We spoke with Phil about 6 months ago to discuss catering our wedding. He instantly got the style of food we wanted and was quick to suggest a menu for us. We were happy to leave it in his hands, he also went as far as helping arrange every aspect to do with the catering ie table cloths, crockery, glass hire and our staff for the day. The food went down a hit, canapés for starters which came straight to me (the bride) to make sure I got some which was a great touch as all I hear from people is you never eat, the main meal was a beautiful selection of food including beef brisket, brioche buns, quinoa, stuffed pepper followed by a selection of deserts. Needless to say there were no leftovers and out guests loved it! We also had a huge cheeseboard with chutneys and crackers that the guests devoured.





Phil also managed all the serving and stayed till late in the evening, I even noticed a guest smash a glass on the dance floor and before I knew it he was tidying the glass away before anyone could do anything.



The staff kept on through the night constantly cleaning the glasses, always friendly and extremely efficient. They were all a great team and and we were overwhelmed by what a great job they did for us.



Thanks to all you guys that made it such a special day your friendly staff and delicious food were a hit! Love Dominique and Laurie.

Visited Ingatestone yesterday and had a delicious lunch in Abigail's Deli, the scotch eggs are divine and I really wanted to take home some of the homemade coleslaw - best I've tasted!! But I'll be trying the club sandwich next time for sure....

Also managed to get my Mum a birthday present & a Father's Day card from the cute Abigail's Lifestyle shop across the road - the lady even kindly gift wrapped it for me while I waited!!

The perfect shop to pop into for last minute gifts, treats to yourself or just for a good natter! I've enjoyed every second working here over the past year and a half and would never leave, but university calls! A lovely friendly atmosphere, I'm going to miss having Abigail's near both for their convenience and the unique - and often yummy - products (although I'm not sure my bank balance will miss it!). Both the Deli and Lifestyle shops are worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood!

Lovely menu, beautifully presented. Friendly staff, lots of lovely food to eat in or take away. Really different and beautiful kitchen plates, bowls etc. Well worth a visit and stay for lunch or coffee while you browse the goods and food stuffs for sale.

Lovely friendly people in both shops! Great for gifts candles and a nice spot of lunch!

It's the most beautiful shop with a wonderful selection of gift ideas. A must place to visit xx

Have been ordering our Christmas cheese from here for the last 3 years but moved to Ingatestone in February this year, so often pop in to the deli for breakfast or lunch. A wonderful place, great ambience, food and very welcoming.

Abigails Lifestyle is wonderful for gifts and once again a very welcoming smile as you walk through the door.

The homemade pies are excellent to take home for our evening meal too.

Good quality, fresh Deli food, supplemented by some standard, some local, some very unusual additions. Small cafe area. Friendly if busy at weekends. Sure sign of quality. Hard to beat. The Scotch Eggs and sausage rolls are just an evil temptation.

First time to the shop this evening, what a lovely place, so many nice things & the sausage rolls were a real treat :-)

Abigail’s very recently provided catering services for my daughter’s wedding at Hutton Hall, Brentwood. We chose Abigail’s above other caterers because having discussed our requirements with the owner, Phil, we felt we would get a more personalised service, and this proved exactly the case. The canapés served as a wonderful appetiser to the main event, the Wedding Breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. The evening food was also amazing, nobody went home hungry!All our guests were so complimentary of the high standard of food that was served, and the efficient and polite service from the waitresses. We are absolutely thrilled with Abigail’s.

Abigail's catered for our open house at Mimosa Beauty in Chelmsford and the food was absolutely divine. Service with Phil in the lead up to our event was great and Laura on the evening was calm and helpful throughout. Thank you!

lovely little tea room but much smaller than we expected. food was delicious and selection of goodies on offer were eye-wateringly good. will return again! thank you x

Lovely menu, beautifully presented. Friendly staff, lots of lovely food to eat in or take away. Really different and beautiful kitchen plates, bowls etc. Well worth a visit and stay for lunch or coffee while you browse the goods and food stuffs for sale.

Have been ordering our Christmas cheese from here for the last 3 years but moved to Ingatestone in February this year, so often pop in to the deli for breakfast or lunch. A wonderful place, great ambience, food and very welcoming.

Abigails Lifestyle is wonderful for gifts and once again a very welcoming smile as you walk through the door.

The homemade pies are excellent to take home for our evening meal too.

Good quality, fresh Deli food, supplemented by some standard, some local, some very unusual additions. Small cafe area. Friendly if busy at weekends. Sure sign of quality. Hard to beat. The Scotch Eggs and sausage rolls are just an evil temptation.

First time to the shop this evening, what a lovely place, so many nice things & the sausage rolls were a real treat :-)

Abigail’s very recently provided catering services for my daughter’s wedding at Hutton Hall, Brentwood. We chose Abigail’s above other caterers because having discussed our requirements with the owner, Phil, we felt we would get a more personalised service, and this proved exactly the case. The canapés served as a wonderful appetiser to the main event, the Wedding Breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. The evening food was also amazing, nobody went home hungry!All our guests were so complimentary of the high standard of food that was served, and the efficient and polite service from the waitresses. We are absolutely thrilled with Abigail’s.

Abigail's catered for our open house at Mimosa Beauty in Chelmsford and the food was absolutely divine. Service with Phil in the lead up to our event was great and Laura on the evening was calm and helpful throughout. Thank you!

lovely little tea room but much smaller than we expected. food was delicious and selection of goodies on offer were eye-wateringly good. will return again! thank you x
