We have a lovely little bit of news for you all; new loose leaf teas! While it took some convincing to let me sell them (instead of hiding/drinking everything) we now have a plethora of options on offer. Varieties include; Lapsang Souchong, Strawberry & Basil, Gunpowder Green, Raspberry & Rosemary, 100% Peppermint, Premium Earl Grey, Orange Blossom Oolong and Beauty Queen blend Green Tea! Feel free to pop in on a sunny afternoon to sample these lovely herbal liquids. Although, don't order the Lapsang. I want the Lapsang.

Hello lovely Norwich people, we shall be opening at 6 today to finish off our lovely new roof! See you guys then for casual drinking and questionably finished DIY products. :)

Why not celebrate Mother's Day by making sure your (very patient) guardian is rewarded? Well, we can cover that - to such an extent that they won't even remember being rewarded so handsomely! On the Saturday prior to Mother's Day, if you bring your Mom in to visit us, she will get a free Gimlet alongside your first transaction. Go on - be British, and ensure your parent has a monumental hangover on the one day a year that they are allowed one!

Just to let everyone know, in response to feedback regarding how people have to work on the Monday following St Patrick's Day, we've decided to extend our Celtic celebrations! While we will no longer be opening on the Sunday, we will be hosting an Irish takeover all this and next week, including Kinahan's; one of the most subtle, traditional Irish whiskeys out there. There will be other Irish whiskey, Guinness Original, Dubliner Whiskey & Honeycomb Liqueur, alongside much more! Come for the big dog, stay for the craic!

Important Announcement: We will be shut today, as we are running off to some silly auction somewhere. I'm upset too. See you tomorrow!

Sharing a little highlight from last week; Dillon stealing Gregory's Hot Toddy - he's 18 months, not 18 years! No service for Dillon!

What better way to celebrate our Celtic cousins than having a proper drink? We'll be hosting an Irish takeover behind the bar on both the week prior and following St Patrick's Day, serving a vast array of Irish Whisky, neat Poitin (including one at a monumental 90% ABV) and Irish Cream. Dillon the Irish Wolfhound will be present as our cultural ambassador, alongside traditional Irish folk music (and our usual tunes) and Caffrey's sweets. If I make any puns, it's going to sound like we don't respect the culture. So, well. Come have a drink.
Please note: Due to customer feedback regarding how people would need to work the following day, we will no longer be open on St Pat's Sunday. Instead, we are bulking out our usual, plentiful offering with a plethora of Irish Whiskeys, Guinness Original, Poitin, etc.

At Arboretum, we cant help but acknowledge that Valentine's Day is a very important event in most relationships. However, we are also miserable, sarcastic souls who cannot do anything entirely seriously. As such, our Valentine's celebrations will be rather tongue-in-cheek! We will be open at our usual hours (3pm-10pm) - serving our usual wonderful selection of delectable beverages. What makes this evening different will be an extensive collection of old, romantic music, and d...eals on anything pink! Pink cocktails (Rose Gimlets, Sherry Cobblers, Raspberry Brambles etc.) will be two-for-£11, alongside pink spirits/mixers (Aromatic G&T, Rhubarb Gin & Tonic, Spirits & Rose Gin, etc.) will be two-for-£8.50. Also, if you arrive alone, we will be providing you with a very strong, black cocktail for an extremely reduced price of £5! We'll be walk-ins only, so no booking is available. Really, we want to just be a nice place to relax before/after a romantic meal. Or, y'know, a place to get blind drunk if you're single. See you then!

Considering our current political climate, we feel we should have a listen to one of our more impactful political leaders. On January 27th (3pm-10pm) we will be hosting a series of broadcasts from the eponymous Winston Churchill, exclusively during (or relating to) the war. Naturally, it will be free entry with no tickets, with the itinerary as follows:
3pm - Open 4pm-6pm - A Series of Short Broadcasts (starting with Neville Chamberlain's Declaration of War, ending with We ar...e Captains of our Souls) 6.30pm - On Allied Victories - Duration: 48:46 8pm - The Follies of the Victors - Duration: 50:48 9.15pm - The Victory Speech- Duration: 8:35 10pm - Time
Alongside our usual offering, we will be serving Winston Churchill's favourite Highball, Bucks Fizz and Victoria Sponge Cake. Between each broadcast will be music of the era and, if you arrive dressed up vaguely thematically, you will receive of a free mini cocktail! It's a chance to relax, listen to some inspiring words, drink like your Nan did and eat some cake.

As some of you may already know, we are putting in place some rather dramatic structural changes in the coming few weeks. The shop frontage is now seriously private but, naturally, that is not all! We will now be open 3pm-10pm Tuesday-Saturday, which will be extended to seven days a week in the near future. More information will come out soon; this is only the tip of the iceberg! Watch this space.

Hello Everyone! Tonight the aliens descend onto our bar, for our War of the Worlds radio broadcast! If you wish to attend, we recommend being at the doors by 6! As always our cocktails reflect the time, so this will be the only time it is acceptable to utter the words Old Fashioned.
