COVID may have temporarily suspended our renovation, but we are still feeling remarkably upbeat about our brand new WILBURY LABORATORY, our smart looking garden and our delightful new cat and dog hospital wards! 🧪 🧫 🔬
We can now run in-house blood tests for your pets meaning same day results!
Fingers crossed the rest of the renovation can be finished soon 🤞🏻 @ Wilbury Veterinary Surgery

Here’s a beautiful photo of Rosie who we had the pleasure of meeting last week - we thought she might put a smile on all your faces - as she did ours.
With our renovation still in full swing we are all getting the opportunity to have a think about what ‘Wilbury’ means to us all and we’d LOVE to hear what you, our wonderful clients, think...
If you have a moment today we’d love for you to describe the practice in three words (in the comments below) as well as posting a picture of your pets - because they always brighten up our day! ☀️

Our team have been working tirelessly helping your pets with their urgent and emergency health problems. Thank you for your patience whilst we adapt to our new way of working.
Beautiful Jolene had the silly idea to swallow a stone - but our team were on hand to remove this surgically to prevent a life-threatening obstruction. She is recovering fantastically!
We are also available for less urgent health concerns through remote consultations (Zoom or Skype) 💻

With the emerging threat and uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 we are going to aim to keep our clients and community updated as regularly as possible.
Firstly we want to reassure everyone that we plan to remain open with normal services running at all times. We are fortunate to be working in a highly clinical environment with strict hygiene standards but in addition we have increased the frequency of cleaning as per our previous post.
We are also putting into place some extra ...measures as discussed below–
We will aim to keep the running of our consulting rooms & reception area to be as smooth as possible, but we would ask that you respect the space of staff and clients alike. With this in mind if you preference is to wait in your car or outside of the surgery prior to your appointment to minimise traffic and numbers in the waiting area please just call ahead and let us know.
In order to minimise our teams handling of cash we would really appreciate if all our clients could pay by card where possible. In the case of collecting medications it may be helpful to phone & pay in advance.
If you or family members are self-isolating, it may be worth considering delaying your pets treatment by 14 days if that treatment is routine or elective. However if your pet is unwell we would ask that you get a neighbour or family member who doesn’t live with you to bring your pet in.
We will continue to evaluate the situation daily and work with our clients, patients and staff to ensure everyone is accommodated and to ensure the health of our pets is maintained.

With Coronavirus becoming a concern for many of us, the Wilbury team want to provide reassurance and advise you of the precautions we are taking to ensure the safety of our clients and team.
Firstly, we want to reassure you all as pet owners that we will remain open with business running as usual to ensure the safety of your beloved pets.
As a company that works within the medical sector we are very confident of our cleaning and hygiene standards both of our clinical areas as... well as our reception and consultation rooms. In the veterinary industry it is always important from an infectious disease point of view to wash hands thoroughly between every single patient as well as thoroughly disinfecting equipment and work-spaces between individual patients. These standards will continue to be implemented.
Alongside this we will be significantly increasing the current frequency of disinfecting door handles, our payment card machine and our reception area. Sanitisers and hand washing facilities are available to all of our clients and staff in multiple locations.
As per the recent government advice our team have been requested not to attend work if they feel unwell- or are showing possible symptom of the virus. Our advice and protocols are being reviewed & updated on a daily basis.
If you have any concerns at all please do not hesitate to chat to one of our team. We are hopefully able to provide reassurance or extra help where necessary if you are immunocompromised or have any other medical concerns

Sugar came in to see us for a dental yesterday and she had been given the most delightful care package from her young owner - she absolutely lived up to her ‘#1 Pet’ rosette and was a pleasure to treat. We wish her a speedy recovery! @ Wilbury Veterinary Surgery

BUILDING UPDATE! Transformation Tuesday - there’s a real buzz of excitement here as we begin to appreciate the progress of our fantastic team of builders! We can now see our brand new basement - this will become our separate cat and dog hospital wards as well as our in-house laboratory (including our very own blood machines). This upgrade will allow us to get same day blood results for your pets without the need for external labs.
Those eagle-eyed 🦅 amongst you may also notice the solar panels on the roof, which are able to produce over half of our overall electircity requirement. Sustainability is a large part of Wilbury’s values and we look forward to updating you more about our ongoing environmental initiatives...
