Went for a spa day today with my best friend, it was unreal! The sun was shining and the outdoor garden is lovely to relax with a drink! The pool was lovely and cool and a nice welcome after sunbathing! All facilities were lovely, clean and modern!! We both thoroughly enjoyed our treatments and the girls went out of their way to accommodate us (I had a gel pedicure but hadnÔÇÖt removed my previous gel). The light lunch was lovely and just enough to keep you going, I did however sample the fresh cake in the cafe afterwards ´┐Ż!! All the staff were so friendly, polite and attentive! We cannot wait to return!!

User

Went for a spa day on Thursday with 3 other ladies. Ranging in age from 18 to 50s. We all had a fantastic time.

The pool is a decent size, although there could definitely have been more pool loungers.

The reception area is stylish and comfortable. It also smells amazing with the Espa reed diffuser.

The relaxation area upstairs is fantastic. 3 of the 4 of us fell asleep!

The treatments were excellent. I had a facial and the foot and lower leg massage. The facial in particular was very relaxing and seemed to last much longer than 25 minutes.

Would recommend and we plan to return.

User

My Husband and l both had treatments this morning and really enjoyed them. Friendly professional staff. The pool was great. Used the steam room and Jaccuzzi. We then had coffee and Danish pastries in the lounge area. What's not to like? ´┐Ż Thank you to the staff who looked after us.

User

Love this place!! Stayed here for our wedding anniversary and enjoyed amazing body massages at the on site spa, then swimming in the pool and relaxed in the jacuzzi and steam room.

Also ate our lunch and evening meal at the hotel which were both delicious!

Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel room was beautiful too; great size and very clean with lovely views over the golf course.

I would highly recommend Aldwark Manor.

User

It was an amazing day, the spa treatment was excellent. Would recommend it, thanks for my daughters for taking me

User

I thought this place was wonderful.. Have been looking for a decent Spa and hotel for ages. Birthday treat and given an upgraded room Very relaxing swim after a fantastic lunch . Lovely walk around the village . Very good evening meal . Spa treatments the next day excellent , Will definately be returning.

User

Had a spa day yesterday felt fabulous when I left. All staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Facilities were great, we had lunch which was good also. There were some areas which could do with touching up. People that used the place also could show a bit more respect and adhere to the towels/slippers/gowns placing them in the bins provided but I believe this to be more the members than spa day goers.

User

Had a great day here yesterday for my mum's birthday. Complimentary processo at lunch which was lovely. All staff were amazing, they were really helpful with all our questions. I was able to change part of my treatments for something else after I said I didn't want a pedicure (not keen on having my feet touched) I was able to have a longer manicure instead. Great location and facilities.

The only thing I'd suggest to make it better, the door to the relaxation room needs a slow close door, it's hard to relax when the door bangs all the time!!

User

Beautiful surroundings, excellent faculties and lovely spa ladies. Small suggestion, outdoor hot tub to enjoy the surroundings would be great. Would recommend.

User

Really enjoyed our spa visit as it was a treat for my birthday. All the staff were lovely and friendly. Our massages were amazing and the therapists were very professional so thank you!

Only reason I have given it 4 stars was because the pool was very busy and had children in so wasn't as relaxing as it could be but it is the summer holidays I suppose.

User

My best friend and I went as a treat for our 50th birthdays. We both had a facial which was lovely but I was a bit disappointed with the pool area - don't get me wrong it's lovely just a bit short on loungers and you ended up having to hang around waiting for one to come free so that you could really have the "spa" experience

User

Just returned from an overnight spa weekend the hotel and food were 5* but was disappointed with the spa treatment. I paid for a 60 min treatment I was given a 5 min consultation then left to take a robe off and lay down ten minutes later! She came back in by this time it was 4.15 had rebalancing treatments and was back in the cafe by 4.47 so total treatment time was 32mins´┐Ż I know you need time to undress etc but not 28 minutes. IÔÇÖve got another weekend booked in March and am a bit let down itÔÇÖs going to be the same as this one will be a birthday treat for my other half. Everything else in the Spa was great...

