The Handy Cross roundabout at Junction 4 of the M4 will be closed to all traffic this weekend. This is likely to cause traffic chaos at times so you may need to leave extra time to travel to Wycombe Air Park. See link for full details of diversions etc.

Wycombe Air Park is open for rotary traffic only today. All runways are closed due to snow/ice. With forecast plus temperatures tonight we are hopeful of fully reopening tomorrow.

Today we celebrated our Aerodrome Manager Mandy Sarney’s amazing achievement of 40 years service. Well done Mandy, here’s to many more!!

After Fire 2 returned to service last week we were able to retain Cat 1 RFFS cover this weekend whilst running a training course to bring 5 new locally trained firefighters onto the team! Well done to them all for passing their initial training! With a mixture of full and part time, this will also mean that we should have sufficient trained team members going forward.

OK, so the café is lousy but the loathsome Pad has closed now and the airfield is rumoured to soon be opening a new café..!



With that out of the way, this is otherwise one of the best airfields in the London area in my view - a great place to train in a complex ATC controlled environment and also a great place to base your aircraft.



Best of all, the staff at Booker Aviation are super friendly and extremely helpful - above & beyond in my experience ..!!



If visiting London by air, there are nearby fast train links into Marylebone. A great airfield !!

I've only visited this place twice, but on both occasions I've been able to park a 42 foot coach and be greeted by really friendly and courteous staff in all of the businesses present on the field. Of course my reason for being there is Booker Aviation so my experience is central to them. With so many happy people in the reception area, it's hard not to smile and feel welcome. I have been granted access to their lounge to study my ATPL's when I'm in the area, the motivation this creates is immeasurable in terms of the psychological gains in studying. There is tea and coffee available and a vast number of instructors, students and staff on hand to answer questions and assist those stuck on a subject. I'm so glad to decided to pop in and see what the place was all about as it's a great place to fly and learn.

During our visit with The Elite London Event the Air Park easy to locate via the road. Staff very friendly informative and helpful the cafe great value with views over the airfield . Atmosphere to match so will be returning �
