Was looked after so well by everyone from the receptionist to the guys in recovery. Mr Khairandish and his team did a fantastic job and really put me at ease. Special thanks to my nurse Katija who looked after me after my procedure.

User

Visited today as a day case in surgery , couldn’t fault anything , made me feel calm and relaxed through every step of the procedure ,

User

They have certainly upped there game here if yesterday was anything to go by .. 2015 I had major surgery here. Apart from the fantastic surgeon everything else was below par from waiting 4 hours before op just sat in a chair to being left in bloody sheets the day after without having a wash or toilet too them actually forgetting I was there !!!! Yesterday staff were very professional from getting my own room etc theatre staff very polite generally fantastic care

User

The care and attention i received were excellent. The surgeon was incredibly professional as were the theatre team. The nursing staff were truly special and looked after me well I am sure that is why my recovery is going so well. Physiotherapists got me going with care. Housekeeping and catering are great. My fresh omelette as my first meal after surgery was very nice. A big thank you to everyone.

Such a great hospital just off the A14 free parking although quite limited and free WiFi. If you have to be in hospital Woodlands is the best place to be! Mr Shukla is such a warm friendly consultant .The room was very comfortable and spotless.

The nursing staff are so friendly and the care was outstanding. Even the physio team were v knowledgeable & helpful, and put my mind at ease before the operation.

Thankyou Mr Shukla & your team!

I was at woodlands yesterday for my second operation under Mr Biswas. I try not to recommend this hospital to too many people as the service is always amazing. I arrived at 7am. Waited 5 mins and was escorted to my room. I had my own nurse. I was visited by the anaesthetist, consultant/surgeon, theatre nurse and Physio. They all and the Nurse had lots of forms and information to share. They ensured I fully understood and had time to answer any questions. I then went to surgery at 8.30am. I was back in my room by 10am. I went home at 12.30 with lots of information on my recovery, leaflets, pressure socks, appointment to return, tubygrip, pain relief and feeling very well looked after. This is my fifth surgery here and would always have this as my first choice. I am an NHS patient! All private hospitals have to have 20% of their patients through the NHS referrals. Sometimes appointments run late. This is not due to NHS patients it's just that some consultations take longer than expected.

User

I have been having treatment for 4 months had a knee operation in January went back yesterday as I was still have a lot of discomfort and pain ☹️ The waiting room was packed even in the premium lounge!.. but I was seen at my appointment time after seeing the consultant and then an X-ray I only waited 5 minutes before further consultation and then a injection to my knee ... feel like a million dollars so happy to be nearly pain free!.. thank you to the brilliant staff for a great job... I'm really looking forward now to running around with my grandson at Sunday's Easter egg hunt! 😜

User

I have been comming to the woodlands for several years under Mr Shukla for various procedures. My experience was always positive. Karen on the reception team is always kind and always remembers both my lady and I, and has always looked after my Bev as she has been made aware of her issues. I would also like to say that the nurses on the day care unit are second to none the made me feel well looked after. As to Mr Shukla his professionalism and manner are exceptional he is precise but also good humoured he greets you with an infectious smile.

I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team.

User

I had my gallbladder removed 2 weeks ago the surgeon and staff made me relaxed especially the lady in recovery . I was very nervous and was put at ease at all times. I'm recovering well and a huge thankyou to all the staff

User

I attended the Woodlands yesterday (20th March 2018) to be a day case patient. Once again I received an incredibly high standard of care. Every single member of staff helped to keep my anxiety at bay reassured me and informed me what would be happening. Any request (although I only had a couple) was attended to and never seemed an issue.

Dr Gosavi and his team on the day were incredible talked me through everything they were doing and reassured me throughout (apologies I can’t remember all the names in theatre as I was really nervous).

Some names in particular that stand out who were incredible and are a real asset to your team Karen on reception always so lovely and helpful, my two nurses I think their names were Laura & Cordelia were absolutely amazing considering Cordelia told me she was only a couple of days into her job to me it was like she had been part of your team forever she is brilliant and a true asset, they both made me feel at ease making me laugh and helping me when I needed them. The team in recovery especially Rob were fantastic.

If I could give a higher score I really would.

Thank you thank you thank you.

