Have you visited our newly refurbished pub yet?

What a great place. Catering for many whilst retaining its ancient interior. Very friendly with attentive staff, a great range of well kept ales and some very good food served promptly. Good prices too, with a lovely outside courtyard as well as the ambient inside rooms. Only wish more pubs existed like this. Some of the newer establishments could learn a lot!

User

We stopped for a meal yesterday lunch, and had a delicious burger and chips. Lydia who was on duty, was really helpful and also explained some of the historic points to us.

This is the third time we have been here, and we had food also this time. The atmosphere and place is fantastic and the customers, very diverse!! The food was lovely too - will definately recommend this pub to anyone visiting Nottingham - keep up the good work guys and we shall be back again soon xx

User

There was a bit of a mix up in our order, meaning we waited longer than expected for one of the kids meals (it arrived after we had all finished eating). They offered a 30% discount without us even asking or complaining. Great customer service!! Food was also pretty good and atmosphere/setting great. Thank you

User

Loved this. I was advised to check it out when coming from Australia. Defintely worth doing. The age of the Pub is impressive enough.

User

It's a must to have a drink and a meal when visiting Nottingham

User

Great old pub in caves under the castle.

Good choice of beers and a range of food choices too.

Large outdoor seating area for sunny days.

Quirky object d’art in the various rooms - suits of armour, etc.

User

Feels like being in the Prancing Pony (fewer dwarves though). Fab craft beers and ciders on tap, and the outside seating under the sycamores on a summer's night is hard to beat.

User

Fabulous building, great atmosphere, lovely food and delicious rhubarb and ginger gin with ginger ale. I had vegetarian Thai red curry and Lee had the burger 🍔- both were delicious.

User

Excellent pub, great atmosphere and a great range of ales. Staff were top notch too.

User

Dropped in there on Saturday evening with a group of 7 other lads. The staff were fantastic and the food was lovely. I would certainly use the pub again.

Cool place on trip to Nottingham castle nice beer and surroundings

User

Been to the Trip numerous times over the past couple of years or so. Absolutely love the place. Went in yesterday with my wife and Aunty and Uncle who were visiting from America. Karl had arranged for a cellar tour(well worth it) which Heather did with us. She knew everything about the history of the place. We all very much enjoyed it and will hopefully do it again soon. Food and beer is always great and so are the staff. Easily 1 of my favourite pubs

User

Awesome place build within a system of caves - went in there for lunch after the castle tour and had the fish & chips- I came back later to have a couple of drink and plenty of locals were there- met a local historian who shared many stories with me. The bar owner was pretty cool. I told him I was on a Historical Pub Crawl to the 5 oldest Pubs in the World am his was first on my list.

User

Always enjoy a visit to "the trip" had a lovely lunch today, I had the burnt ends beef sandwich with wet fries, topped with cheese and more cheese, everything was delicious the kids fish and chips was great and Danny the server was fab! A definite must if your visiting nottingham or just having a town day!

User

The pub is amazing and well worth a visit. Sadly the same cannot be said for the food, small portions, and disappointing, so much so a visit to McDonalds on the way home. Saying that will go back for a pint and great atmosphere .... but will be sure to eat before hand.

User

So this was 1 of many pitstops for my friend & I on an all day session around Nottingham, love this old, quirky place, and even more so being able to try a Blueberry gin was lovely 😍❤️👍🏻

User

Lovely old pub with lots of character. Lady behind the bar was a bit abrupt and then I had to return to the bar 15min later to find out where my coffee was!

User

Lovely place great atmosphere only problem was drinks were so expensive paid £5 more than in the last pub we went to
