Yellow are keen to talk to experienced Heritage Railway Engineers who would be interested in short packages of work across the UK.
We are in early discussions with a number of historic and heritage rail projects regarding upcoming maintenance and repair programs following the Summer's heightened activity. We would be pleased to hear from engineers who are keen to expand their knowledge and experience by visiting different museums and depots for periods of 1-2 weeks.
The roles... are mostly voluntary, however accommodation, expenses, and in some cases an hourly or daily wage may be available.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
To support the Engineering function with respect to Yellow Rail’s engineering activities in accordance with customer and industry requirements and Yellow Rail procedures
Act as the primary day to day engineering interface contact for clients, engineering companies and suppliers in relation to all Yellow Rail activities
Provide engineering support to each operational deployment to ensure engineering standards are adhered to and maintained throughout project delivery in accordance with Yellow Rail’s procedures and standards, including: integration, test, safety, risk identification, site engineering practices, non-conformance identification, engineering change, undertaking in-process checks, competency assessments and unannounced site visits.
