Just a bit of info regarding period poverty!!

A lot of people are aware that we have a supply of sanitary wear behind the counter that we distribute for free to any woman, girl or dad that needs it for their daughter. Period poverty is a real issue and one that we are trying to help with. With the kind donations from period power we can hand these products our for free to those that need them!!

Every year in the UK over 7 million tonnes of food and drink is thrown away, but it's all perfectly edible.
We sell surplus, short-dated stock and food that is either close to or passed its 'best before' date meaning we can pass these massive savings on to our customers and prevent further food going to waste.
... Our aim is to reduce the pressure on food banks, prevent further food waste and simply support our local communities!

Yet again I leave this place more than pleased with my purchases. Polite and always a smiley face when your there. This shop is a Godsend when it comes to my soft drink requirements. I would throughly recommend a visit ��������

I went here for the first time on Saturday with my mum as I have lost my job and fallen on hard times and was so presently surprised with all I brought that will keep my household going for a week at least. Between myself and my mum we spent £10 and couldn't believe it for we walked out with a huge reusable bag ( big bargins bag from home bargins twice the size of a normal bag u buy for like £1) it was over following and my family have been happy with the meals they have gotten over the last few days,



so huge thanks to this awesome store with a great idea, I will defo be returning when they open up again next week.

I saw an old copy of the Sentinel of an interview with Affordable Foods so last Christmas my daughter and I went for the first time. We left with three or four bags of items for presents treats and food for the next few weeks. Since January we have started to go more and more often getting great items of food treats and pop for amazing prices. Every week there are free items to take from flowers, bread, baguettes, hot cross buns, baps/buns, vegtables and fruit. I really can't recommend this place enough. One last thing you both are amazing people for helping the people of Stoke on Trent to have a place like this to shop. They are both very friendly and you can have a joke and laugh with them both.

First time popping in here today with my mum and i honestly do not regret it! I didn’t know what to expect but once in i wasn’t disappointed.. affordable foods and very well stocked, the amount of free food was quite large which gave me a sense of the generosity of others within the community donating these goods for others less fortunate than themselves. Their was a variety of breads, cereals, tinned foods, cakes and pastries, baking ingredients plus much more all free.

I recommend this place to families on a low budget and anyone wanting affordable foods. Staff member was lovely very polite and helpful. Everyone should know about this place and pop in
