Hi everyone. Sorry we've been quiet. We've been busy reaching out and spreading the joy of camping to other land owners who are keen to share their part of the world and in response, we have 4 AMAZING new sites across the UK opening in 2019. They are all unique and offer something different, but rest easy in the knowledge that where ever you choose to be, if you are with ABTC, you will be sleeping in one of our cosy stylish bell tents, with only a few other bell tent neig...hbours, in really naturally stunning countryside. I'll keep you in suspense no longer. Here is a list of all new sites opening Spring 2019. Of course our flagship site at Mannington Hall and our sister site at Wiveton are still operating and open for business this May. Busy times ahead!
Hoveton Estate (Bewilderwood!) - Norfolk - A woodland clearing in the heart of Hoveton Estate, with the magical world of Bewilderwood just a stroll away (you can hear the shrieks through the trees). Also offers fantastic access to the Broads AONB - for opportunities to get up close to the water and the wildlife.
Hopton Court Estate - Shropshire - A secluded natural woodland setting, offering a real wilderness escape on this stunning estate land, and with opportunities to ramble onto the Shropshire Hills AONB with all the spectacular attractions this natural environment has to offer. On site, glampers will have the benefit of their own personal wc/wash room for each tent and a wood fired sauna. Fancy!
Bells Farm - Worchester - A successful pick your own farm setting, with a fantastic farm shop on site supporting local producers, giving stays here a real foodie emphasis and offering a real British Farm backdrop for family glamping. A wholesome holiday experience.
Walcis Farm Estate - Norfolk - This site literally has the river Wensum winding through the meadows with uninterrupted views of the water and typical East Angilan countryside. It's like steeping into a Constable painting. The emphasis here will be to offer river based adventure through wild swimming, canoeing, fishing, and generally messing around in the crystal clear water.
There is more info about each site on the website, as well as on Cool Camping, and we will be posting more about each site up close and personal in the coming week.
Thanks for listening!
Amber :)

Runner up in this year's photo competition is this pic from Ark Mid Century. I love this. One beauty chilling, the other goofing about. Isn't that's what being outdoors is all about. Just chilling and being free. We had such fantastic images this year, so huge thanks to all who took the time to hashtag their stay. As a way of saying thank you to you all, I'd like to offer 15% off a 2019 stay at Mannington Hall next year. Chin chin!

Finally - so sorry for the delay. Christmas got in the way. My friend and judge Debby Besford Photography and I both agree that this lovely moment sums up what everyone hopes a family getaway creates. Kids hanging out, on their own, enjoying a bit of independence, lost in play, unplugged. Lovely. Well done @LauraTeague - You win 1st prize for this year's photo competition. Hurrah! Your notonthehighstreet vouchers are on their way to you. Runner up on the way.

Boxing Day - Ahhhh, exhale. I love this space between celebrations. It’s been a really busy year this year with no out of season down time, so am really wallowing in sloth mode. Wishing you all peace. We're still open at Wiveton Hall until the end of the month. We've weekend space left if you anyone fancies some Autumn camping.

User

We’re home from an amazing 5 days staying in Ambers Bell Tents. The tents were beautiful and Amber had supplied everything you could possibly need down to cooking oil and salt and pepper! We all slept wonderfully and the toilets and showers were always clean.

We were sad to leave and are already trying to make plans to be able to come back at the end of the summer!

User

We would highly recommend Amber's bell tents at Wiveton Hall. The tent is spacious and looks amazing, the double bed is warm and comfy and the tent can survive a barrage of night rain very well! A gas stove is provided for a cup of tea which is a bonus.

The setting is very beautiful with Its sea views and the cafe at Wiveton does brilliant food ( especially tapas night!). The showers are nice and warm too.

The only thing I would say needs improvement is the fire smokes alot if rain is particularly heavy and none of our lights worked. However based on everything else I would still give it 5 stars! Come say hello next time :)

User

We stayed last weekend at Mannington with our 2 children (10yrs and 8yrs). The tents are set in an extremely peaceful location in the middle of the countryside. Amber has thought of everything. We didn't bring any camping equipment, but I would recommend a good torch as it is very dark at night time. It was cold during the night as it is only May, but the wood burning stove and lots of blankets kept us all warm. The showers are very clean and warm. We will definitely be returning. Thanks Amber

User

We just returned from the most amazing 3 nights at Wiverton, such an incredible location in terms of beaches, the cafe, lovely villages etc but also a fantastic site. Only 4 bell tents, lovely walks, views to the sea, cafe on site which is fantastic for a coffee in am and wood fired pizza evenings. The inside of the bell tent was just gorgeous, loved the crates, vintage books, gorgeous pillow, bunting, bedspread... The double bed was really comfy, the showers and loos all new and very clean. The kids loved the hula hoops, wheelbarrows, badminton set, chickens, pigs.. A really fantastic 3 nights!! We didn't meet Amber but Shaun couldn't have been more helpful with fantastic recommendations. Sadly we live a very long way away otherwise I'd want to move in! Zoe, West Sussex

User

We have just spent an amazing five nights at the Wiveton site. The Bell tent was beautiful and everything you could possibly need was there. We especially loved the little homely touches such as the bunting, tea lights, sea lavender in vases and many more. The children had a wonderful time and loved the swing rope. Thank you Shaun and Amber. From Chris, Flo, William and Charlie xx (Buttercup Bell Tent )

