The votes are in and we are happy to announce the third winner of the year for our Big Wish, Little Wish scheme is Becky Pollard from Whitwick Day Nursery! Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries Group provide both parents and staff with the opportunity to recognise hard work within our nurseries.
Becky’s nomination by a parent have won her this award. They praised Becky’s ability to constantly go over and above and that she was a vital part of creating an easy transition for their little ...one from another nursery. The parent states that little one’s development has come along leaps and bounds with Becky as their key carer.
We are always so impressed with all the positive comments that parents and staff member have made about the nominated employees and we are proud to recognise all over their achievements. Well done to all of our Big Wish, Little Wish nominees and Becky, our winner!

All the children in the Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries Group have enjoyed celebrating one of their favourite stories for our company Book Week 2018 – The Gruffalo!
Scroll through to see what your nursery got up to! Can you see your little one?
Written by Julia Donaldson and first published in 1999, The Gruffalo tells the tale of a mouse taking a walk through a forest where he meets a fox, an owl, a snake and finally... 'Oh no! It's a Gruffalo!'
... The staff at our nurseries have amazed us with all the fun and exciting activities they had planned for the children which included the likes of mask making, natural crowns, themed sensory trays, dress up, interactive story time, life size Gruffalo making and so much more.
Some children were even lucky enough to venture into their own local ‘deep dark woods’ to collect sticks to create Gruffalo dens back at nursery! There was also lots of yummy treats shared at nursery but it seemed that Gruffalo crumble was a firm favourite!

This week is #NationalAllotmentWeek and we are very lucky to have our own #allotment just a short walk away from the #nursery. So far this year, we have successfully grown green beans, kidney beans, onions, radishes and potatoes!
The #children did a great job of #harvesting some potatoes which they brought back to nursery to be washed and then enjoyed with some delicious fish pie!

A lovely parent comment from Kathy Emery:
“I just wanted to drop a quick note to say "Thank You". All of the staff at nursery, right from when she was 9 months old just starting nursery, to 4yrs, now leaving for school, have all had a part to play in helping me raise and teach Grace so far . I will be forever thankful, as you have all helped shape her little personality and becoming a confident little girl. It has been a fabulous four years she has got to spend with you all, I know she will miss all of you, and so will I. I would appreciate it if you can let all of the staff see this, hopefully they are all as proud of her as I am”.
Thank you Kathy from everyone at #Whitwick

Class of 2018: It is that time of year again when we have had to say goodbye to our not so little pre-schoolers as they are starting big school! It is always sad for us when we have to say goodbye to our pre-schoolers as they head off to start their new journey but we are happy in knowing that they are fully prepared for the transition.
Thank you for everyone who came to our graduation evening! #whitwick

Football is definitely coming home at #WhitwickDayNursery ahead of tonight’s England game in the #WorldCup! The children in the #nursery have immersed themselves in #football themed activities and have really enjoyed practicing their gross motor skills in the #garden by kicking a ball around with their friends and having their own match. Whilst #indoors, the little ones have been looking at all the different flags that countries have and re-creating them or designing their own flags.

Our #toddlers have been learning how to take risks safely today at #WhitwickDayNursery! By using our fantastic and versatile outdoor area, the #children were able to ride the #nursery bikes up and down the ramp. This fun #activity enabled the little ones to practice their balancing and co-ordination skills! Lots of happy smiley faces in the #garden!

The #children and staff at Whitwick Day Nursery have enjoyed various regal #activities in the sunshine to celebrate the upcoming #RoyalWedding! After craft activities such as making their own crowns and colouring in wedding rings, the children hosted their own garden #party! Little ones have also made sure that they have followed the red, white and blue theme with their #sensory play. The children have all been very excited about the royal wedding and they have found #learning about weddings and royalty fascinating.

A few pictures from the allotment this week. The children have helped to put some onion and tomato plants in the ground this week and have been watching the many frogs we now have in the pond. They have also worked with Becky to plan what else they would like to plant.

We took a group of children up to our allotment for the first time today! We put the first seeds in the ground and did lots of weeding. There was already lots of herbs planted by the previous owner and little pond put in as well. We are looking forward to getting up there with the children as much as possible and will keep you updated with lots of photos.
