A mini maze (also with hidden pictures) is in our funyard, as well as our popular 6 minute mazes, rope maze, hoopla, bean bag throwing, photo panel, football shooting game, space hopper track, sandpit and more, so it's entertainment for all the family whatever your age.

Refreshments, ice creams and gifts are available in the FUNYARD.

The maze is redesigned each year (you can see all the different designs in the Picture Gallery), and it combines artistic talent, cutting edge technology and traditional farming techniques, and lasts only 8 weeks before it is cut down and used for cattle fodder.

Opposite the maze is the Wistow Rural Centre with a cafe /bistro, Mediterranean Deli, large garden centre, Art Gallery and numerous other shops selling jewellery, furniture, handbags, pets accessories and gifts galore. There is also an enchanting model village with trains. Toilets on site.

User

What a fantastic day we had yesterday.

We visit every year and are never disappointed

User

What a brilliant idea and was perfect day out for a drizzly day with friends and young children. We all loved it the clue hunt made it all the more fun. Highly recommended for a day out for big kids and little kids.

User

Went for the first time Sunday 22nd July 2018.

After a few years of saying we need to go, got there , what a fabulous place , and staff. Wonderful maze with loads of routs and fun first aid questions this year. Added bonus is the little shopping village across the road, had a lovely lunch there in between doing the maze.

Good for any age

User

Well worth a visit in the summer holidays!

User

We went yesterday and was our 2nd visit as went for the 1st time last yr. We just love this place not expensive to get in and so much to do you could easily spend the day there. Staff were friendly as they took a pic of me and my little one for me.

Would highly recommend this place Well done wistow maze to another fab year and a great design x

User

We went today on the opening day of the maze. It’s our first time and we all had a fab time, we even did it without cheating (my hubby says you haven’t done it if you don’t do it properly) It’s a great day out with very friendly helpful staff and the play bit at the end is great for a picnic and having fun playing some games. 10/10 from us

User

We went on Saturday 21st July, day 2 of it's opening. The children had been jumping up and down since beginning of July waiting for it to open!! It was our second visit to this fantastic family friendly fun place!! We went last year for the first time so couldn't wait to go this year. We all had a fantastic time and learnt lots on the way about first aid and what to do in certain situations as we solved the puzzles. Superbly laid out and the activity funyard is a bonus to do at the end. The lovely lady that worked there took some family photos of us at the end. Before we left the owner Diana was extremely friendly and chatty to all of us. Thank you for making us feel very welcome and giving us a fantastic day out!

User

We had a lovely day including our permanently miserable teenager. I found the website updates very useful we arrived fully equipped for the muddy maze. Very friendly helpful staff with a lovely tea room to finish the visit.

User

We came to the maze for my mums birthday yesterday. It was a fantastic afternoon in the sun suitable for all ages 😍 (18 months to 68 yr olds 😍) would definitely recommend and will be returning next year for sure 😍

User

We all loved it, kept us entertained all day. Plenty of shade in the play area for breaks. Loved all the old fashioned games. Learnt lots as we went round and visited the model village too. Played a good game of hide and seek in the walled garden. Lovely friendly people.

User

Was great to see happy Bees on the Sunflowers amongst the maize of the Maze. Loved the humorous Quiz potential answers. Pleasant afternoon wandering about. Had a wonderful time. Congratulations on a brilliant attraction

User

Was a very nice day very well organised lots of helpers and taking a 2 year old was very easy

Well done to all the staff that was working Saturday

User

Visited for the first time today and can honestly say we had an amazing time. Despite it being very busy, the staff were friendly and helpful.

I have sons aged 10 and 14 and we had a great day. We spent several hours walking around the maze, finding the clues to solve the mystery and enter the competition.

Lots of laughing and finger pointing at who was to blame when we took a wrong turn and then fun working out where we were again.

The facilities were very clean and the whole area was very well maintained. The shops were sweet boutique style places with gifts, ladies clothes and handbags. The garden centre had a beautifully well kept model village with a working train and wishing well.

For a place Ive never heard of before, I am very impressed with the whole place and we will definitely we making this an annual place to visit in the future.

User

Thoroughly recommended. Had a great day here. Definitely worth doing. We will be back.

User

Such a friendly place! The staff are super helpful, friendly and happy. Will definitely visit again. Thank you, all.

User

So much fun, the kids loved it, mum and dad loved it too. The ladies that run the maze are very friendly and helpful, can't wait to see what it is next year 😀

User

My daughter thought that the Wistow Maze would be a good place to spend my birthday with our grandson and she was right. The weather was perfect and the maze was good fun. We only had time for a cup of tea afterwards but we will be back, most definitely.

User

My boyfriend and I are both mid-twenties and visited for the first time on Friday. We thought it was great fun and loved the theme and the idea of finding clues on your way round. We'd definitely recommend this to other couples, as well as families. We can't wait to visit again and would consider bringing friends/family along.

