Would like to thank all the staff at the Barns hotel in Bedford for making our wedding day so so special. Margaret who was our wedding coordinator on the day made us feel so comfortable and welcome and ensuring our day was stress free.

What a fantastic venue to get married in. From our initial look around to the wedding day we could not fault the service we received. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Special mention to Sam, who made the whole process easy and stress free to Mags who looked after us on the day, and ensured everything ran trouble free. We loved our special day and thank you to everyone who played a part, in front of house and behind the scenes.
We had our wedding reception here on 13/08/16 and we definitely made the right choice! The feedback from our guests is still flooding in with so much praise for the fantastic day they all had. The presentation of the the drinks on arrival was lovely, the room looked stunning and the food was superb. The day ran like clockwork, incorporating our Greek side went perfectly too, our wedding coordinator Ben was attentive and friendly and it was a happy wedding with everyone laughing, eating, dancing and celebrating a brilliant day in a stunning riverside setting. Nothing was too much trouble from the minute we booked it to the end of our stay in the beautiful honeymoon suite. Happy memories!!
We had our wedding on 28 October and it was the most amazing day. The hotel surpassed all our expectations, we couldn't have asked for anything more!
The service, food and venue were all excellent.
I was a little worried about providing some our decorations to be set up by the venue however I needn't have worried. We were shown the room before our guests were allowed in and it was perfect. I had been looking a lot on pinterest for wedding inspiration and the barn looked liked so many pictures I had seen. Perfect! It made me cry as soon as I walked in!
The staff working on our wedding were amazing and anything that we asked for was done straight away!

We had our wedding here yesterday (8th June 2018) What a day !!! From the moment I arrived ,Alec the wedding coordinator was first class , very attentive, very professional.
The team followed our instructions to the letter, from setting up the ceremony, wedding breakfast through to the evening reception, a first class service
The wedding breakfast was top quality with Alec and his team meeting our every need , the meal was fantastic... top quality food .
The Barns team looked after my bride to be from the moment she arrived , we had the Fenlake suite , a lovely room with a lovely view over the river .
From the lead up to the ceremony through to the evening reception Alec made sure our every need was catered for.
Every member of the staff were lovely , even at breakfast the restaurant team made us feel important.
The Barns have given us memories we will cherish.
We had our wedding here on 4th November. I couldn’t recommend it enough. The staff were so helpful and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The manor suite was amazing, just a shame we didn’t get to take fuller advantage of it. Food was delicious. We made all our own table decorations and venue decor and the team followed our diagrams perfectly, infact they did better then we could have hoped for. Thank you for making our special day so perfect. X
We got married here on 19.11.16 and it was the most amazing day. The wedding planner, Sam, was always very helpful on the lead up to the wedding but the staff on the day really out did themselves! Ben, Leah and Margaret took care of the day and made us feel very special.
They were all very professional, polite, efficient and friendly. Nothing was ever too much to ask and they were always around should we have any questions throughout the day.
The Barns is a beautiful setting and the Barn itself is a real statement piece.
I would highly recommend this venue for weddings, so well done guys :) xx

Spent a couple of hours there yesterday lunchtime. Easy parking, friendly welcome, great service, lovely lunch on the terrace overlooking the river in the sunshine.

Our wedding day at the Barns Hotel was absolutely perfect. The organisation up to the day was great and the running of the day by Alec was absolutely faultless. A massive thank you to Alec and all the staff that made our day so special.
Lovely hotel, very friendly and accommodating staff. The food is delicious with so much on offer at the breakfast buffet.
The grounds are kept very well and the location next to the river is great.
If I could give six stars I would. My husband and I married at the Barns last Thursday, and the service from all of the staff was exceptional. Despite having two events managers (one for the ceremony and another for the reception) the hand over was seamless. The quality of the service was incomparable and met even my very own high standards! We genuinely couldn't have wished for a better day, and the Barns really deserves the recognition for this too. We did encounter the odd hiccup, but the staff dealt with any issues and helped to make our special day even more special. We would recommend without hesitation, to anyone who wants the perfect venue for their wedding, then they needn't look any further than the river.
Idyllic location, gorgeous food, friendly staff. Can't wait to get married there.
EDIT: I’m now married and I can’t thank The Barns Hotel enough. They made my day perfect!! I can’t recommend them all enough. The barn was even more beautiful than I pictured it to be, and I pictured it from the second I walked in on my first visit there. The team were amazing and the food was incredible.

I got married almost 8 years ago. This was an amazing setting for me & my husband's big day. Staff were amazing could never do enough for you. Food was fantastic even though the speeches went on for a while. Was the best day of my life one that I will never forget, everything was exactly how I wanted it. Big thank you Barns hotel Bedford.
Attended my nieces wedding here. We booked a room with 2 extra beds for my children. Room was fab, a little cosy as you would expect with 2 extra beds but none the less we were very pleased. The wedding was in the hotel and was just beautiful. The wedding breakfast was superb. The kids were well catered for. The staff were great. The breakfast the next morning was brill..loads of choice and buffet style so you could eat as much as you wanted. Reception staff were great too. Highly recommend it
Attended a birthday party here, the food was excellent and the disco afterwards. The service was efficient and speedy also very friendly.
We stayed the night the room was clean very comfy and and a super breakfast in the morning.
Well done the Barns I would consider this venue for any future functions I could have.
A massive thank-you to everyone at The Barns Hotel for throwing us an amazing wedding. We first booked because of how friendly everyone was during our initial visit and this was then reinforced every time we called or popped in. It created a great trust in us and made us very relaxed on the day. Had a lovely afternoon tea. The staff where very attentive. The food was lovely and we where sat by the windows with views of the river.
Quality of food good but very let down by poor service from the kitchen, lack of service industry by staff and incompetant duty manager. Seated at 8.00pm and dinner order taken by 8.15 starters served in dribbles at 9.15 and main course still being served at 1015.....with red wine "chilled" and brandy served with ice!!!! Dare not order any desert as we would have been eating at midnight... Wonderful setting and an ideal place to visit for a drink.
