i love coming here such beautiful place to have picnics, walks quick bite to eat and drink, scenery is amazing, grounds are kept beautiful and clean, great to bring kids to the park watch the deers, highly recommend to come and visit a real gem

User

Wonderful grounds, great kids park, deer that behave themselves and magnificent architecture. I visit for all manner of reasons - from the summer fair to the science festival to a quick run around the lake with my friend. This place is well worth visiting again and again!

User

Went there yesterday for the dementia walk,as it was my first time to the park I was very impressed with hall and the park of which I will back again, the only down side to the park is the amount of money for the car park as this was a charity event u would think Nottingham county council would have waived the car park fees over 3500 people plus volunteers gave up there time to support this event to pay average of 3-5 pounds per car it don't make sense to me.

Visited here on Sunday 27/8/2017 with my daughter and her boyfriend. Beautiful surroundings. Loved all the trees and lovely to see squirrels playing happily in them. The hall was very grand and the dinosaur exhibition from China was worth a look. Absolutely loved getting close to the deer and watch their antics. Sitting by the lake was very relaxing listening to all the birds and their different noises. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and the weather was beautiful. Had packed lunch there, took lots of photos and enjoyed a 99 ice cream too. X

User

I hadn't been for a long time but took my two daughters for a picnic and to see the dinosaurs. A brilliant day all round and really enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs and so close to home too. The deer were beautiful and was nice to be able to see them up close. Next time we will be coming along with our dog so she can have a good run around. Thank you for a brilliant day out!

User

Great place for a few hours. No charge to go round the house and check out the stuffed animals. Lovely gardens to walk around too. Enjoyed with family.

User

Fantastic location, well kept and filled with natural beauty. Definitely would recommend for a day out.

Brought back wonderful memories when I use to bring my 6 children here when we lived in Nottingham. Yesterday visited with my family and 2 young grandchildren. Lovely walk around the grounds. Love the new play area and finished the afternoon with a drink and cake from the new cafe. Had a lovely afternoon, keep up the good work.

User

Always found a way to gather my thoughts amongst the trees & wildlife. A great atmosphere & inspiration of nottingham.

We visited this week and I've never been before. We paid the £5 for parking but I think for a whole day parking that's pretty reasonable and about the going rate. We took a walk around the grounds which were beautiful! We came to the Dino explorer tents which I thought were absolutely fantastic, lots of lovely FREE activities set up for the children to do (digging for fossils, stencil colouring, magnetic building things, mask making, dinosaur mini world, playdough, dinosaur poop the kids loved it) the lady supervising was really interacting with them and getting them involved too. We took another walk around, we had planned to go in the dinosaur exhibition which I did not realise you had to pay for so we gave it a miss (as a family of 6 it was a bit pricey but that's our fault for having so many children lol) instead we walked to the industrial museum which was free for all the children so only cost us £6 for the adults, they gave the kids a free treasure hunt type thing they had to follow clues and find answers to questions they really enjoyed it and then got a badge and sweets at the end, we then played on the table tennis in the courtyard (again free) then we took our picnic to sit on the grass near the park the kids played for 2 hours while we sat on our picnic blanket and supervised. Really could not complain we had a lovely family day, not bad for a total of £11!! me and my husband commented on how well kept the whole place was and it's essentially free?! Loved it and will definitely be back x

User

Had a lovely walk with the dog. Would have been 5⭐️ but parking charges - £3 for 3 hours (we were there just about an hour!) - and the fact it was cash only at pay machine, let it down sadly.

User

Gorgeous park to walk around and the children had lots of fun playing on the play area.

Would love to see some gluten free and dairy free cakes as me and my father in law missed out when everyone else was enjoying their yummy goodies from the cafe.

User

Been done up now. Loads better for kids. Nice day ot if suns about . Big improvement. Bring plenty money for the extortionate ice cream van prices!!! However inflatables and slide very reasonable :)

User

Well where do I start..... Myself, my children and my parents visited the dinosaurs today, we got to the entrance and it was £25 to get in ( my mum stayed outside with the dog ) for 2 adults and 3 kids, the kids were given a questionnaire each to fill in on the way round, when they asked for a pencil they got one between them and were told to hand it in at the end due to it being the only one left!!! Well we went round, all of 2 rooms, and the kids filled in the answers and then we were done!!!! £25 for 20mins!!!!!! Big rip off if I'm honest especially when you can visit the house for free normally. We were expecting at least some activities or someone talking about them but no, we wish we hadn't wasted that money now! Oh we took the pencil home, well I did pay £25!!

User

Visiting my brother who lives just outside Nottingham so he took us here for a day trip. £3 parking each was outrageous, I live near Croxteth Country Park in Liverpool and parking is free. £1 each would have been a fairer price. We couldn't go into the gardens as it was for fee paying dinosaur visitors only. lots of lovely walking to do but generally disappointed. Park play area good for the younger kids. No deer to be seen. Lots of deer poo though so I know they actually exist! Enjoyed the open space but the charge was enough to put me off visiting again.

User

Took my little boy aged 2 to the spooky children's tour, wasn't what i expected nor enough information as to what was going to be involved but all im saying its not suitable for young kids ie aged 2-3 possibly 4 in my opinion. My son had started crying during a part where they pretended to cut limbs off a man with fake limbs and got everyone to scream but thankfully no fake blood was used as they were graphic enough for a child. If i had known what was in store then i wouldn't of took him. A member of acting staff was kind enough to show us the way out . For kids they could of done some fun visual stuff and added some fun Halloween decorations such as glittery bats and spiders pumpkins etc rarther than the odd skeleton and ghost made of net curtains . Pleased to say i was refunded and treated my little boy to something else. I don't recommend for under 4s. It could of been done better for the kids.

User

My 5 year old daughter had the whole of the inside of her mouth scolded by a babychino served from the cafe. All the staff should be made aware of the dangers of serving scolding hot milk to children! We went back to get her an ice lolly to take the heat out of her mouth and told the server what he'd done, he didn't seem bothered in the slightest. Didn't even offer to give her the ice lolly for free. Disgusting service. I'm just glad she spat out the nuclear milk rather than swallowing it otherwise I'd probably be reviewing QMC too

Me and my family visited Wallaton Hall park yesterday and went to the dinosaur exhibition we paid £35 paid altogether to look in two rooms we was in the hall no longer than 20 minutes I think we got totally ripped of as we wasn't made aware all of the rooms was free to have a look around it was only the dinosaur exhibition that had the extra charge, even the staff on reception didn't agree with the asking price, I wouldn't recommend going to the dinosaur exhibition as it is so expensive for what it is. The whole day at the hall was extremely expensive for what we received.

Easter egg trail. miserable lady ignored my 8 year old grandchild for 10 minutes, before she even acknowledged that she was there, and then eventually served her. Just handed over Easter egg trail paper took money and didn’t say a word! Rude!... crappy trail not even anything to do with Easter and then got a deer badge at the end... not even a little egg?! Rufford much better!