User

Love Wistow Maze it's now an annual thing we do with our daughter.

The extra clue finding this year made things even more fun & both the kids & the adults were enjoying it.

The maze was quite high this year which made it better but being 5ft 4ins most things are taller than me. The maps they give are spot on & we managed to get 10 out of the 12 clues before it became to warm for us.

Took a picnic with us this year so we could enjoy the outside games & then treated ourselves to ice cream.

Only downside for me is the toilets are over the road & with a 3 year old who leaves everything to last minute I was terrified of being stuck in the maze when she uttered the words "I need the toilet" ( luckily she didn't but I would say go prepared)

The staff are always great & happy to help.

User

Just a lovely morning or afternoon out! Excellent for everyone 🙂 x

User

Had so much fun here. Visited over the last 3 years.

Great ice cream over in the restaurant!

User

Had a fabulous day at the maze. It has been done so well. Loved that you have a map to follow and that you have to find certain points rather than just going round aimlessly. The boys really enjoyed it. The other traditional games were also great fun. All really well done and definitely worth a visit.

User

Had a brill day out with my son & nephews today. I’ve been wanting to come for so long and it didn’t disappoint. The games and picnic area was fantastic - entertained them during the breaks. We loved the maze, the kids enjoyed trying to find the questions. We took our time with this, had plenty of breaks and didn’t follow the map to tell us where the questions were. (kids chose which way to go so we got lost a lot) so great price for the money as we were there nearly all day.

The staff were fantastic. Especially the new member of staff, a young woman (think they mentioned she’d only been there 2 days). She asked if it was ok to get them with a water pistol, so every time we got near the bridge the kids were ducking and diving out the way with big smiles!

Would definitely recommend =)Thanks for a great day & for tiring the kids out!

Remember to bring a pen, sun hat & plenty of drinks on a hot day to keep you going though :)

User

Great fun for all the family. And if you have young children there is an extra guide to help so it is not to difficult!

User

Great fun for all ages, my almost 2 year all lived all the additional activities and the woman who owns it was super helpful and welcoming!

User

Fantastic full day of fun for the kids and adults........quick learning about Map reading

User

Fab day out spent a good 4 hours there but not good if you have a pushchair

User

Excellent afternoon spent navigating this Sherlock Holmes maze, each year the theme will change and we will look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommend and the muddy puddles just add to the fun.

User

Another fantastic day out with my nieces and nephews. This is the third time we've been and love spending the day here.

User

Absolutely fantastic place! First time for us today. Perfect family day out! The maze is massive! Good value for money, plenty of parking, very well organised and run and across the road is little boutique shops and a garden centre. Seriously can't recommend this place enough! People that visit though, can you please just pick up your rubbish instead of throwing it in the maze! The people that run this have enough to do without having to walk the maze everyday to pick up your rubbish. Rant over....it's fab!

User

A wonderful day out. A well thought out maze catering for people with varying levels of adventure, providing maps for additional help and a clue trail to give additional purpose. A perfect maze to get lost in if you want a challenge or a great puzzle to conquer.

Loved it!!

User

A great place for a fun family day out.

This will be on our to do list every year

User

A great day out, took a 4 year old and an 8 year old and both enjoyed all of the activities/outdoor games available as well as the maze. Plenty to do for a whole day out! Fab!

User

A fantastic afternoons entertainment! The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be going back again.

User

1st ever visit.

Absolutely loved it.

Found out my 11year old has exceptional map reading skills, so let him take over the navigating and I just wandered around following him.

Loads of fun questions to answer, and fun facts to read along the way.

Lovely games area with picnic benches to sit and relax for a while.

Coffee shop and garden centre over the road with toilets and other little shops too.

REALLY MUST VISIT here if your reading these reviews, wondering if it's worth it or not.

It is, it's a great day out.

Looking forward to next year's design and another day of maze fun.

User

We had a lovely afternoon. A shame that some people discard empty pop and beer cans around the maze. And we were even more shocked that someone had had a picnic at their car and drove away leaving a carrier bag of rubbish on the ground in their car space.. This is not the fault of the maze owners. We do think that it is over priced and £15 for a family would encourage more people. We were 3 adults 1child over £26 😱

User

Never been before, it’s 45 minutes drive from where we live but well worth the trip! The play area was aimed at a younger age than the child I took this week but looked fun. We enjoyed lunch at the cafe and looked round the shops, garden centre and model village before heading home, will definitely come again next year

User

I wish there was a map which didn't tell you where all the boards were. It takes away the excitement of finding a board. There should be a map with and without the Xs. I used to like not having the cheat map. Wasn't as fun as before!

User

Last chance to visit this years NHS themed Maze before school starts again!!😁
