Please help us to tackle fly-tipping in #Bassetlaw. It’s your rubbish and your responsibility #crimenottocare

What you can see here is just one day's worth of fly-tipping in Bassetlaw and in the last year there have been almost 2,000 incidents reported to us, which cost more than £115,000 to clean up. Cllr Julie Leigh, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods at Bassetlaw District Council, said; "You can see for yourself the impact that fly-tipping can have by visiting Bridge Street in Worksop today. Fly-tipping is a criminal offence and there is no excuse or justification for it. It's your rubbish and your responsibility." You can find more info at bit.ly/2IwT8rx #crimenottocare

Fly-tipping hits high street
Bassetlaw District Council will be highlighting how much fly-tipping is dumped on its streets, in its laybys and on country lanes with a hard-hitting display on Worksop’s high street next week.
On Wednesday 26th June, a collection of fly-tipping that represents how much waste is dumped in Bassetlaw on average each day will appear on Bridge Street in Worksop to show the public how serious a problem fly-tipping is and what they can do to help tackle... it.
