Treat yourself to some lovely farm reared beef, with roasting joints, steaks or some of the more thrifty cuts like the delicious mince or brisket to choose from πŸ˜€ happy to hear from a retired butcher the other day that it was some of the best beef he had ever tasted and he had come back to get some more!

User

Homemade burgers using Alder Carr Farm minced beef, spring onions, ricotta, thyme, balsamic vinegar, capers, hot pepper paste, salt and pepper πŸ˜€ delicious!

User

All change in the farm shop πŸ˜€ the deli counter is now in the main shop and refill/household is round the corner with frozen foods and Cook meals!

User

The latest batch of Alder Carr Farm beef is now available in the farm shop! Born and reared on the farm, grass fed Highland X Red Poll - delicious πŸ˜€

User

Fantastic new range of curry pies now in! Made in Debenham using locally sourced ingredients. Slow cooked, delicious curries in hand made pastry. Another Suffolk producer to add to our list of suppliers. πŸ‘

User

We have noticed that one of our 201 hens in the free range flock has bright yellow legs! She's the only one and we would like to give her a name πŸ˜€ comment with your ideas and the best one will be chosen on Friday. The person who came up with it can come and collect a whole tray of beautiful free range eggs from the farm shop!

User

Lovely to have Alice's Borrow Bag return to the shop ready to be borrowed again, limiting plastic bag use! If you have any of our bags at home please do bring them back as our hook is looking a little empty πŸ˜€

User

Happy to report that there will be more Alder Carr Beef available from this Friday! More delicious steaks, casseroles and roast beef dinners πŸ˜€ we don't know when it will arrive on Friday but we're all very excited about this latest batch of beef!

User

Poached eggs on toasted Wooster's Wild sourdough bread is just what's needed after a busy morning collecting eggs πŸ˜€

User

There's been a last minute cancellation for Saturday's pig night, two spaces for what is looking to be a fantastic evening! Email zoe@thebarncafe.co.uk

User

Happy Thursday! Yesterday the lovely hens in the big field laid an impressive 199 eggs πŸ˜€ just look at the colour of those yolks!

User

User

Great farm produced food available in the farm shop with the fantastic grass fed Red Poll X Highland beef fresh in the chiller! Born and raised here at Alder Carr and then hung for 28 days for maximum flavour and the tenderest meat πŸ˜€ maybe treat yourself to steak and eggs this bank holiday weekend? The farm hens are on a lush new field which will make for some deliciously golden yolks!

User

Look at how lovely the deli counter looks! New lines like the cherry peppers stuffed with feta...yum! And just round the corner are the bulbs to plant ready for next spring πŸ˜€

User

Wooster's bread and pastries now delivered to the farm shop twice a week! Wednesdays and Saturdays πŸ˜€ and Rob the chicken man has kindly put the egg sign up at the bottom of the driveway!

User

Rob the chicken man moving the henhouse, the blue hose is their drinking water and during the move the hens all stand on a platform inside the house.

User

Wonderful day out. It was a real surprise to find they still do pick your own. The children we had with us so enjoyed picking raspberries and the following day made jam. Great place to visit

User

We had a superb starter and main course for Sunday lunch. To full to have a pudding, the staff were also excellent. I would highly recommend it. This is not my first visit there, and always enjoy it.

User

Very welcoming whenever I bring my baby daughter here. Often come here for brunch or cake and coffee. Always superb food, particularly like the home made cakes.

User

This is the best farm shop & place to eat in the area

User

Myself and my friend came and had breakfast yesterday and the good was amazing will definitely be back

User

My husband and I love this place, the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We most certainly have not come across any rudeness either in the cafe or farm shop.

User

Lovely food all sourced locally, friendly staff and a great setting. I really like it at Alder Carr.

User

User

User

Dropped in for refreshments on a long bike ride. Really good to get a cream tea, staff very pleasant and several plastic-free options.

User

Delicious roast pork and yummy carrot cake with lovely friendly service in the cafe. Bit of a shame a couple of the shops are closed on a Sunday!

User

A very friendly place and welcoming beautiful cakes.. not tried the cooked meals yet but they do look so yummy πŸ˜‹

User

A great farm shop, cafe/restaurant and other outlets. I go for the vegetables.

User

Great place to visit and the gift shops are fantastic. Only disappointment was that they close at 5 and yet coffee machine had been turned off at 4 so couldn't stop for a drink.

User

A nice place for a coffee and explore the jewellery and grocery shops. There is a nature trail and some chickens and animals to see. We take our cameras to see who can take the best shots. Look for the damselflies by the pond. I took some nice photos of them.

User

We went to pick strawberries a couple of weekends ago and was told there wasn't any by a very rude member of staff. We were informed that the website was all updated and had we have checked prior to leaving we would have known that there were no strawberries yet. As parents this is something we always check to save disappointment. We decided to go to the strawberry festival and again there were no strawberries, which defeats the purpose of the event in my opinion, once again we have 3 disappointed children and judging by the other reviews we aren't the only family to encounter rude staff and an unorganized business. We won't be wasting our time with this place again and we won't be recommending to anyone either. Service with a smile costs nothing and goes a long way which is something to consider to ensure new custom.

User

Just had lunch at the cafe, food was nice, service was slow. Upon leaving the farm shop I encountered the rudest member of staff!! My 2 year old toddler went to walk through a door before her and I got a filthy look followed by loud tutting!!! Disgraceful behaviour from a member of staff and I will never be returning! A very hurt and upset customer!!!
