Founded in 1938, WPS is a group of enthusiasts, from beginners to experts, young and older, male and female, whose common interest is photography.

Wycombe Photographic Society Description

The club meets on the 1st, 3rd, and when it occurs, 5th Thursday of each month from September to June. The Club activities include: Internal and external competition. Talks given by visiting speakers. Outings to local and further afield places of photographic interest. Our Annual Exhibition is held during the Wycombe Arts Festival. There are in house tutorials on Image Capture, presentation and Photoshop together with several social events during the year. The Print and Projected Image evenings are friendly affairs, & are judged at two levels, novice /intermediate and advanced. The critique from the judges, which is constructive, contains useful & informative advice not only for the competitor but also for all club members. Digital Workshop meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month. The membership is open to all ages and abilities. The Club is active within the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs, and through this Association is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. The Club is also a member of the Federation of North West London Photographic Societies.
