WOW What a lovely Sunday afternoon treat to spend my birthday here. Amazing decor, spotless and the seating area outside is just so cool. Absolutely the best place in Ipswich by far ! I would give 10 stars if I could � The staff are friendly and professional a great treat, highly recommend a visit.

Visited yesterday for a birthday celebration and all I can say is ....FANTASTIC ! The staff, service, interior / exterior decor and the vibe are all pretty amazing. Big thanks to Josie and the team for looking after us. Will see you all again very soon. Keep up the great work guys, your business is a real credit to Ipswich :-)

Have been coming to Aurora for a few years now and have never had bad service or a bad experience.

The food is second to none, the staff are exceptional. Whether it’s Sunday Lunch, a quick bite, family dinner or drinks in the sun, there is nowhere else quite like it.

Had a fabulous afternoon with friends for a birthday today. A mix of afternoon teas, cream teas and cocktails! Only issue was waiting at the bar and the staff were a bit lacking in noticing who was next

Great service from start to finish, waiter cery attentive and food quality excellent. Second visit in the restaurant and was not disappointed. 5 stars!

Fantastic Christmas party on Thursday night, Aurora was extremely busy but the place was buzying with ambiance and good atmosphere. The staff was extremely professional from the welcome entry through the night. The DJ choice of music got everyone on the festive spirit. The food and drinks were excellent .Superb location and decorations.

Best afternoon tea I’ve had! Lovely food, very attractive venue, lovely polite staff. Can not fault it at all

A massive thank you to Aurora for making my nanny & grandad’s 50th Wedding Anniversary so special. The three course set menu was great and the service altogether was on point. We will definitely return again for another meal! X

Food was delicious but having to wait over an hour for a drink-but they did waive the drinks charge. And hour half before food. Shame.

Don't recommend coming here for Christmas works party Friday night party night been told to be quiet by the staff in the half empty restaurant! Has put a real dampener on the evening! Nearly £50 a head and the crackers where also cheap several didn't even have contents! Real shame cause the food prepared by the chefs was amazing and the only reason they managed to scrap 3 stars!!!!! Actually been made to feel very uncomfortable.

Just taken my family to celebrate my mother in law and father in laws 80th birthday so there were 11 of us in total , food excellent but service was very poor, staff was very friendly but waiting time in between courses was very long ,

I booked in to take my friend for a birthday lunch on Friday it was disappointing the burger was very greasy and the chips were too crispy with no potato in, we advised the staff of this when we are asked if everything was ok but was not offered an explanation or a replacement dish..

Getting a drink there is pretty much impossible. Once there were 6 people behind the bar but they were all more interested in polishing the glasses than serving people. Even when there are 2-3 customers, it will take about 15-20 mins to get a drink.

They have the BEST business model in town for a restaurant. So not only do you have to pay for a meal in FULL (inc service charge) that you won't have due to flu (and not giving them 24 hours notice as per their terms on page 20 of the 21 page party pack - which is not clear); they then call the hosts to moan about it as well.... professionalism at it's finest!! This is why you are always half full (or less as per other reviews) as you can afford too do so with this policy.



Please note that we have paid to our "friends" the £77.00 (£38.50 each inc service charge) for two meals that we won't be receiving due to flu which does not give you enough notice....

Normally a great place to drink but tonight 6 of us went to the bar for our second round of cocktails and tonight ....... no glasses!!!!!!! Waited for 30 minutes after saying we will have any glasses but still waiting! Not good enough service for the price you have to pay ....... left and went somewhere for instance service

Disgraceful! We have just informed Aurora prior to our booking that 1 member of a 16 person booking is unwell due to flu. Apparently the fact that the person didn't inform them 24 hours in advance (because you can plan flu) they are not only going to keep the deposit, but also charge for a meal that isn't going to be eaten because the person isnt going to be there. Beware all, apparently it's on Page 20 of a 21 page terms and conditions document, they can do this. Currently have a solicitor reviewing this as it's a breach of a 2015 consumer law, but wanted to ensure others were aware when making a reservation that you are liable for every meal, regardless whether you turn up or not - it won't just be the deposits you are losing. They will probably charge the 10% enforced service charge too!

Absolutely disgraceful. I have frequently come to this restaurant and enjoyed both the food and service but last night was shambolic. I'm actually embarrassed for them. We walked in and the hostess took our drinks order at the bar. She made 2/3 drinks and made half a cocktail then walked off. Took 35 minutes to get my cocktail order finished/remade and an additional 5 drinks served as other party members came in. Then we walked ourselves to the table - we weren't shown to it. A boy came over and asked if we wanted to order any drinks. We hadn't seen a menu to order drinks from. He returned with menus, walked off and we never saw him again. Eventually we order two bottles of wine and some other drinks and the lady came over and served us. She poured the red wine and was about to walk off until she saw me opening the white wine and serving my sister ... She told me she forgot about that bottle - you had only just served it! That is just the beginning of the night and believe me it goes on. We will never return here again and they have lost potential new custom too. Disgraceful.
