i have eaten here on quite a few occasions having in some respects a Greek background. It never ceases to amaze me how great the food is and to add to the experience, the staff are fantastic.. no need to add anything more...

Went at lunchtime for the meze for 2! Loads of food and so tasty! Would recommend and will be returning for an evening as would love the music and entertainment �

This was our third visit to the 'Palace' this year and the 15 of us were easily accommodated with plenty of space. We enjoyed an excellent evening with delicious food, a great atmosphere, fun entertainment and helpful staff. The Meze really is 'all you can eat' and we benefited from several top ups.

Being a Saturday we also got to enjoy the belly dancing and music and everyone is welcome to join in if they want to. There is ample parking nearby and it's really close to Bedford train station.



For a great Saturday night out in Bedford this is the place to go.

My boyfriend and I visited last night and had a lovely evening. We had bought a Groupon voucher which entitled us to the Meze and a drink each or a discounted bottle of wine.



We were greeted as soon as we arrived by Manolis (the owner) and offered to choose which table we wanted to sit at. The first stage of our Meze was served within 20 minutes, with the second course following a swift 5-10 mins after we'd finished the first. We had longer to wait for the third course, around 30 mins, but this was ideal as it gave us a breather from eating!! The Meze is a great way to sample a selection of different meals and we thought the food was lovely, the lamb was particularly YUM! So tender.



The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. And the entertainment of a singer, a belly dancer and the waiting staff encouraging dinners to get up and dance to Zorba the Greek was all good fun.



I would definitely return.

Just WOW! We were slightly concerned when we saw the exterior by we walked in to the most beautiful, authentic, restaurant with a lovely warm family atmosphere.



The staff were amazing, with us and our 10 month old daughter. So friendly and chatty without being intrusive. The highlight, however, was absolutely amazing food! We had the Meze for 2 and it was incredible!



Couldn't find a single fault with this little gem of a restaurant and we will definitely be back with the rest of our family soon!

I visited Athena for my cousins hen do and all I can say is I can not wait to go back again!

Not only was the food delicious but the staff were so helpful, friendly and joined in with our group and all the other people dining and partying there that evening!

The dancing was fantastic and the waiters and waitresses made our night even better!

The drummer was especially fantastic! Thank you

Had a fantastic evening at Athena Palace last night. Amazing food, very friendly staff who really made us feel valued as customers. The belly dancer was great and the disco music was spot on! Thank you so much, will definitely be returning!

Had a Saturday night takeaway for me, Mrs and son. Food was spot on. Pick up time was as stated and left us all comfortably stuffed. Great service and food. I know where our next healthy takeaway will be coming from.

Great atmosphere even though it was quite when we went. Everyone was so friendly and the food was delisious we ordered the meze as my partner hadn't tried much Greek before so was a great way for him to try a bit of everything. We may of overdone it on the bread and dips because we struggled with the mains. We shared a baklava as I generally don't like it but I really enjoyed it. Thank you

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The service was exceptional - have never been to a place with such friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious and so much of it! We will without a doubt travel from Milton Keynes again! Thank you so much for a great evening on Saturday

Went for our girls birthday !!!

Staff where almost too attentive as very quite ,but food was very good and tasty .

We would have loved to go when busy with dancing and entertainment as this venue has huge potential .

A very strange sewage smell when you first enter the property and not a eye catching property from the street .

Would recommend the restaurant as they deserved recognition for lovely food ,they just need well deserved bums on seats to create a fantastic atmosphere , keep going guys , we will be back.xx

We had a great time tonight. Ordered mezze for 2 and it was more than we could eat! Very attentive waiter, lovely authentic food and nice red house wine. Will be back!

I've been a few times now and always loved it but the most recent experience was similar but unfortunately they have halved the portions for the main meal so the men in the party were probably still hungry having to share one lamb shank between 4 as a main with a few bits of chicken. The food was amazing but we should've asked for a bit more. Previously I've had the exact same amount of food between 2 of us which has been almost too much so they need a balance.

4 of us visited here on a Friday night. 1 menu between 4 , no wine list only red white or rose house !

1 waitress for entire restaurant. Ordered meze for 4 all arrived within minutes and that was it . Noticed that table beside us had exactly the same but was only 2 people e.g. I small lamp shank and plate of rice and chicken . Not enough food for 4 people . Desert was only profiteroles or ice cream at extra cost but very poor selection . everything else was "off"menu .

To cap it all a 10% service charge was added to our £100 bill which we refused to pay . Really this was a £10 head place . Very disappointed .

The worst service ever unfortunately!Really disapointed as me and my husband invited a couple with us to show them restaurant. It was 6 people together with kids.We ordered four ,meze' as we were recommended by staff and got few starters for all of us and 4 plates of main meal. One lamb shoulder for 6 people?? All portion were too small for main meal.... They told us we are going to have a plenty food but no one gave us more than that. We were hungry so we ordered some Baklava but was too dry and tasteless,like without walnuts inside. We had normal soft drinks and few beers.We paid more than £120 and when we asked the girl who was working there , she was owners daughter she took our phone number and promised her dad, owner would call us. She said that it is strange and we should ask for more food. I mean no one told us to beg for more and that is just not nice at all. They have to explain how they do meze to people who are first time there.That never happened, he didn't call us but that just proved how unprofessional they are or they were just that night, who knows but it was really embarrassing and very bad experience...

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times previously and always enjoyed it so I reccommended the venue to a friend for her 30th birthday... what a mistake!



The food was lovely however the portions were tiny! Food that should have been between 2-4 people were given to 6 of us. We asked for more and were simply told no.



During the main meal it went completely dark for the belly dancer to perform so by the time the lights came back on our food was cold.



We were then ripped off at the bar, with prices varying between customers and between rounds! We were being charged anything from £3-£6 per small bottle of beer?! How can you charge different amounts for the same drinks? We personally paid £7 for one small bottle of greek beer and a can of coke!



The 'disco' after was just a joke. How you can advertise a Saturday night as a party night is beyond me! The atmosphere was awful and the other birthday party left early too!



After a few members of our group argued with the owner about being overcharged and ripped off, we paid £10.00 per head instead of £17.99 per head and left the restaurant.



This restaurant is in a poor location in Bedford, with unsavoury characters hanging around its doorway and should therefore be doing its upmost to keep in business and keep customers returning, instead, it let us down and none of our group will return again.



What a shame!

Booked a table for 13 and one person couldn’t make it, Later realised we were charged for an extra meal! Service charge added to the bill even though every time we asked for something it never arrived!

One menu for the whole table with 80% tipexed out, really the only option was Meze with house wine or beer!



Waited ages between courses and when the main finally arrived they turned the lights off and kept hassling everyone to get up while they were trying to eat!

Food was so bland we couldn’t tell the difference between the lamb, chicken or the rice!



If you like Haven holidays and poor quality food, you’ll love it.