BLADDER PROBLEM TREATMENT

After recent treatment for Urodynamics & having a surgery to fit a TVT for Bladder issues. Great service and I would recommend this operation for ladies , I would have liked a little more aftercare information but when i called in with some queries i was answered quickly and nipped back for a check once. Ms Shulka & her team are very professional and makes you feel human and comfortable. Mine was a day case the room was lovely and staff very polite, lovely food ( nice sandwich plate), clean and well kept room . More ladies should get this op as its amazing don't put up with problems go & get them sorted. My 3 month review today was speedy but i felt a complete appointment addressing all my questions and i was fully informed also i can call in the next 6 months if any related issues arise . Thank you if i need any other treatment for other issues i would choose the Woodland Hospital again

User

Amazing hospital, easy access just of the A14 near Kettering. Parking is limited but it's free and compared to some NHS hospitals where you are charged an arm and leg for parking and have to queue to get in its great. Staff are all friendly and the private waiting room has free coffee and WIFI so if you are kept waiting you can have a drink and surf the net or write a bad review!! In the space of 14 days I have had the initial consultation and MRI, the follow up appointment and booked for surgery on day 14. I have had several spinal ops here before as well and can't fault the hospital or its staff as everyone is friendly and professional and the facilities are well maintained, clean and tidy. I am a private patient so can't comment on the NHS facilities apart from they have a separate waiting area. I have been to 4 other private hospitals and none are to the standard of the Woodlands.

User

First appt -arrived on 9 th June to be told appt cancelled but they had been unable to contact me as only had a work number ( left this place of work in 2003) Pointed out that I had attended in March as a private patient and previously as an NHS patient. Transpired I had two sets of notes.Wrote to manager expressing concerns. Phone message left on my answerphone saying he would try to contact me again but since then nothing.

Attended rescheduled appt on 16th June to see consultant who ordered blood tests and said I would probably need a referral to a different consultant. Bloods taken 18 June and since then nothing! Have tried ringing the NHS appt line but just a recorded message with no way of leaving them a voicemail. Totally frustrated with the response and as a retired nurse concerned that so little response from management regarding duplicate notes.

User

Can't fault the staff they were brilliant I'm a bit annoyed that I was to have my op at 3:30pm at 3:25 it was cancelled due to a shortage of instruments I've been waiting for this operation for nearly two years the reason I was referred to woodlands from Kettering because I've been waiting so long so as you can imagine I'm not happy

User

Turned up yesterday at 11.10 for an 11.30 appt, the main waiting room was packed with NHS referrals, I'm a private patient so I went to the private waiting room, at 12pm I was still waiting so I went to complain, at 12.10 I was collected, everyone was apologetic, but when you have a private appointment it should be on time and not in amongst nhs referrals, else what is the point of being private, there were only 4 of us in the private care waiting room as well, my consultant said that in a couple of years the woodlands would be an nhs hospital, well it feels like that now!

User

My father had an appointment for a procedure which has been cancelled once already. Today I sat for four hours waiting for him for him to come down to say one of the machines isn't working and he wouldn't be done today. The lady opposite me was waiting for her husband for the same thing and she said this is the second attempt, they had this happen before. Another patient said even the medical staff said the machine is rubbish. Why are they taking more patients if their equipment is shoddy? Very poor treatment indeed

User

I was referred here by my GP and had an appointment for a hysterectomy for 20th Nov. Since my appointment letter in September I moved house but all of my mail was redirected so come the day I left at 03:00 to drive 160 miles for my op. After waiting for an hour to get booked in I was then told because I hadn't attended a pre op for which I never received any notification of was told I could not have the op. The consultant told me that he hadn't been told that I didn't attend otherwise he would have done everything to contact me after all they did have my number. I had no option but to get my husband who had taken a weeks holiday from work to drive the 160 miles home again. I feel that this hospital didn't want to do this operation in the first place, probably they didn't like the look of my face. All this unnecessary stress and anxiety for nothing. It looks like I will have to wait another 10 years to get my hysterectomy done.

User

I choose woodlands under the NHS thinking it would be less stressful for myself and family can't fault the the treatment till it comes to waiting on a Date for the Operation/doing the op... I asked when it was ment to be completed by which has now passed and still waiting.. making it very stressful for other appointment that I need to book and constantly being told we're still waiting..

User
