Yesterday we enjoyed a Santa ride. What an absolutely fabulous experience. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. Santa was of course fabulous and great presents too. Amazing value for money. I will revisit again and again. Thank you everyone and Merry Christmas.

Went for my mates Silver driver experience day

Everyone made us all welcome and went out of there

Way to make the experience even more special

Food was excellent and plenty of tea and coffee.

Overall I'd say if you can afford it well worth money.

Mechanics , drivers and all staff thank you

We had a fantastic Christmas experience both children and adults realy enjoyed it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was our first time but we will be visiting again in the summer.

We come here a couple of times a year, and yesterday was the classic transport weekend trip with our 43 year old MG. One free rail rover ticket and a discounted one for my passenger makes it a worthwhile trip. It's a lovely ride up to Duffied and the borrowed Jinty in steam was a bonus rather than the more usual DMU. After a walk into Wirksworth for lunch at Le Mistral we took the last trip up to Ravenstor in the guard's van. Chatted to other car owners and then drove home after a great day out.

User

Very enjoyable and relaxing couple of hours riding the old diesel multiple units. This was real nostalgia and it was great to be without steam at a heritage railway. Moreover it was another to see the painstaking work undertaken by DMU enthusiasts in their restoration of such vehicles.it was well worth the trip and good value for money.

Just got back from a fabulous day having been taken back in time to my childhood riding in the carriages for 6 people, I didn't know this was only 35minutes from where we live and will be back for the 50s weekend and the afternoon tea. Keep up the good work excellent service and friendly staff.

User

I cannot praise the staff enough for all their help with our recent Murder Mystery Land Cruise on 24th June 2015. The evening was a huge success and on behalf of all of us at Broken Pipe Productions we'd like to extend a big 'thank you!' to everyone who made the evening possible and all the wonderful guests as well. We hope to work with you again in the future.

Had an amazing weekend at the 2018 Spring (ish) Diesel Gala featuring D832, a really lovely railway, with passionate people running it. Just needed a heat supply for the Mk1 coaching stock particularly this past weekend.

I am looking forward to returning hopefully in August for when we let Her Blueness out to play (D7076). Bring it on.

User

Had a lovely day out with my Dad and little girl yesterday. All staff at the railway were polite, helpful and accommodating... especially when my little girl needed a tinkle 5 mins before the train set off! Would definitely come back and recommend to all ages.

User

Great day out. For kids and Adults. Food great and staff very helpful and friendly.

User

Fantastic loved it, staff friendly and I admire their dedication as it’s all volunteers that keep it going, check it out as you can drive a engine it has party nights and you can even get married and an opportunity to renew your vows

User

Excellent throughout. We had an absolutely awesome day out. The kids loved the diesel train and even my wife loved it. Will be back in the summer hopefully and get on the steam train this time. Well done ecclesbourne valley railway

User

As someone who went to boarding school right next to this line, I can easily say this is well worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyed travelling by steam train to Wirksworth though splendid countryside & loved having tea in the Pullman Buffet. I recommend visiting this railway to people who live nearby it.

User

An enchanting line running through beautiful countryside with extremely friendly and approachable members of staff. We really enjoyed our trip on the DMU and will definitely be back as soon as we can.

User

A very pleasant trip along the line from Duffield to Wirksworth, my first trip along the full length of track since the line was completed. Enjoyed the journey behind visiting loco D832 Onslaught which is what really brought me out of my self-induced railway hibernation. I took my wife and two children along for the trip, all enjoying travelling in mk1 compartment stock which seemed like yesterday when I was regularly travelling the length and breadth of the country in them. The railway is a great testament to the volunteers who run it and I’ll be more than happy to return with my support soon.

User

A very good day out.the staff are friendly and helpful.a must for the family.

User

A few of us travelled over to Ecclesbourne for the trains this afternoon. A steam train up the incline and back, then a pleasant return trip to Duffield. The first ever train trip for the youngster in the group, who loved it. Add to the mixture that apparently we won a football match somewhere, plus very friendly staff made this an unbeatable trip. Thanks!