User

I went yesterday with my mum. ItÔÇÖs a Lovely spa with a nice size pool a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Very relaxed atmosphere. We had a hot drink and pastry on arrival whilst we booked our treatments. I had a lovely back, neck, shoulder massage and an express facial. After a few hours by the pool we had a late lunch in the lounge.

User

1st visit with my 3 of my daughters, the massage n salt rub was amazing, my skin feels wonderful. I also slept well for a change. The lunch was so yummy, n kept us going all day. Could do with a coffee n tea machine. Loved the pool, jacuzzi, not enough sun beds to lay on, I couldn't go in the sauna n steam room as I have high blood pressure, but my girls loved it. Lots of clean dry towels whenever needed.

The changing room was really hot, but well equipped. Would definitely return.

User

Went on a groupon voucher with my friend as a special treat. Beautiful grounds and building but we both found the staff quite unfriendly apart from one member. We also found them unhelpful. On arrival I wasn't sure where to go or when we would get our hot drink and Danish pastry. There seemed to be a lack of customer service.the pool area was lovely, we used the jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms which were fab. Could do with a few more chairs for relaxing. Gym area was great too. Massage was lovely. We asked if we could have our hot drink and pastry and she replied " I don't think there's any left" this was a bit disappointing. There was no apology, she didn't ask if we'd like a slice of cake. She just brought us a mini donut and miniature cake and said nothing. No one seems to smile at Aldwark manor. Maybe it's the bank holiday blues! Even in the squadron bar where we had lunch the staff seem unhappy.I would expect for a hotel and spa like this to have a higher standard of customer service. Unfortunately because of this I would b reluctant to go back and defiantly would not pay full price. We found it slightly disappointing.

User

I've been here twice with in one month- firstly with girls from uni and secondly with my sisters. The first visit was ok, I didn't like that there were no slippers and the floor didn't look pleasant. The treatment was fabulous and I enjoyed dinner. The second visit my sister booked on a group on voucher, which ended up being more expensive. With the groupon voucher you have to pay £7 for a robe. The relaxation area is far to small, there are not enough beds or seats, the treatment was good but defiantly not worth the price at all! £35 for a 25 minuet treatment is extortionate. I've paid less than this at a 5* hotel. The service at the bar area is not really good. Dirty cups, spoons and when I first went, they were cleaning the coffee machine and filtered it out using a bucket (customer side) to find stagnant water was coming out which I have just had a drink made from . Then when the gentleman said oh is there another sink to use the lady said no so he cleaned it out in the same sink cutlery and things were washed in. Then they cleaned the floor with a gym towel. Defiantly not a spa to accompany a 4* hotel. It needs updating, and staff need to be more attentive with customers.

User

Have been today for a spa morning which I was really looking forward to, however left slightly disappointed. Had to pay £7 for robe and slippers which smelt, changing room was quite dirty, mould and lots of dust on the floor. Showers had quite a bit of mould. Pool area was nice but only 7 loungers. Quite a few kids around which isn't too relaxing when you have booked a spa day. Headed to relaxation room for some quiet, but was a bit chilly. Glad I got this through groupon and didn't pay full price.

User

Beautiful setting terrible restaurant service even though pre booked reluctant customer service

Quality of food ok view from room faced a wall could hear a noisy generator most of the night itÔÇÖs just ok

User

Our room was very nice and treatment was fab, I had a back and face massage. We had a light lunch included but on arrival there was very little food on the buffet and the sandwiches were stale. We sat down for dinner at 8.05 and didn't receive our starter until 8 45pm and it took half an our to get a glass of wine at dinner. Breakfast too was under staffed and the man who greeted us was quite abrupt. Long waits for food on the buffet too at breakfast.

Beautiful setting terrible restaurant service even though pre booked reluctant customer service

Quality of food ok view from room faced a wall could hear a noisy generator most of the night itÔÇÖs just ok
