Just opened a letter that I received two days ago (21-5-14) telling me that you were going to automatically renew my public liability insurance on the same day it came through my door. How am I supposed to cancel it in time? Even if I had opened the letter on the day it arrived you would still be charging me?!

It will now cost me £50+to cancel this policy that I didn't even want or ask for in the first place!

You could have called me to confirm I wanted the policy, could you not?

This is no better than theft, and you damn well know it.

I had been a paying customer of Autonet insurance for many years and this is how you treat people.

I will be sending you your public liability policy back today with a formal request that it is cancelled ASAP.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Anyone who is thinking of using this insurance broker should AVOID using them whatsoever.

My insurance on my van was £1000 for the year, £85 per month with a £170 deposit.

After 7 weeks I needed to cancel this policy - by this point they had taken a total of £440 from me... When I called to ask what refund I would be getting, they informed me that in actual fact, I owed them £137!!! I will definitely be taking this to the insurance ombudsman.

Absolute disgrace of a company.

I bought my van insurance through this company on the net the night before going on holiday for two weeks so that it wasn't uninsured while I was away. Two days after I got back I find an email demanding copies of both parts of my and the named drivers licence. I sent mine off but could only get a copy of the named drivers card because his paper one had gone missing in a house move. A week later I received another email demanding the missing photocopy or they would cancel the insurance. I telephoned them to ask why such a short deadline and they just said its the terms and conditions. I had seven days to get the copy or the insurance would be cancelled. Robles was that the named driver had just gone back offshore to an oil rig for two weeks. I had to go and bug his wife to apply for a replacement copy of his licence. She applied for it online and it came back in five days. The day it came back I copied it and sent the copy in. The next day I got the email to say the insurance had been cancelled. Called them again to explain and all I got was that it has been cancelled even though the copy was probably in their post room unopened. The then told me I would only receive 25% refund of the premium.

My cost so far £150 for a months insurance and about £20 for phone calls. Their admin charge was for sending 6 copy and pasted emails.

I will never entertain doing any sort of business with this company again and neither will any one I know.

To me they cancelled my insurance because they could under the terms and conditions all for the sake of a photocopy of a counterpart licence of some one who couldn't have even driven the vehicle becaus he was sat on an oil rig in the middle of the North Sea.
