Worth taking a look and sharing.

Dear Patients of Wellspring Surgery St Anns.
We are short clinicians this week due to illness and unable to get last minute cover. Please continue to access the surgery appropriately. If signposted to other services like GP+ or your local pharmacist do remember they offer excellent care and can likely help you better than you expect.
Also many health issues can be managed appropriately by #selfcare.

Please remember to stay safe by avoiding the mid-day heat, drinking plenty of water throughout the day and following sick-day rules on your medications if applicable.
... Also, listen out on Capital FM this week for Dr Hussain Gandhi as he talks about this and other ways to keep safe
Please feel free to comment, share on your own page and as always #selfcare

Wellspring Surgery St Anns runs a telephone assessment service for urgent on the day appointment requests.
This morning (26.618) we had 31 patients contacting the practice for an urgent health issue wanting a GP appointment this morning.
When assessed by a GP, only 11 patients needed a GP appointment this morning.
... The rest were either seen by our excellent nurses (4 patients) or managed with appropriate interventions like a prescription or test arranged over the phone (9 patients) or #selfcare advice (2 patients).
The remaining (5 patients) did not need to be seen that day and had appropriate appointments arranged for them.
65% of the patients wanting an urgent GP appointment were offered appropriate care by NOT seeing a GP.
This means our GPs can be seeing the patients they should be seeing, and patients getting the service they need.
Please help us, and other practices by continuing to work with us to see the right person for your health needs.

How much alcohol you drink on a regular basis will affect your health.
Support is available via local teams like Framework and Last orders.
Stopping regular alcohol can improve your liver health, help you lose weight and improve most chronic health conditions.

Our thoughts and support go out to those caught up in yesterday's events.
For any residents struggling with the events of this day: consider contacting Wellness in Mind, Samaritans or the local IAPT services.

It is almost exam season.
It is important to remember that if you/ your child is absent from an exam due to ill-health then you should NOT book an appointment for a letter on this matter.
As per the attached letter from OFQUAL it is not needed. If insisted then there WILL be a charged for this as not NHS work.