We had an AMAZING Stayed last weekend at the Mannington site with our 3 children. Amber has thought of everything. We didn't need to bring a thing other than a pint of milk for our tea... The showers are very clean and warm and the honesty box shop for wood and BBQ coals is such a brilliant idea... We are definantly coming back.... Thanks Amber

User

We had a wonderful time here at the end of May. It was lovely to get our three children away from screens to enjoy the outdoors. They loved exploring their surroundings, finding the bird hide, cooking on the fire pit, playing rounders, football, toasting marshmallows and the visit from The Chip Bucket. Amber has thought of everything and the tents were very well equipped and toasty warm at night with the stove lit. It was great to have the enjoyment of camping without the hassle of bringing everything with you, putting the tent up and taking it down. We will definitely be back xx

User

Unique, lovely and lots of fun! There were 11 of us in totally. The teepees are beautiful with delightful extra touches such as fresh flowers and recipe books. Lots of room inside with fires inside to keep you warm. There's a little shed with table tennis and lots of other fun bits like a frisbee. Plenty of trails for us walkers and a short drive away from Holt. We bought some sausages from the butchers to fry on the stove for breakfast! What made our trip so special was the extra touches and the effort the owners have clearly gone too. You feel very cosy and welcome and have everything you need and more! Hot showers too. Would definitely return and have already recommended it to family and friends! Thank you Amber and crew for a fab weekend!

User

This was a great way to start summer holidays and actually now the only way to go camping (sorry glamping). There is nothing that Ambers Bell Tent Camping have not thought of. Their attention to detail (even under canvas) is impressive. Mannington Hall a super setting also. Highly recommend and we will be back.

User

This place really is a hidden gem in Norfolk! I cannot rate it highly enough if you are looking for somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Tranquil, peaceful and the friendliest host. Set in the beautiful countryside, you are surrounded by walks, fields and quaint villages. Cromer was just a 20 minute drive which led to a perfect sunday by the beach. The bell tents are equipped with everything you need and the in-room wood burner was certainly a novelty. Thanks for such a great, memorable stay Amber! We shall return!

User

The most perfect bell tent experience, of course great weather helped as did the gorgeous location.... Amber has thought through everything to make the tents family friendly whilst retaining a wonderful charm. Would highly recommend.

User

Such a great campsite, in a beautiful location. Amber left us with everything we needed for a fantastic time. She was extremely helpful in the booking process, getting back to me quickly and answering all our questions. We had a group of 11 of us in two tents, which still left us with plenty of room. Outside the campfires with the logs and picnic benches made a great area for us all together. We had some lovely walks around the surrounding areas and through Mannington Hall Gardens (which are beautiful) Thank you so much for all of your help and for accommodating such a large group of us on your wonderful campsite!

User

Perfect spot to explore the Norfolk coastline. Comfy bed, all the kitchen bits we needed and great loo & shower facilities. I dropped a bracelet down the sink and Amber's husband fished it out of the drain for me - so kind!

User

Needed a mini break with my partner just to get away from our busy schedules...this was perfect.

When we arrived they'd had a storm the night previous. Amber still greeted us with a warm welcome and did an amazing job bringing the campsite back to life. We settled in straight away and felt very at home with the wood burner on the go and cup of tea in hand.

The scenery around the campsite is stunning and just a short walk away is a lovely village with a great pub with great food. All in all lovely couple of days and we will be returning !!

User

Just spent a really lovely weekend at Mannington Hall. Amber leaves lots of lovely touches that make things easier/more comfortable (especially with kids in mind). Despite the cold weather we were all warm and comfortable in our tent and had everything we could possibly need. Thanks for a lovely stay. Can't wait to come back next year!

User

Just got home from our stay at wiverton .. Miss it already!! Such a peaceful place to stay, literally a 5 minute walk to Blakeney along the coastal path just pure heaven!!! Can't wait to come back! Amber, Sean and their staff are so friendly can't reccommend wiverton enough!!!

User

Just got back from an absolutely brilliant weekend at Ambers bell tents. We stayed in the shepherds hut, and what a little gorgeous hideaway in an idyllic place. Everything has been thought of, from the marshmallows to toast on the open fire, to the toy box to have some fun! We also had the pleasure of using one of the bell tents this afternoon to have a surprise family picnic for my partners birthday, this was equally as gorgeous and I know we will be back to give one of these a go with some friends.

Thank you Amber for making the weekend away so special! Hopefully will see you soon

If you're looking for comfort, style and a stunning view then this is your place. We had a wonderful few days of family time, reconnecting with the help of no phones! Open fire, watching the chickens roost, beautiful tents lovingly prepared and all home comforts, what more can you ask for?

User

Had a lovely time staying in Amber's Bell tents at Mannington Hall. We stayed in the meadow for one which is right next to the main house and Gardens. Beautiful setting, everything you need to make an easy camping experience. The noise from the road and the jet planes flying over early morning was the only downside but it didn't spoil our lovely break. Great location, some lovely beaches and pretty villages within a short drive. Would recommend to everyone.
